My windows PC has been destroyed and replaced ( Windows7) and xp .How do I synchronise my Iphone and Ipad with my new PC without loosing any information. (contacts , music ,photo's etc ) . Is it a deliberate ploy by apple to make it impossible to transfer ?

The corporate policy for all applications is to open the PDF document in new browser/reader but our application needs the reader to open in the same browser even the preference "Display PDF in Browser" is unchecked.... The setPreference from javascript (html) doesn't seemed to work... How do i make this work?

There is no way to override that from your application. And if the Links in the PDF have an explicit "open in new window" setting, that is respected over the preference.

Okay, i have 2 bugs with maverick. First, when I delete a file within a window, the files deletes but the preview doesn't delete until I close the window and reopen it. Second, I work on a network of computers and the search feature is now buggy... When I search for a file, A) it asks me if it's a name, or it wont produce anything, and B), its slower than in prior OS versions and in some instances I have to toggle to a different directory and go back to my original directory in the search: menu bar or the search wont produce anything... Very buggy.

It appears to me that network file access is buggy in Maverick.
In my case I have a USB Drive attached to airport extreme (new model) and when I open folders on that drive they all appear empty. If I right click and I select get info after a few minutes! I get a list of the content.
It makes impossible navigate a directory tree.
File access has been trashed in Maverick.
They have improved (read broken) Finder. I need to manage a way to downgrade to Lion again.

Search results when accessed always opens in a new window

We are using WPC to develop web pages. We have created a Header component that contains the
search option and embedded in the framework so that it is available in all the web pages. An iview has
been created using the Header. The issue we are facing is that whenever the 'Search' button available
on the header is clicked the search results are launched in NEW window rather than within the current
window.
We have made sure that the iView Properties of the Header for "Launch in New Window" options is set
to - "Display in Portal Content Area". But still No luck.
I have also checked for the workprotect mode and it looks fine. Any pointers as to how the search
results can be displayed within the current active window rather than opening in a NEW window? Let me
know if I am missing anything.
We use the EPCM.doNavigate(advancedSearchURL) to launch the search results.

You would have to develop your own property renderer that sets the target to parent instead of blank, and create a property based upon the property renderer, and reference this property in the search result layout set.
The desired functionality cannot be obtained through "normal customization" even though some of the iview properties indicates that.
You can search for the documentation with regards to how to create a custom property renderer.

EVERYTHING i click on opens in a new window. even when checking email or whatever I click on the email a new window opens, then I click to go back to emails and a new windows opens. everything I do a new window opens it is super annoying. anyone have nay idea how to fix this?? I am really computer stupid in this department...HELP!!

Under Preferences > Content > checkmark "Block pop-up windows"
Under Preferences > Tabs > checkmark "Open new windows in a tab instead"
That may not solve all your problems, but it should make it a lot less annoying.

...but other websites, such as Google or CNN.com, work just fine.
I'm running Firefox 3.6.28 on my MacBook Pro, with OS 10.4.11. I can't update to the latest version of Firefox unless I update my OS, which would be costly and also involve increasing my RAM.
But the Firefox homepage worked fine until this morning. Is this likely to be a temporary glitch? If not, how can I fix it?

How do I set Firefox to open new windows in my second monitor?

When opening a new window (by right clicking a link and selecting Open in New Window), I would like the window to be opened in my second monitor. Firefox used to do this, but randomly stopped. Now when I open a new window it is opened in my primary monitor. It does not open maximized (just short of being completely maximized). I have tried the fix I used before- moving the un-maximized browser to the second window, closing and re-opening the window. I have also tried moving the un-maximized browser, maximizing, closing and re-opening. Does anyone know how I can restore Firefox to open my new window in the second monitor?

That is either a bug in Firefox 5 or the script has a problem with Firefox 5.<br />
It works in all other Firefox versions like Firefox 3 and 4 and 6 (Aurora) and 7 (Nightly).

I updated my 4S phone to IOS 7.1.2 and lost my wi-fi. The wi-fi is on, but can't find ANY networks. They tried all the exact same steps I did, took the phone apart and looked at and said it is in "pristine" condition. They have no idea why it isn't working, but they could offer to sell me another phone. This is extremely annoying! They claim it has nothing to do with the update to 7.1.2, but that is when I lost the wi-fi, so it has to be related!

My 4s i-phone which is 2 years old cannot find any wi-fi networks not even my home network... I had the same problem two months ago but i turned off the i-phone for 8 hours and then it was okay... Now it happened again.... I tried to restart the modem but whilst my laptop is connected regularly, my phone still cannot find any wi-fi networks... Apple limits iOS devices to three free iCloud accounts, & once that limit is reached on an iOS device you can no longer create a new account on that device. The solution is to create the account on a computer or another iOS device, then set that account up on your present iOS device.

There is no way to see where he has been.
Go into Settings > General > Restrictions > Safari and turn it off. Then add the MacGruff browser from the app store. After that go back to Restrictions and turn off the ability to add apps.
