HT1414 'Restore iPhone in Recovery' iPhone 4 has lost all my music.

After following the 'Restore iPhone in Recovery mode' instructions and resettiong all setting my iPhone 4 has lost all my music. It is in ICloud on home Mac desktop but cannot find how to re import it to my phone. Please help.

Thanks but...umm.. Its on the home Mac all 203 songs, now it says I have just 50??? tries to download, then says that it can't download each song, moves on to next..unable to down load and so on and so forth.them .
Itunes Library just has a search bar... to buy music.... how do I sync? Thought that I had... thats why icloud/library had all the songs...

Depending on which country that you are in you might be able to re-download it for free : re-downloading. Otherwise, have you not got a copy of them on your computer and/or on a backup that you can use to re-sync them to the iPhone ?

That wouldn't happen automatically, Firefox doesn't synchronize bookmarks with IE favorites.
Any chance you were using Google Bookmarks in Firefox? And then with the Google Toolbar not working any longer you just can't access your Google Bookmarks from within Firefox ??

My iPod Classic 160GB has lost all its music and won't sync or restore

My iPOD Classic 160GB has spontaneously lost all its music - approx. 5000 songs. One minute they were all there, now they're all gone - display says "No Music" although memory still shows 23GB in use? I tried to re-sync on iTunes but the iPod won't sync (error 1415) or restore (error 1439). As things currently stand,my iPod is just a very expensive paperweight - please can anybody help with this?

i understand you have all your music still in your itunes library?
Try the basic resetting of your ipod,also try another usb port.
Have you tried ,when ipod is connected,click on your ipods name,for example lindsays ipod,another window should open up and you can see summary,click on the sync box ,bottom right hand corner,see if this helps.
Or you could ,when you have itunes open,click for updates.

I had to wipe my PC I had backed up all my files to external harddrive, re loaded them on new PC and discovered when I plugged my iphone in to sync all my music files had dissapeared from itunes. itunes recognised my phone no probs when I plugged it in on new PC.
I thought everytime you plugged the iphone in it says it is making a backup of your phone if so how do I get it back (what really annoys me is that itunes in the first place took all my music file over and put it on to itunes if it hadn't of done this all my music would still be in my music folder outside of itunes).

If I go into "my music" on the pc there is no music as itunes took it over.
there is an itunes folder but I can't access anything in it.
when you say did I restore itunes after the wipe how was I supposed to do that? I just plugged my phone in and it recognised it, its just that if you click on the music folders they are all empty, I didnt have all the music on my phone just some.
I don't ask itunes to backup my data I just noticed it says that's what it is doing just before it syncs.

My iphone 4s has lost all my contacts

Out of nowhere my ipohone 4s has lost almost every contact.
The interesting thing- is the numbers that remain were all added after my last sync.
Even in the "cloud" it just has the new numbers....and I am not paying apple $19 for a one-time apple care troubleshooting session.
Anyone have suggestions as to what happened? At this point it appears even syncing it with computer won't work...

In Regards to this, You possibly wont be able to get the contacts from the iPhone 4 unless there is a back up file on your computer.
The original phone would be disabled due to alot of attempts of the wrong passcode. If all your contacts are on the cloud at the moment, you would be able to just set the iPhone 4S up with iCloud on it then Turn On "Contacts".
This would be bring all the contacts down from your iCloud onto your 4S.
But you will only be able to merge your contacts with the cloud when your original iPhone either has been enabled or the passcode was entered.
If you have previously already had iCloud on that device and have contacts Turned on, you will be able to just enter the same Apple ID you used for iCLoud on your original phone and use it on your new one.
Your able to check what content your iCloud holds via www.icloud.com
If you are unable to get past the disabled screen, then unfortunately the device will have to be put into recovery mode and then restored via iTunes NOTE: This will delete all data.

I have updated my iphone 5 and lost all my music

please can someone help i have just updated my iphone 5, has i have been told how amazing this new update is so, after i have saved all my music and photos, i updated the phone, when i switched it on, i noticed that none of the songs or the photos was there and was not on the hard drive either only the key strokes, i have made sure that it was i that brought all the items and i dont know what to do about it now,, i have sat on my laptop for over five hours looking at differents way i could get the items back.

You're not making a lot of sense...
Did you update over the air or using iTunes on your computer?
Music is not part of the iPhone backup. The music should already be in the iTunes library on your computer. Music purchased from the iTunes store can be re-downloaded without charge using the Apple ID used to purchase it originally.
Photos in the camera roll should be part of the backup. How you recover them depends on how you were backing up and how you performed the update.

Since installing latest software on my iPhone, I've lost all my music. Help!

I've tried syncing several more times but always the same - no content in the music app/icon.
Previously, my music was on my iPod and, when I got my iPhone, iTunes downloaded all my music onto the iPhone and it resided in an "app" with iPod as the icon.
When I installed the latest version of the iTunes software, that iPod icon disappeared completely, a new one "Music" appeared but it's empty.

I just can't seem to find all the music I bought on itunes since I downloaded updates for my iphone today. I followed the suggestions in the support area, but it's still a mystery where it's gone. Any ideas please?

I take it you didn't transfer purchases BEFORE you attempted to update your phone? If that's the case and you live in the US you can look at your purchase history and re-download the purchased music using iTunes. If you're outside the US, you're out of luck.

9.0.3 has lost all my music

I've just updated to 9.0.3 this week, and since then, all my music that wasn't bought on iTunes has disappeared. I also can't add any music that I've bought since I upgraded to my iPod (4G Nano). Can anybody please help?

What security software do you have installed on the PC? (Firewall, antivirus, antispyware?)

Restored iphone 4 and lost all photos in photo stream

I had to have my iphone 4 reset and restored today, I had about 800 pictures in my photo stream album and when I did the restore I didn't get all of my photos. Some of the ones that were not in the Camera Roll are there but not the rest of them. Is there a way I can get them back??

Every time you sync your iPhone with iTunes, iTunes will create a backup of your iPhone. If you have enabled iCloud, every time, your iPhone is connected to Wifi and a power source, and the screen is locked, iCloud will automatically backup your photos. So try to restore the deleted photos from iTunes or iCloud backup first if the backups were created before the deletion.

Other than restoring from iTunes or iCloud backup, there are still at least 3 other solutions for you to recover deleted photos from iPhone:
Extracting from previous iTunes backup;
Retrieving directly from iPhone;
Copying from other backups.

My iPhone 5 has lost all connections to 3G and phone signal

For the past 2 weeks my iPhone 5 says searching in the top left corner of the screen. It will connect to wifi but not 3G or my EE phone network. There are currently no appointments available at the Genius Bar local to me. Has anyone experienced the same issue with their phone?

Um iTunes has 'lost' all my music - Any advice?

I was messing about with iTunes preferences the weekend and although the songs still exist within the iTunes application the folders containing the original MP3 files are empty, all that remains is the album artwork in some of them.
Its iTunes V9 on Windows Vista. I have Googled for the answer without any success. I cant restore from the iPod as its only a 4GB Nano. What the heck have I done????

Library has lost all my music

all 4,500 files have an exclamation mark along the left hand side saying file cannot be found.
my music was not on a computer but on a separate hard drive. but somehow itunes reset its preferences to look for all the files in the itunes folder on my computer. i have changed this back to the external drive but it is still not looking there.
short of going one by one and locating 4,500 files how can i get it to look in the right place?

You get exclamation marks or dead tracks because iTunes can’t find the file. This can happen for a number of reasons:
The song file or a folder in its path was renamed
The song file or the folder it is in has been moved
The song file has been deleted
The device containing the song files e.g. external drive is not accessible.
If you start iTunes when the drive is not accessible, iTunes will default back to the internal drive.
I assume from your comments that you have your iTunes folder containing the iTunes library files in the iTunes folder on your c: drive.
If this is the case, you should be able to get things working again by setting the location of the iTunes folder to the folder where your music is located on the external drive. This ought to work provided nothing else has changed. iTunes is extremely sensitive to changes in the path to music files.
