I have an iPod Touch that has the IOS 5.1.1 and I want to update my OS without having to buy a new device. How can I do this? I have logged into ITunes, backed up my device and it says my device is up to date, but now I can't reload my Facebook App because it says I need IOS 6.0 or higher. Does anyone have any suggestions?

How do i deal with 'security certificate' issues on my iPad2? I'm unable to answer the security questions that pop up when Im trying to download an app because the pop up does not load properly...

Basically my Ipad2 stopped allowing me to go to sites such as Tumblr a little while ago. It wouldn't display the page properly because of 'security certificate' issues. This in itself would not have been such a problem, but when I went to the App store to try and download the Tumblr App, a pop up appeared asking me to answer some security questions before I could successfully install the App. However, the pop up would not display correctly because of 'security certificate' issues and as a result I can't download any apps from the App Store. Can anyone help with this??

I have an ipad2 and the screen shattered. It still works but is there a way to safely fix it without having to buy a new one?

We were on April vacation this past week and my ipad fell onto the road and shattered the screen. I can still get onto it and maneuver around my apps but the screen is spider webbed and shattered. I have heard their are screen kits you can but to replace yourself, but the reviews are mixed. They also say to be careful of the wi fi wires because you can severly screw it up. This was a huge purchase for me and I can't afford to get another one. What can I do? Best Buy says they aren't allowed to replace the screens from Apple products and I have heard Apple just sells you a new one at a lower cost. Is there a way for me to replace the screen myself?

I can't download some apps of the App Store.

I got a new iPad 4 and I updated it to the new version and after I did that my kik wasn't there anymore. I went to the App Store so I could re download it but I can't it won't let me it says "open" but when I click on it it won't let me open it this is also napping with some apps I haven't even downloaded. Please help.

- Temporarily disable anti virus software if installed.
- Apps such as Little Snitch, Net Nanny, and Hands Off can prevent apps from downloading including Mountain Lion.
- Third party download managers are not compatible with the App Store.
If nothing above applies, install the OS X Lion Update 10.7.5 (Client Combo)
That will reinstall the App Store for you as well as any necessary system files. It's ok to do this even though v10.7.5 is already installed.
Retart your Mac after the combo is installed.
Then try the App Store.

And yes we do not have disagreement about "official apple developers". Problem is that Apple screwed our devices because we are "official apple developers" and did effort to stop us getting proper help. I unbricked my ipad and iphone thanks to unofficial help. Thank you who wrote this unofficial help and "no thanks" for apple for ruining my access to my devices. My mistake was assuming that "update" button on my devices works. It did not because it always told "Your device has latest IOS6 installed" until it bricked yesterday.
If Apple does not want to listen us, continue do delete post, blame us installing your software and yes we stop buying your devices and developing for them.

You need to restore the iPod on the new computer. You can only sync apps (and some other stuff) from different computers/libraries but you can manage music and some other stuff among different computers/libraries.
