First, to get the tray open. You need to push harder.
Secondly, Does it have a wall power plug? If the battery is dead, it's won't work. Try to charge it with the wall plug adopter and not through the computer. Some USBs don't put out power so, are you pluging it into a Powered USB?
Try these and let us know.
OH! If you got it wet, you may have ended it. Did you get it wet? You could try putting it in a bag of rice, and hope it works.

It's not uncommon for it to not work the first time and sometimes, you have to try it a few times. Turn off your antivirus software and your firewall while you are trying to restore the iPad. Enable them again after you restore.
If that still won't work, post back with detailed information as to what exactly does happen as you go through the process. -

Disabled
Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

IPhone wont turn on. Tried everything
I was using my phone and it was on 7% then all of a sudden it turned off. I saw the gray spiral that shows in the middle of the screen when the phone dies then it shut off completely. I pressed the home button and it showed the empty battery symbol and the symbols indicating it needed to be plugged into a charger. So I got home and I plugged it into the wall charger. Usually it shows that its charging before itcompletely turns back on, but it showed nothing. So I tried pressing the home and power button simultaneously and I got nothing. I tried the same thing but this time I plugged it into a computer, and again.. nothing. I'm not sure what to do. Any help is appreciated. Thank you
Let you iPhone recharge for a while, if you are still having problems, try holding down the on/off and the home buttons at the same time unitl you see the Apple Logo.

i have mac 10.6.8 and safari 5.1.10. on checking help website i am told latest flash player 16.0.0.305 is already installed BUT does not appear on my list of applications and am unable to access websites requiring it. have also downloaded flash player installer app but unable to download the flash player itself. can anyone help? thank you!

Your version of Safari is still supported. Please see Adobe Flash Player | Tech specs for supported OS and browsers.
If the Flash Player plugin is in the Plug-ins (disabled) folder it's because it's an older version that Apple has disabled in Safari. This has nothing to do with whether or not Flash Player supports the browser.
I'm not sure what you mean by "when i click on flash player itself i am told there is no application to open it." Flash Player.plugin only works in the browser to view Flash content in the browser. The plugin does not open files outside of the browser. If you have SWF files you'd like to view outside of the browser, then you'll need the Flash Player projector. However, based on your previous comments this doesn't appear to be what you are trying to do.
Google Chrome does embed Flash Player in it, while Firefox does not. Mozilla has also recently started blocking older versions of Flash Player in Firefox similar to what Apple is doing in Safari.
Following the 'clean install' instructions should result in you having the latest version of Flash Player installed that will not be blocked by the browser.

Ignore the reset and when it says place the iPod in recovery mode

Is the hold switch in the on position? Try resetting the iPod. To do this, press and hold both the Select/Center and menu buttons together long enough for the Apple logo to appear. The iPod may have simply locked up.

I have recieved an iopd classic 30gb, and it is not turning on. I am stuck at a black screen with a very faint apple logo in the center. When I try to reset, the screen goes blank for a second then goes back to the same screen. I really want to fix it, PLEASE HELP!!!!!

My daughter and I share the same Verizon account. When she activated her I Phone (which I also have an I Phone 5c) - we started receiving all of each other's text messages. I need your help as soon as possible to stop this. WE DO NOT WANT TO READ EACH OTHER'S TEXTS! Please HELP!

I deleted my old iCloud account and when i restored my phone i couldn't log out of iCloud
I restored my new phone with my old settings on accident and now I cant sign out of find my phone without my old icloud account, I tried to reset it but it sent the password reset to my old e-mail that got spammed.I also tried using the find my phone app to log it out but it said it would work when connected to the Internet. how can I sign out of find my phone to reset it?

I'm trying to add the Epicurious recipe clipper to my toolbar. It shows Epicurious recipe clipper in the tool bar but without the icon. Looks like it is not allowing me to completely add it.
The Epicurious recipe clipper is not working in general. I tried to use it once I read this and attempted to open it on two different browsers just to test it and both didn't work. Firefox is not causing Epicurious recipe clipper to not work so what I would do is contact them and tell the company that Epicurious recipe clipper is not working so they can fix it.

However, after your remove the Apple software components also remove the iCloud Control Panel via Windows Programs and Features app in the Window Control Panel. Then reinstall all the Apple software components
- New cable and different USB port
- Run this and see if the results help with determine the cause
