I accidentally erased my iPhone and it was not backed up, is there any way to get the lost data back?
The data is lost.
That's the purpose of a backup; to avoid data loss.
Try Googling for a third-party resolution, because there isn't an official one.
Did you have an iCloud backup?
Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content & Settings
Then during setup assistant, choose 'Restore From iCloud Backup'.
Worth a shot.

I accidentally erased my phone while using the Find my Iphone app. Now im trying to unlock it as my phone is also sim locked but this is the message that comes up :
"Your iphone could not be activated because the activation server is temporarily unavailable. Try connecting Your iPhone to iTunes to activate it, or try again in a couple of minutes."
This keeps repeating and there doesnàt seem to be anz alternative as iTunes isnàt letting me connect either.Hi, susanfergu.

If the photos were in your camera roll when you last backed up, restoring the backup should recover them. Restoring an iCloud backup requires first erasing your phone. If you have any newer data on your phone since the backup that you want to keep, you'll need to save that first. Then go to Settings>General>Reset, tap Erase All Content and Settings, go through the setup screens on the phone and when given the option, choose Restore from iCloud Backup. Sign into your iCloud account and choose your last backup to restore to.
Make sure you phone is connected to wifi and your charger as this may take some time to finish. -

Hold down the on/off button and the home button for 20 to 30 sec, when the iPod starts and the Apple logo is on the screen release the on/off button but continue to hold the home button until you see the plug into iTunes screen. Connect the iPod to iTunes and you should be good to go.

if you have a mac and have it set that way, they are archived on the mac.

Depending on the device you are using, there are a few ways you can try and retrieve the lost data.
If you use a memory card on your device, you can restore the data stored on it: go to Menu > Applications > Office > File Manager > Backup > Options > Restore.
Also, if you have used Nokia Suite on a computer to sync or back up your files, please connect the phone to your PC and go to Options > Restore and/or perform a sync.
If none of these options allow you to retreive your data, I advise you to regularly back up your device using Nokia Suite in case your data gets accidentally lost.

If I did the IOS 8 update and didn't back my phone up before the update, does that mean all of my pictures are gone? While I was doing the update it told me to plug my phone into iTunes. I did so and then it said my phone needed to be "restored" but it said I was going to get my pictures, messages, music and contacts back later on. Now being one day later I did not get any of that back.
If you don't have a backup then you can't get the data back.
It's not typical for an update to require a restore, but for a handful of people the update gets interrupted, and this happens. -
I am asking this because my iPhone 4S is really starting to slow down. And I think is mainly due to the deleted text messages bug (i.e., they are still searchable in spotlight!), therefore not deleted off my phone and slowing it down. There are big delays opening up apps (especially Messages) and now, sometimes, my phone won't even vibrate when texts come in. I also just want to completely wipe the slate clean and start fresh, but I still would like to save the SMS conversations I already have. So I guess what I am afraid of is wiping my phone then iTunes sees the phone as a completely new phone and not "Drew's iPhone" therefore making a restore impossible. Would this be an issue at all?? If you restore your phone as new - your text message will be deleted from the phone.
If you erase all contents and settings and then restore from a backup, your text message will still be there. -

The only possible way would be if you had a backup of the media on another device. FYI, iDevices are not and have never been backup devices.
Although maybe you can talk to your dad and get your phone and/or laptop back.
