Hi, have iphone 4s 32GB, recently updatd to iOS 6.0, kept loosing signal, yesterday lost signal completely, tried to reboot, restore..did not helped. any suggesstions? thanks

Me too .In China thousands of people have the same problem.
We had to change our SIM-card for several times.
Few of them solved ,but most of us are using  APPLE's  expensive IPOD  TOUCH.
So sad.
We have to wait and wait for maybe IOS 5.02, Will that really work.

  • I keep loosing signal on iPhone 4

I keep loosing signal on my iPhone 4 even though I'm in a good signal area for O2. There are no faults as other people are not having the same issue. I use a case so I don't grip the phone wrong. The issue has gotten worse over the past 2 weeks. I have used another sim card and that doesent work. Does anyone have any idea what the problem could be. I look after my phone and this issue is really annoying me.

    reset the phone

  • IPhone loosing signal and bricking

After updating 3G to 3.1 my phone is loosing signal WIFI and bricks after I press lock. It is frustrating as I am missing my important phone calls. Messages of missed call are also not coming thru.
Any solutions. I read that even after restoring people are having problems.
Hope Apple finds a solution soon. Loosing business.
May try restoring the phone and reloading my data, which I really don not want to do.
Maybe somebody comes with a solution.

I guess I'm having the same issue... several people had complained about trying to call me without success. Every time it happens, when I take a look at the phone it states "Searching..." in the where the 3g sign normally stands. The another not normal behavior is constant failures when sending SMS... I'm forced to reboot the device. I'm almost sure that this symptoms had started after 4.2.1 upgrade.

  • My 5s keeps loosing signal , 02 say it the latest update on ios 7 causing this  , is this true and what's happening about it plz ?

My iPhone 5s keeps loosing signal , I have contacted 02 , and they say it's to do with the latest ios 7 update , my messages and voice mail doesn't come through for a day or two after they are sent or left , this shouldn't be happening to a phone that is only a few months old !

Think about it.  If it were truly the iOS update, EVERYONE who has updated (and that's millions and millions of users) would be having problems.  It would be front page news.
Get a replacement SIM from O2 and see if this improves the situation.  If not, then basic troubleshooting steps are restart, reset, restore from backup and restore as new device.  If those don't work, then you have a hardware issue with the phone (not a problem with the iOS 7 update) and will need to bring it to Apple for servicing.

  • My iPhone 5 loses signal on the Vodacom LTE network. Is it the network or my phone playing up ?

When I put in Airplane mode and back it seems to fix the problem. But this is very annoying and not what I would expect from the NEW iphone 5.   I have read a lot about this issue but NO SOLUTION

  • E71 looses signal and disconnects when in remote S...

    Regarding E71 and remoteSIM mode:
Anyone experiences the same problem as I do, that the phone is loosing signal and few seconds later disconnects from the in-car bluetooth (VW Touareg with RNS-510 module)? Mine keeps disconnecting, E61i did not do that. When driving E71 stays connected to in car system for maximum few minutes and than looses signal first and disconnects shortly after that.
Anyone here with the same car (unit) combination who could confirm/deny?
    Thanks
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Still no solution from Nokia here.
Make sure your RNS 510 (build in VW multimedia unit) has the newest firmware (recent is 1102). You can find out which firmware your device has by holding SETUP button when the device starts (and displays Welcome to Volkswagen screen). A new menu appears featuring the software version. Should it not appear (make sure you keep holding the button until the menu appears) that means you already have the new software version.
Many people say that this solves the problem assuming you have the newest phone version 200.21.118 from 27-11-2008. I can't check myself as I have additional device connected to my RNS (TV free). Upgrading to 1102 would disable it which I don't want, so I'm still waiting for another solution...
    Good luck!

Battery problem, anntena or motherboard? pleas help.

it could be a motherboard problem. Last month I spilled liquid on to my iphone and since I didn't have warranty for it I had to take it to a "phone doctor". He fixed it but mentioned that motherboard is working fine but he can not say for sure for how long it will last, and that I may experience some wierd problems. I'm having this exact problem the day I got my iphone back.
Well no longer but the solution still seems wierd. I turned on the "location services" because I saw in the "system services" screen that "cell network search" was turned on. I figured if I don't screw with location services, it would be okay. So, after three hours, I terminated the sleep in 10-20-30 minutes and 1 hour intervals, it seems I no longer have the problem but I'm going to sleep over it to be sure. Also make sure to turn on the "auto" option on the "carrier" menu.
I will post the outcome if I don't forget about this page.

Here are some observations and a suggestion.
    1)  I mentioned before, that the number of views of this discussion forum is fast approaching 100,000.  I suppose relative to all iPhones sold that is not a great percentage, but 100,000 still sounds pretty impressive to me.  Consider also that many people probably have this same Sim problem and are not viewing this discussion forum because thay do not know it exists.  How many people are REALLY experiencing this problem?  Who knows.  But I suspect it is more that 100,000.
    2)  To the best of my knowledge, Apple does not consult these forums as a guide to awareness of product performance.  It may be company policy, but most of the time when I speak to an Apple employee they seem remarkably unaware of the "Top Stories" in the Apple Discussion Forum.  This, despite the fact that my personal experience with customer service at Apple is excellent.  So, as much as we of this discussion forum are confident SOMEONE important at Apple is reading all our posts and taking them to heart...I am not so sure.
    3)  I have been told over and over that the best way to gain Apple's attention regarding a problem is to post a comment on their Feedback Site.  One comment about a problem is pretty worthless.  100,000 comments on the same issue, I'm guessing, will really get their attention.
    4)  Some folks have mentioned a recall to address this problem.  Although such a thing is always a possibility, I don't see it happening.  Why?  When the brakes on a Toyota don't work, or that Toyata starts to accelerate without driver intention...well, that involves human life and the stakes are quite high.  For many reasons you would see the automotive industry eventually be forced into a recall program under such a situation.  But, a phone APPEARS to not nearly be such a life and death device.  Or is it?  My daughter's iPhone 4S developed a "SIM FAILURE" on the same day her car broke down in the middle of the very rural area we live at around 10:00 pm.  She is 17 years old and was coming home from high school play practice.  You can imagine the anxiety I and her mother felt when she did not arrive home on time.  She eventually walked about a quarter mile to a house of a stranger and had to ask to use their phone to call us.  Now, I am not saying that strangers where I live are not to be trusted.  But, in addition to being worried out of my mind, I was not happy that an inoperative iPhone 4S caused my daughter to be put in this situation.  My biggest concern now is...when will my daughter's iPhone become inoperative again due to SIM FAILURE?
    5)  The more folks in this discussion forum who post a comment about this issue in Apple's feedback site the more pressing this issue is going to be perceived by Apple.  So, I like others, encourage all of you to do so.  If this seems like a lot of effort, I offer you these few sentences below that you could just copy and paste into the feedback site.
The link to feedback site is:  http://www.apple.com/feedback/
Feel free to use copy/amend/whatever the following as you wish:
    Dear Apple,
I wish to register a strong concern about my iPhone's unpredictable inoperability due to failures somehow associated with it's SIM technology.  For me, I do not consider this just a significant lack of convenience, but a significant safety issue.  Should I need my phone in an emergency situation where it is experiencing  a SIM FAILURE, I believe the iPhone will have put me at risk.  I would ask you to please give fixing this problem your greatest priority and effort.
    Sincerely, XXXX

  • N8 loosing signal - What to do?

    Heya everyone!
Yea, as some other people have written in here, then the N8 can loose the signal to your provider.
Now I have tried: Updating my N8, got a new sim-card and I have just talked to the place where I bought it, and they now wanna send it in.
But it's funny, cause I have had the phone for almost a year now, and it has just begun to occur 1 month ago.
It's when I hold my hand over the bottom of the phone, and when I touch the bottom. Now my question to you is:
Should I let them send my phone in, wait multiple weeks and then get it back, with a hope of it being fixed. Or should I just try to change to a new provider, with a hope of that provider having a better signal area where I live?
It should be said that I tried to hold the phone in the way so it "messes" up when I were @ the place I bought it, but it would not loose signal out there, which also tells me that it might be a combination of **bleep** connection, and a phone which is a bit bad @ keeping the connection.
It should also be said that I have full signal when it's just lying here next to me, but when I touch it, it's going right down to zero..
Hope someone can help me, advise or perhaps a solution ??
    Thx, yours faithfully, Shadowjens

Take the device to Apple or an Apple authorized service center and let them check it out.
