HT1414 my ipad wont restore?

It's in recovery mode and I have tried to restore from Itunes but no luck

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

    Error 2000-2009 (2001, 2002, 2005, 2006, 2009, and so on)
If you experience this issue on a Mac, disconnect third-party devices, hubs, spare cables, displays, reset the SMC, and then try to restore. If you are using a Windows computer, remove all USB devices and spare cables other than your keyboard, mouse, and the device, restart the computer, and try to restore. If that does not resolve the issue, try the USB issue-resolution steps and articles listed for Error 1604 above. If the issue persists, it may be related to conflicting security software.
Look at this discussion that I found in the More Like This box on the right. You can try the recommendation in it as well.

  • HT1414 My ipad wont turn on  and its all charged up

    My ipad wont turn on

    JDBCB-
To turn the iPad completely off, you would hold the Sleep button until the "Slide to power off" arrow appeared, and then slide it off.  Conversely, to turn it back on you would need to hold the Sleep button for several seconds until the Apple logo appeared.  You might think it was not responding if you did not hold the Sleep button long enough.
If that approach does not help, try holding both the Home and Sleep buttons for several seconds until the Apple logo appears.  Ignore the "Slide to power off" arrow if it appears.  If successful, the iPad will restart after a couple of minutes.  Resetting this way will not hurt anything, and sometimes clears up mysterious problems.
Beyond this, you may need to show your iPad to an Apple Store Genius.  If the Genius can not solve the problem, you will probably get a replacement iPad on the spot.

  • HT1414 my iphone wont restore itself how to i resolve this

its an old iphone 3G it was passed down to me by my dad i think its a pretty old one and hasnt been updated for a long time... o wanted to remove eveything off the phone so i restored it but ever since it wont restore it tells me there is a problem it says there error code is 1015... how do i resolve this

Error 1015 occurs on a phone that's been jailbroken.

  • New Ipad wont restore to ios 6

rather comes up with error 6 and error 3194. now ipad is not restoring and and comes up with the image of 'plug into itunes'. I plug it into itunes, and it says to to restore to latest firmware, but when i restore it comes up with more errors

This won't solve you immediate problem, but in the future you can enroll your iPads in Meraki's free MDM, which allows remote removal of lock codes to registered devices. Note that it will NOT re-enable the device if the wrong password has been entered too many times, although it will be gone once the timer expires. If the limit has been reached and the device is perminantly disabled, as far as I can tell (including a support call to Apple), there is no way to retrieve the user information - the iPad can only be wiped and reloaded from scratch.

  • My Ipad Wont Restore!!?!?

it says that the Ipad "Ipad" could not be restored. An unknown error occured (9). What does this mean? HELP ME PLEASE!

This error occurs when the device unexpectedly loses its USB connection with iTunes. This can occur if the device is manually disconnected during the restore process. This issue can be resolved by performing USB troubleshooting, using a different USB dock-connector cable, trying another USB port, restoring on another computer, or by eliminating conflicts from third-party security software.

I forgot my passcode to my iPad (sadly). So I have to restore it however I have been stuck in the restore mode for about 2 days now. I took down my firewall and norton security. I just tried to "restore" again the SAME EXACT ERROR came up again. So now im frustrated and tired. What do I do next. I am currently downloading King Peungin solution to see if it works.

This helped meRe: Failed update from ios 3.2.2 to 5.1 for iPad 1, what can I do?
Nov 12, 2011 3:02 AM (in response to sophiefm)
Try temporarily turning off your firewall and antivirus software until the download has completed.
If that doesn't work then you could try downloading the update via a browser and then in iTunes pressing and holding the shift key on Windows (command key on Mac) when clicking the Check For Updates button which should let you navigate to the downloaded file :
    ipad1
    iPad 2 wifi-only
    iPad 2 GSM/sim
    iPad 2 CDMA
I am tired and I would really appreciate if someone could help me out. Thank You.
I have already tried the hold home button and start button crap. everytime it begins to restore it goes so far then gets stuck and pops up on the computer saying it has resotred leave ipad in computer for a few seconds. but all the ipad does is pop up connect to itunes.

Read his post again. He said that he used a USB port directly on the computer, do not use a hub to connect the iPad to iTunes.
" but i read on another post to not use a usb hub but plug directly into back of computer. did this and it is now working"

  • IPad wont restore, stuck in recovery mode!!

My iPad wouldnt turn on, it would show the apple logo for like 10 seconds then the screen would flash black and then the apple logo would show again, this happened over and over again and would never turn on. I tried everything, then finally I gave up and decided to just restore it. So I put my ipad in recovery mode and plugged it in. It would get to the point where the bar on the ipad started filling up then it would stop and give me an error. At first it gave me error 14, so I did everything this website told me to do: http://support.apple.com/kb/ts3694. Then it gave me error 9 but I dont even have any security on this computer. So I tried different things and it kept giving me different errors. I even tried restoring on different computers. I gave up and now my ipad is stuck in recovery mode. Ive tried putting it in dfu mode, tried turing it off and back on, nothing, still recovery mode. I have an iPad 4. I dont have any other options. What do I do?

If you tried this, and still nothing, then a trip to the Genius Bar is in order.
Turn your device off and connect your cable to the computer, but not the device just yet. Start up iTunes. Now, hold down the home button on your device and plug it in to the cable - don't let go of the button until iTunes tells you it's detected a device in recovery mode. Now you can restore to factory settings.

  • Ipad wont restore to earlier back up copy

I backuped my 32 gb wifi - 3g and recently bought a used 64 wifi - 3g.  I want to move everything from the 32 to my 64 before giving the 32 to my wife.  I backed up the 32 and then plugged in the 64.  Everytime it stats to restore it the estimated time goes throught the cieling.  Typically it goes from 3 minutes estimated time to 2+ hours estimated time within 2 minutes or less.
I have restored the 64g to original a half dozen times but that is where the cooperation ends.
    Do you have any ideas?

You can only choose to restore from backups that you can find under "Settings > iCloud > Storage & Backup > Manage Storage" (check the time and date). If you want to restore your device from this backup then you would have to reset your device (Settings > General > Reset) so that you can choose the backup during the initial set up process.
