HT1414 My iphone 4s is stuck in the CONNECT TO ITUNES screen (appears everytime i turn it on or connect it to a power source)
It all started when i tried to update to iOs 6 but then, my battery drained. I charged it (va power source) and waited for the red battery bar icon to appear. However, it did not appear. Instead a CONNECT TO THE ITUNES screen appeared even when i'm not connected to a laptop. It was stuck there. When i turned it off and on again, the same screen appears even my iphone is not connected to any kind of power source.
What should i do?
i tried turning it off and on again
tried restarting it by pressing the wake button and the home button (a lot of times already), still the same
i tried restoring it (noe effect)
pls help me
I bought the iphone in another country, i'm not sure if apple can repair it in my country
i tried to connect it but it didnt work...nothing changed...

I updated my iphone but it is requiring me to plug in to itunes, I can not get in to it bc my laptop is broken, is there anyway around it? Can I get out of the update? It is stuck on the "Plug into iTunes screen"
If you are in a screen to plug into iTunes, then the device is in recovery mode. Your only option is to connect to the computer to restore the device. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808

Updated my Iphone 4s to the new IOS and now i can't restart or recover it. as soon as it starts recoring, the status bar fades and the connect to itunes screen appears. WHAT THE HEY!? I'm SICK of UPDATE ISSUES!!!!!!
Yes, yes, yes... I've gone through all the common sense trouble shoots. Would't be here asking questions if that answers existed on the net. Sorry if I sound a bit edgey, but I've had nothing but issues with every update since IOS 7. Clearly there's nothing that can be done about this. and this is the final nail in the coffin to try to make me buy an Iphone 5.

My iPhone 4 Randomly cut off and "connect to itunes" screen appeared
I was using twitter on my phone (EchoPhone) and then my phone cut off. It would not turn back on when I pushed the power button. I went to the car and plugged into the car charger and the connect to itunes screen appeared. This has happened to 3 people I know in the past week.
See if this article is of some help:

My phone is stuck on the connect to itunes screen when i started to update it and when i connect it to itunes nothing happens. What do i do to fix it ?
Hold down the Home and Power button to shut off the iPhone. Keep it disconnected from the computer. Then, hold down the Home for 20 seconds. Connect it to the computer while continuing to hold down the Home button. Wait for iTunes to say your iPhone is in Recovery mode. Then, restore.

It is restored now. Thanks for the comment about disabling firewalls - we did that and tried again and it worked.

I went to update my software for my iPad 2 and my ipad has been frozen for hours on the connect to itunes screen. I unplugged it and tried to recover it but it doesn't work. When I connect it back to my computer it says ITunes has detected an ipad in recovery mode. You must restore this ipad before it can be used with itunes.
Can anyone out there help?kokodeelish wrote:

Yesterday, I had bought myself an ipod touch and it was working just fine until today when I went along with an itunes prompt to update my ipod. It failed to update and now won't recognize it, I checked to see if it was recognized by my computer--and it is, but a thing pops up that says "access denied" whenever I try to click on it. The screen on my ipod is stuck wanting me to connect to itunes.
See Here > http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808
You may need to try this More than Once...
Be sure to Follow ALL the Steps...
But... if the Device has been Modified... this will Not necessarily work
