Your signature states iPhone 3G, is that accurate? I ask because the end of the line for the 3G is 4.2.1. If it were possible to update that device beyond 4.2.1 it would involve hacking or jailbreaking which means you cannot get support here. -

i was updated my iphone 4S version yesterday night from version 6.1 to version 6.1.2 using iTunes 11.0.1.12 version. However after i updated my iphone 4s, i realized that my laptop's hardisk usage increases! Before i updated my iphone 4s, my laptop's hardisk free space was around 9.5GB. However after i updated my iphone 4s yesterday night, the hardisk free space suddenly dropped to 3.24GB (Approximately 6GB has used up).
I has been trying to search the reason why the free space can decrease that much at my Local Disk C but i couldnt found any additional files that caused this problem. I believed there is some hidden temporary files which still hidden in my laptop.
Please kindly assist on this matter AS SOON AS POSSIBLE since i dont wish my storage to be used up everytime when i update my iphone version.locating of such files 100% depend on if it's windows or mac

There is no brightness toolbar unless your iPhone is jailbroken. If so, you can try to restore to remove the JB.

hi there! i have an iphone 4 (version 4.3.3) and want to update to ios. I connected my phone to my laptop (for the irst time) and want to make sure i backed up my camera roll before proceeding to update. I transferred my apps to itunes but a window popped up later saying that there are a few apps that are not tranferred. Is there a menu on itunes where i can see what exactly is backed up, so as to proceed? I would be grateful if you could use some print screen.

SpyYou need to import all the photos, in your camera roll, BEFORE you even think about updating your phone. The iPhone camera roll is NOT designed for photo storage. It should be used for temporary storage only, and your photos imported, on a regular basis, just like photos from any digital camera. If you don't do this, you risk losing ALL of your photos. If you want photos on your phone, sync them back to your phone.

While the iPhone camera roll is included in the iPhone backup, if you rely on this, I guarantee you will eventually lose ALL of your photos...guaranteed. -

Appreciated much for any advice given.The first thing you need to do is (in the left side of iTunes, under devices) right click on your phone, and do a manual back up. As long as that works, this should work for you. After you back it up, go to your phone in iTunes, and do a "Restore". Click the option to restore and update. When it is done with the update, it will ask you if you want to set your phone up as a new phone, or restore from the last back up. Restore it, and after another restart, and a sync, you will have your updated phone without loosing your information.
