If you restored as new, without using a backup, and still only get an option to restore, there is a hardware problem or the phone was previously hacked (jailbroken, downgraded iOS, unauthorized unlock). Your only option is to take it to Apple or whoever provides iPhone service in your country.

If you resintall iTunes, it should fix the issue. The following document will go over how to remove iTunes fully and then reinstall. Depending on what version of Windows you're running you'll either follow the directions here:

If Wi-Fi syncing is checked in iTunes not sure what else it could be. I would backup your device and restore.

If your MacBook Pro has an Intel processor and at least 1gb or RAM, you can upgrade your machine to the minimum operating system requirements for use with iTunes 11.

Have you tried resetting the SMC? The SMC (System Management Controller) has control over the charging function, so resetting it may help.

Go to the genius bar. You've mucked up your MBP OS and it requires a hands on repair.

After upgrading i can not sync my iphone 4

Last week I upgraded my iPhone 4 with the latest version. Ever since then, my iTunes stops and closes when syncing. I have re-installed the latest version of software on my iPhone and on iTunes. I read that if you remove your pod casts that this might work. I have deleted all of my pod casts also and still I can not sync with out iTunes stopping and closing on me. Any other ideas?

what is your computer? Are you using a window based or mac? If in window based, itunes might be corrupted. Go to control panel and uninstall all of itunes component (everything from apple) then download the latest version and install

N95: can not sync contacts & calendar after firmwa...

i have a n95 and i've updated without error to last firmawe version.
this firmware update delete all data (contacts, calendar, notes etc etc) from my mobile and now when i want o syncronize with outlook y can not do it. zero record are sincronized and i have no errors.
i'm thinking to uninstall pc suite and install again but first.... i prefer ask here.
i've change several times sync info and configuration in order to make a change but when i back to outlook i can not sync.

i could work with others pc suite tools like send sms, see new contacts created after upgrade).
it seems like pc suite did not know that there are differences between phone db and pc suite db because they had the same "change number". i thinks this value would be reseted after upgrade but for any reason did not do it.
