Iphone 4S froze with a display with USB to Itunes during an Itunes software update for Iphone 4S. Will not power down or restore, even after holding down home button simultaneously with button on the top right edge.

I have an old iPhone 3 gs. with ios 3.1.3. how can i update it to at least an ios 5 because it will not let me get games on the app store because the ios is so low.
Update it from iTunes on a computer as described at the bottom of this article; there isn't a Software Update option in General on iOS versions prior to 5.0. It can only be updated directly to the newest iOS release supported by the device’s hardware, which is iOS 6.1.6 for an iPhone 3GS.

I am trying to copy voice memos from my iPhone 3GS to iTunes. The memos on the iPhone don't show up in iTunes. How can I proceed? I did select manual manage, and i included voice memos.
But, the memos on the iPhone simply don't appear in iTunes. How can I get the memos from the phone to iTunes?Would this matter then? can you not update the 3g to the lastest software?

You don't. The only place to obtain apps for any iPhone is the app store. However, most, if not all of those apps won't run/install on an iPhone 3G. iOS 4.2.1 is the end of the line for your phone & most developers no longer support it.

T-Mobile is a GSM network whereas Sprint is a CDMA network. They are incompatible. Sprint is not obliged to unlock a phone that is still under contract. Their phones may not be capable of being unlocked.

Imac with 2 users/Itunes accounts, how can I use both on Apple TV?
We have 2 users on my Mac desktop and each have separate Itunes accounts. How can I get both to work on Apple TV?
We both login into the same Imac with our own user names and passwords,

The ATV works great with my account and login,
but I don't/can't see how to change login on ATV to let her stream her Itunes account on ATV

Apps can be downloaded again for free but music and movies cannot.

My ipod classic is still working, its not frozen or anything. It just won't sync up with my macbook and itunes. I recently realized that I had previously connected it to a PC just to charge it then it when i tried to connect it to my mac, it wouldn't sync up. Can someone help me figure this out? I don't want to lose all of my data though, like music, photos, or videos. Any help is appreciated! Thank you for your time!
okay, I don't know about the rest, but about the songs never actually loading onto your iPod, I found in another discussion how to fix that. I'm using Windows 7, so I don't know if the steps are the same, but the end result is the same. So go into your Start menu, then into accessories, right click 'Command Prompt' and click 'Run as administrator'. Then type in the following: netsh winsock reset then press Enter. After a few seconds it should tell you to to restart your computer for changes to take effect. Restart your computer, then restart iTunes, then everything should be working fine. It still takes forever sometimes to update the iPod, but eventually it will work. I've had to do this multiple times, so I'd suggest copying & pasting this solution into a notepad or Word document and saving it on your computer, so you don't have to go through the discussions again to find it. This tends to happen to me nearly every day unfortunately Hope this fixes that problem, but I'm not having any of the other problems fortunately, except for removing the artwork of the songs it updates without me asking it too. PS I think my problem may be with iOS 5, because iTunes 10.5 came out before iOS 5, and I think everything was fine before I updated my iPod, but I really don't know where the problem lies

If you hvaen't reset or restored the phone yet, try that first. Otherwise, If the phone is still under warranty, contact Apple for an evaluation.

ITunes LP - How can I return to the LP content while playing?
The other day I bought an iTunes LP (Pink Floyd - The Wall) which contains quite a lot of nice extra material. My problem is that to access that content you must start playing the album from the top, even if it's already playing.
What I do is that I find the album in my library, usually by navigating in the Artists view. When I found the album I start the playback by clicking on the "Play iTunes LP" button below the album name. This opens up the iTunes LP content and to start the music I click on the "Play LP" text. All is fine even if I for some reason leaves the iTunes LP content (by clicking the "x" in the upper left corner) which brings me back to the library. The music keeps playing, which is what I would expect.
Now the problem comes: How do I get back to the iTunes LP - without having to restart the music from the first song?
As soon as once again click the "Play iTunes LP" button in the library, the playback stops and I have to again click the "Play LP" text which starts the album from the top. I would expect that if the album was actually playing, the playback would not stop.
Am I doing something wrong? Is there any other way to get back to the iTunes LP content without starting from the beginning?
I'm using iTunes 11.0.5 on my iMac.Index Values, I think, is the property you are looking for. Set the index to 0 to be at the top.

That download was available at all the online stores: if you looked at the main page of the Thai app store at the time it was released (and for a couple of weeks after) it clearly displayed a 3.0 update advertisement. I was able to update a 3G iPhone and a first generation iPod touch using my account on the Thai app store.
Are you accessing the iTunes store, using iTunes (or the Thai online store at http://store.apple.com/th)? It is the one using iTunes that you need.
What you need to do to download this, is to connect your iPod touch to the computer (your details do not say which computer or OS you use) and in the iTunes panel that opens, there is a button to check for updates (although the update may appear by itself). If this still reports that it is unavilable, let me know and I will ask someone.
You will not be able to change your account, but there is nothing to prevent you setting up a new account in the US as long as (for purchasing) you use a US credit card. -
While trying to sync my iphone 4 my screen froze with a picture of blue circle with a music note in it, says iTunes under it and a picture of the end of the USB cord at the bottom...it will not let me reboot my phone and will do NOTHING else...anyone else have this happen?? How do I fix this??
