Guys, I just upgraded my iphone 3gs to ios6, it took 2 hours get it installed. However asfter installing there are issues with activating it.
Its getting failed every time..."says the activation server is temporarily unavailable".
Tried activating via itunes but no respite " says No sim inserted".
pls help.No, I did not find a way to fix it. Went to Apple store to be told that the phone is dead and I would need to purchase a new phone. A little frustrated with the fact that it is Apple who caused the phone to not work!

My Contracted SIM is for an android phone, but when i put the sim in an iphone my 3g no longer works?.. Is it because my 3g is only active on the android os and not the ios platform? Texts, Calls and Wifi work fine but the 3g doesn't work. My phone only shows 'GPRS' in the top left corner. Also I get a message come up saying "Could not activate mobile data network. You are not subscribed to a mobile data service".

im sorry to be a bit thick here i didnt know this was happening until i looked through all my photoes i use an sd card to put pictures on lap top and icloud from my phone but in library there are all web pages i have ever been to ie face book ebay etc i didnt know if there was any thing i should be turning off many thanks for ur last answer though

my iphone is detected in itunes as normal, but screen on the phone only shows apple logo??? restored and everything but no difference its weird, it restores successfully and stuff but once done the screen only shows apple logo.. note:while restoring everything goes through as normal on the phone it shows the bar loading etc.. but once complete just stays on apple logo.
It can take a few minutes to reinitialize, but if it stays on the Apple logo for as much as 10 minutes there is something seriously wrong. Try restoring again, and set up as a new phone rather than installing your backup. If this fixes it you have a corrupt backup. If this doesn't fix it the phone is broken. Or possibly jailbroken.

The Organizer is NOT a separate download. When you install the downloaded file it will install both the Organizer and the Editor. If you think you have a bad download, delete the file you downloaded and download it again.

I just got an apple at&t iphone 4 and I have it unlocked. But I want to connect it to t-mobile, so I trimmed my sim card and once the phone was unlocked I inserted the sim and it says no sim, activation error. What can I do to fix this? What is wrong?

I should mention that if you are deadset on using a Mac, then you can run Windows 7 or 8 in Parallels. You will find about a 10% speed reduction using a VM emulation.
