HT1414 I was trying to update my Ipad and now there is nothing on the Ipad and my computer does not even pick up that it is plugged into it

I was trying to update my Ipad using I tunes and I backed music and apps on my computer but I thought it was updating and then noticed that there was nothing on my Ipad. There is absolutely nothing on the iPad now and I have it still plugged into the computer but the I pad is not showing up in I tunes at all.

You update via the Mac Apple Store, not the iTunes store—that's music and movies.

i was updating my ipad to the new ios software. the cable got disconnected just as it was completing the update. when it connected again it said i need to restore it. Once going thru the restore process, it said that Itunes can't recognize the ipad. one note, the ipad shows on my itunes as a "IPAD" and no name, serial #, etc... The ipad has a symbol on it telling me to connect to itunes

A System Reset cures many ills. It's easy, quick and harmless:
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears.
A System Reset does not remove any apps, music, movies, etc. nor does it cause any settings to revert back to default.
Also, you might wish to download the iPad-2 User Guide. Pay special attention to page 162. Note that this Guide also applies to the iPad-1 with IOS 4.3 except for those functions that are not supported by the hardware.

Is there a way to resort an ipod touch to the point before a restore was done on it? It is telling me there is nothing in the icloud and I need to reset it back up.

I have Lion and both my Mini Server and Macbook Pro are less than a year old, however both were bought from Apple as reconditioned units so they might be older, and I expected they would have Thunderbolt but when I connect a Black Magic Intensity Extreme unit which is a thunderbolt powered and driven Device using a Thunderbolt Cable to either computer, it is not recognized.

No other information in Sys Info and I guess as both units, Mini and MBPro, were reconditioned, they were pre July and February , 2011, respectively.
I don't suppose there is any way to add Thunderbolt or USB 3.0 to prior generation Mac Products or get similar performance.

I had been trying to update an app on my IMac and when it came to do it, it said I must close down the app site, in this case WeatherEye. open /applications/activity monitor.app press on the app thats buggin ya and press quit/force quit

After trying to upgrade, I got the error 3014 and now I can't get the iPad to do anything. It continually shows the "plug in to iTunes" icon. How do I get past this problem?

Can't restore, can't power off, and pc can't detect iPad. Error code 3014 when trying to upgrade. Can't even restore to original settings. Opened Hosts files and I did not see 127....gs.apple.com, or other suggested files. Pls help.

Did you see the very end of this about not having enough space left on your computer specific to therror code 3014?
Errors 3000-3999 (3004, 3013, 3014, 3018, 3164, 3194, and so on): Error codes in the 3000 range generally mean that iTunes cannot contact the update server (gs.apple.com) on ports 80 or 443.
Update to the latest version of iTunes.
Verify the computer's date and time are accurate.
Check that your security or firewall software is not interfering with ports 80 or 443, or with the server gs.apple.com.
Follow Troubleshooting security software. Often, uninstalling third-party security software will resolve these errors.
An entry in your hosts file may be redirecting requests to gs.apple.com (see "Unable to contact the iOS software update server gs.apple.com" above).
Internet proxy settings can cause this issue. If you are using a proxy, try without using one.
Test restoring while connected to a known-good network.
Error 3002: If you experience this error while updating an iPod touch (2nd generation) or iPhone 3G, please use the standard update or restore process in iTunes (click Update or Restore).
Error 3014 may indicate that you need to free up more disk space on the computer before trying to restore again.
