  • Restore factory setting how can i do that?

I want to restore factory setting my iphone 4s how can i do that? How about my pictures are they still there if i do that? How can i save my contacts, pictures and files so if i restore the factory setting i can bring it back to my phone?

iPhone User Guide (For iOS 6 Software)
    A restore will erase everything.
If you fail to backup your iphone, import your pics and transfer your purchases to your computer, then they will be gone.
You should have been syncing your contacts to your computer from day one.  Have you failed to do this?
Import all pics taken with iphone to your computer as you would with any digital camera.  You should be doing this regularly.

  • Is "restore factory setting" good for set's health...

anyone plz help me...i want to know abt "restore factory settings"
Q#1 : is "restoring factory setting" good for phone's health? And how often we should do that?
Q#2 : is there any possibilities of phone becoming slower after doing "restore factory setting"?
anybody knows abt these plz help......

    1. Do not think so...as it doesn't erase any data but just revert the SETTINGS back to Out-of-Box state..Needs to be done ONLY when need arises..
    2. No. Only when it switches ON after the Factory reset for the first time.. it will take a little longer time..

  • How to Restore Factory Settings on a Mac?

How to Restore Factory Settings on a Mac OS X 10.6.8?
I have been told you can do this without the Installation CD. I also do not remember the installation CD when i got the laptop. If it's possible then please someone let me know! if not then how can i get a new CD to do this?
my computer keeps freezing on me at random times, and i have tried taking the laptop to my college tech support and also Best Buy and they said they can't do anything and that i need to try resetting the mac.

You may not remember the installer disks but they came in the box. Your profile shows you are running 10.6.6 Snow Leopard. To restore back to factory settings you need those disks. That said to go that route may be unnecessry. Stay away from Best Buy tech people. They know nothing. Without the disks you do a repair disk to see if that helps:
Start up your computer in single-user mode to reach the command line.
Note: If necessary, perform a forced restart as described in the Emergency Troubleshooting Handbook that came with your computer. On desktop computers, you can do this by pressing the reset/interrupt button (if there is one) or holding down the power button for several seconds. On portable computers, simultaneously press the Command-Control-power keys. If your portable computer doesn't restart with this method, you may need to reset the Power Manager.
    At the command-line prompt type:
    /sbin/fsck -fy
Press Return. fsck will go through five "phases" and then return information about your disk's use and fragmentation. Once it finishes, it'll display this message if no issue is found:
** The volume (name_of_volume) appears to be OKIf fsck found issues and has altered, repaired, or fixed anything, it will display this message:
***** FILE SYSTEM WAS MODIFIED *****
Important: If this message appears, repeat the fsck command you typed in step 2 until fsck tells you that your volume appears to be OK (first-pass repairs may uncover additional issues, so this is a normal thing to do).
When fsck reports that your volume is OK, type reboot at the prompt and then press Return.
Your computer should start up normally and allow you to log in.

  • What happens If I restore factory setting my IPhone 4? Will I loose service provider too?

Hi, I'm trying to restore factory setting on my IPhone 4 and I have some concerns.
First, will it downgrade operating system to IOS 5 from 6?
And another question is what about cell phone service provider? Will I loose them too?
Let me know. Thanks in advance

No, it will not revert to iOS 5.  You will stay on iOS 6.
Restore Factory Settings will not cause you to lose your cellular provider.  But it may require you to re-activate with your current provider.

  • My notebook has been formated - How to restore factory settings?

    I need a little help.
A few months back my laptop was really playing up wouldn't fully load and kept showing toshiba screen then turning off again.
Anyway my mums friend offered to fix it he just made it worse.
He didn't only delete all my files, he deleted every single thing that came with the laptop, including the wireless thing!
I managed to make wireless again but now i dont know what else to do.
I dont even have my Restore Factory Setting built in anymore.....and cant find it online anywhere.
    what can i do??

    Hi
Could you please post a model number of your notebook?
Usually you could download all Toshiba drivers and tools from a Toshiba driver page.
But you could also order a Recovery Disk for you notebook model.
If you are owner of Toshiba European notebook series, then the recovery disk could be ordered here:

  • If restoring factory setting didn't work for my Ipad. What next?

Here are the things my Ipad did before dying:
    - Flashing keyboard and other random parts of the screen.
    - Apps wouldn't open
    - Apps wouldn't download
    - Would randomly restart
Then it died: Would only show the apple symbol until it ran out of battery and again once it was charged.
I plugged it into iTunes and got it restored to factory settings.
I went through the set up process on the iPad and restored the last back up.....within ten minutes of set up it the above started again. Within twenty minutes it was back to the apple symbol.
    What is my next step??
    Thanks

restore to factory setting mean getting it back to how it was at first
if you after you do that restore your backup then the restore to factory settings was pointless
everything it did was reverted when you restored to your last backup

  • Restoring Factory Setting for nokia 5800

i just installed a new theme for my nokia 5800 then when it was installed i tried it then suddenly my phone hanged and i cant press any buttons. I removed the battery and switched the phone on again then now my phone is running real slooooooow now i can't even unlock the keys now!!!!! ... anyway i was thinking that i'd restore the factory setting of my phone it will run smoothly again. anyone knows how to do it?? thanks in advance

From Ovi store you can set your account preferences to install to memory card, whenever I sideload applications, the phone usually asks where I want to install. Not everything can be stored to memory card, most Nokia stuff insists on installing on C and so only install Nokia software you REALLY need or want  !

  • How to restore Factory Settings on 2008 Macbook Original disk or Snow Leopard?

Hi, I've been browsing the forums to try and work out how to restore my 2008 Macbook to factory settings. What I can't seem to figure out is whether to use the Snow Leopard disks or the original disks that came with the computer?
    Thanks!

If you want to restore to factory settings use the discs that shipped with the computer when it was new.
