HT1414 Unable to update my address book. Can you help?

Before upgrading my iPhone 3GS to the iPhone 4S I backed up all my info including my contacts.
This worked perfectly and I was very pleased that everything including texts and my notes were transferred to my new device.
When I connect my iPhone 4S to iTunes and back it up (Contacts are synced) my address book does not get updated with my new contacts.
It has remained with the same contacts from back when I had the 3GS.
When I go to devices in iTunes it has 2 back ups. They are both the same name ie. "My Iphone" but one is dated October 2011 and the other today. Is that the reason? Am I meant to delete the older back up in order to allow the other software such as "Address Book" to update with my current information?
Any help will be much appreciated.

Chances are you have identified your problem. Try deleting the old back up and then try again

a message appears saying that there is a problem with the windows installer.
What's the precise text of the message please? (There's a few different ones I can think of that you might be getting.)

Open "Contacts" app, and in the top of the screen Menu Bar for the app click on "Card" and then select from the dropdown list "Show First Name Before Last".

in addition to John's hint you should have a look there to "correct answer" in https://forums.adobe.com/message/5441322#5441322 "Creative Cloud client will not download". There Sumit Singh talks about "I am suspecting the AAM URI handler is not working." and gives stepwise advices.

As long as you can't get a hold of the device, you can't do anything more than talking to your daughter about it.
Erasing the device could also be an option to keep her from using apps you don't want her to have on her device.

Thunderbird has nothing to do with administering your email password and is not going to send you anything. I am not even sure where you requested that something be sent to you unless it is for the password to this forum which has nothing to do with your email.
Your email provider would have a link to reset your password on their email help page.
I would go to your providers web mail page and see if your username and password work thee. if they do then you might have incorrect server settings causing the password error.

Faces and Address Book - can you sync key photos?

I really liked it how the new iPhoto uses address book to get the details of people when you identified them with faces. I thought it would be really useful if Address Book could sync the identified contacts with the 'key photos' used in iPhoto, but annoyingly this does not seem to be possible, unless you manually drag and drop each image you want into each individual card.
Does anyone know if there an easy way of doing this - or - have Apple uncharacteristically overlooked an opportunity for cross-application information sharing?

Since this is version one of faces I would expect to see additional functionality in future versions - the address book feed to faces was added in update 2 I believe it was

Email address problems - can you help?

I have just bought my first Mac and attempted to transfer some of my previoius emails. They have arrived in a format that I cannot yet use - not my current worry. At the same time I appear to have imported every email address that I have ever used (and possible some that I never have). I want to delete these, but can find no way of accessing where these are stored.
I've tried to delete them one by one by putting them into the addressee box and deleting and that doesn't work and I've looked in Window/Previous Recipients and they do not appear there.
Any suggestions?

Start the Address Book app. Email addresses either come from there or the previous recipients.

Then I click 'Oke'....to tell the system I want to start the program. Then I get another pop-up: 'securitywarning......'
Then I click on ' continue' and I have to choose a program to open this program. I can choose from iexplore.exe or firefox.exe.
If I choose for firefox.exe.....nothing happens.
Quit strange. I am quit well with computers, but this is really strange to me.

I finally figured out what was wrong. Since I had installed Google Chrome recently it already had the Adobe Flash Player imbedded in it.
When I uninstalled the flash player in Control Panel option the problem went away.

Well im not quite sure what happened, my new GPU got delivered and i thought you what i'll install it to the board and see what happens, im sure it won't work but hey it's worth a try......
Well everything so far is working fine, GPU installed, drivers installed and i have tried a few games and they look great.
Could it be that the bios is flashed to 4.3 but its not showing on the screen?

On the 3.6 version brower at bottom of the brower you used to have a security lock it was a picture of a lock on this version 4.0.1 its not there ather browers like chrome its in the address bar can you help

The Statusbar is gone and the "lock" with it. Security information about a web page is shown by the Site Identity Button.<br />
