HT1414 says no sim card in iphone
Connected my Iphone to Itunes and it said there was a software update available, so decided to update. Now Itunes says there is no sim card in the iphone so it can't activate it. I changed my provider from Telus to Rogers a few months ago and am using the sim card from the Rogers phone inside the iphone. It was working fine like that for several weeks.
HELP!!!

Have you tried removing and reinstalling the SIM?

Had a simalar problem. But we weren't getting any service. AT&T said it was a defective SIM card and pretty much everyone that bought an AT&T iPhone 6 from the online store had a defective sim. had to buy a new sim from best buy because att were sold out because the problem was so wide spread.

I have restored the settings on my iphone and now after entering the pin on my sim card it wants me to connect it to iTunes but when i try it just says my sim card is not supported... what can i do now? It worked fine before...

sounds like your phone was hacked to work with your carrier. Now it is relocked to the rightful carrier. It cannot be reactivated without a SIM from that carrier.

Jailbroken phones can not be discussed here.
It's highly likely that it is now bricked. The jailbreak most likely did permanent damage. There are lots of reports of previously jailbroken/hacked phones that become unusable when attempting to apply a legitimate unlock. -

It has NEVER been possible to purchase an unlocked iPhone 3G in the US. Your phone was hacked. Updating it has re-locked it to AT&T. AT&T will NOT unlock iPhones for any reason.
The phone is now useless to you. There is no legitimate way to fix this. Buy a new phone. Preferably in India. -

Why does my iPhone 4 keep saying no sim card
my iphone 4 keeps randomly saying no sim card and i havent dropped it and its in a otter box but its getting really annoying. restarting the phone sometimes works, and taking the sim card out and putting it back in works but im tired of doing that all the time. how can i fix this?
You might want to get a new SIM from your carrier. If you frequently remove/replace it, the contacts may be worn.
