Make sure your headphones are plugged in all the way, meaning you cannot see any of the silver still showing from the headphone's plug.

Open itunes, connect ipod, select what you want, sync.
No need to restore. Just sync. It will erase the current content and replace with the content of the new computer.

All the apps that I have downloaded are "waiting" and whenever I try to sync apps on my computer with my phone, the apps section is greyed out and won't allow me to do anything. I have tried restoring to factory settings but it didn't work.

I have a feeling it may have something to with the restrictions settings on my phone restrictions are on) but it won't allow me to change the restrictions without putting in a passcode. I don't remember ever having a passcode and after several attempts have not been able to get the right code.
Also. on my phone, in settings, personal hotspot, iCloud and Twitter are greyed out. And, the App Store icon is missing from my screen as well.

yep, unfortunately can't reset without the passcode either.
With regards to doing a restore, do you mean:
open itunes on my computer
click on my device on the left
go to the device summary
click restore
it then asks if i want to back up before i restore (to which i say no)
then it asks me if i'm sure I want to restore to factory settings and that all of me media and data will be erased and replaced with the newest version ( to which I say yes)
then it takes about 90 mins to do this but when I look at my phone, everything is exactly the same.
Am I missing something? Obviously I'm technologically challenged, but I HAVE to get to the bottom of this!

Restoring to factory settings, does just that... your iPhone will be like it was when new and not activated, i.e. everything will be wiped off the phone.

HT201210 Cant seem to restore to factory settings

I have been trying to restore my I phone 4 to factory settings. I dont have Facetime or I tunes app available. I have tried to go to settings>General>Reset , but then it asks for a restrictions passwod and I have no idea what this is. So then to reset the password you have to restore to Factory Settings. I have tried this many times, which says 8 hours, so i leave it plugged into computer overnight. When i test the phone in the morning, it should start the set up screen all over agin, but it never does, so i wonder if something is wrong with my I tunes, wifi, or phone all together. HELP!!

The main problem with malware is that it uses the installation to proliferate by contacting hostile servers to download more of the same rogue code.
Firefox doesn't have the option to "Run" a file. You can only "Save File" or "Cancel". If you downloaded it with IE8, then yes, you can run it, but that's not what I wanted you to do.
What you should do now is to disable System Restore. You can open System Properties by hitting the Windows logo key and Pause/Break key together. Then click the "System Restore" tab. Then checkmark the box which says "''Turn off System Restore on all drives''". Reboot to clear its contents. System Restore unfortunately makes a backup of all executables which includes viruses so that when you reboot without deleting them first, System Restore reinstates them again.
After you complete that step, run Avast and Malwarebytes again to make sure the system is clean.
Then go to the Windows Update site (link on your start menu) and install the missing patches which enabled your machine to become infected in the first place.
Once the system is clean, repeat step one to download Firefox again, but please do not run the file. If you don't see the option to "Save File", cancel the download, but it should be there. Its good question and its a very valid one , one has to have doubt
why two , why not one ..
Here the answer goes ..
First of all you need to understand that its a distributed computing technique ie I mean lot of people will be accessing the bean at the same time , right ? OK , you cann't access the bean directly.
and lastly the stateless and entity beans do instance pooling.
The very purpose of having two interfaces is
1) To differnentiate the bussiness logic and life cycle methods .
2) The home interface inititates life cycle methods like creation , destruction etc .
3) There are lot of beans in the container , and through home you are
creating the instance or accessing one of them .
4) Once you have home object using it we get the remote object ie the instance of the bean that you want to access if stateless any bean can be called , if statefull depending upon the parameter in create method that respective bean is created and invoked .
In ejb 1.0 and 1.1 even though the bean and the client are in same jvm its assumed that they are remote and in 2.0 Ver we have local this is to avoid network traffic .

read EBRoman book first and second chapters thoroughly and then proceed
a head.

Apple, as I said, does not repair your iPhone. All hardware service issues are handled by replacing the unit. So they can't handle the home-button issue without also addressing the issue of the cracked screen, for which they'll almost certainly charge you. But you can make an appointment at an Apple Store or call Apple tech support and plead your case.

Are you doing a Software Update or downloading directly from Apple?
If Software Update, instead download the combo 10.6.8 update from here. Use Disk Utility (on your hard drive in application/utilities) to repair permissions, then apply the combo update, and when done, repair permissions again. You'll be at 10.6.8 at that point.
