HT1414 my iphone is frozen and when i am trying to restore the same it is giving error code 21 again and again
Please help my iphone is frozen and showing only apple sign, after following few tips for web it reached to itunes sign but every time i am trying to restore my iphone it is giving me an error code 21 ???
If your phone is frozen showing the Apple logo, you need to try to force it into recovery mode to restore it as discussed here:http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1808. If you're getting error 21, try disabling or troubleshooting your security software (anti-virus, etc.). I am trying to set up a new iphone to my old iphone's settings. When i have tried to back it up it displays a error message saying that it cannot back up because the back up was not saved. Anyone have any ideas?
First backup the old phone to iTunes using right mouse click then backup after that restore from backup on the new device .

Are you sure that that was the complete wording of the error message? Usually an error number or other information is also included.

When I downloaded (on PC) the new 5 it crashed my iPad 2. This is Linda again. The new iPad actually as not restored on my employees computer. I thought it was working. Message said the device is in recovery mode and can not be restored. I have been at the Apple store for a total of 6 hours and on the phone with support for at least 4 hours. And now the replacement has crashed??? Has this happened to any one else?

Once you power on your unit keep tapping the F10 key go to Diagnostics menu Run the Hard drive & Memory test in case any test fails you need to replace the part. If both the test passes please let me know.

Yes. You can't update or restore any GSM iPhone without a valid sim card installed in the phone. The sim card need not be activated, but it must be valid & present. If you want to update, you need to get a sim card.
