If you are trying to use debit cards then I don't think that they are still accepted as a valid payment method - they are not listed on this page and there have been a number of posts recently about them being declined. Do you have a credit card that you could use instead ? Credit cards are generally considered safer than debit cards.
If you only have debit cards then you can try contacting iTunes support and see if they can help, but I don't think that you will be able to use them : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page

Make sure you are using the correct serial number. Find your serial number quickly
If you did not deactivate the original installation then it is possible your two allowed activations have been used and you need to reset your activation count. To do that you need to contact Adobe Support thru chat and ask them to reset your activations. If you ask for more than that they will tell you they cannot offer you any support.

Why does it say "doesn't accept file transfers"?

when I try to send a file over ichat I keep getting the message that "ichat doesn't accept file transfers" What am I doing wrong?

It can depend on which Jabber server you are using and what has been enabled on that particular Server.
That's one possible.
Another is that the Applications at the other end is not set up to accept File Transfers, such as someone logged in to AIM Express in a web browser will have limited abilities.
Finally, AIM file transfers are on a different port and or internet protocol and this port (and or the Protocol) may not be allowed though your Mac settings in.
Lets start with the last.
AIM Logins in version up to and including version 5 are on port 5190 by default using the TCP Protocol.
We (The regular posters) have been suggesting using port 443 for this for a long time. Now iChat 6 and Messages in Mountain Lion actually use port 443.
File Transfers on on Port 5190 but use the UDP Protocol.
It always uses this and this cannot be changed.
In the Mac Firewall in some versions of the OS UDP traffic can be blocked.
Check the Advanced Button settings.
Of course the port has to be opened in the modem (if it routes) or your router.
In some cases such as the Port Forwarding method you can have models that specify Protocol as well as ports. Opneing it for 5190 and TCP can block it being opened for 5190 and UDP.
If you are using UPnP (Or Apple's Port Mapping Protocol) you should not have problems.
With the second option above you can pull down the Video Menu and open Connection Doctor.
This will tell you your Capabilities.
In a Buddy List highlight a Buddy.
Use the CMD and i keys together (Get Info)
The Capabilities tab in here will tell you whether the Buddy has the abilities to File Transfer.
The first option I suggested can only really be checked using a Third Party Jabber app such as Psi
Basically after you set up an Account in Psi you can access an option called Service Discovery that iChat (and Messages in Mountain Lion) does not do.
This will tell you if the server is set up for File Transfers or Group chats plus things called Transports.
With some servers you will need to (sub) register for the Services you also want to be active.
Using this method to view Google's GoogleTalk server tells you nothing about the Services they have active.
As you may have worked out you may need to check out the server's ability if you are using a Jabber servers even if the symptom looks more like reason two.

When you installed the Lightroom 5 on your MacBook, did it ask for both serial numbers. Since you purchased Lightroom 5 as an upgrade, you need both the serial number from your original purchase as well as the new serial number for Lightroom 5. If you have both of those numbers and they are still not being accepted then you will have to contact Adobe customer support for a solution.

Ovi maps doesn't accept my Nokia account user name...

It was necessary to do an *#7370# reset on my phone, every things is fine now, except the point that I can't log on to Ovi from the maps application to get my maps favourites back to the phone.
Maps doesn't accepts my user name anymore. I got an error massage "no special characters allowed", but I have dots in my user name.
I don’t have any problems with logging on to other Ovi services either they are PC based nor from my mobile.
Creating a new account doesn't bring me back my maps favourites, therefore it's no solution for my problem.
I tried to install an older maps version, but have sis files for version 3.03 and 3.04 only and both versions doesn’t allow my to log in to Ovi.
Does anybody has an idea what to do?

Why Does FacesContext.addMessage Accept a String?

Hello,
For the life of me I can't figure this one out; please let me know if my thinking is incorrect here.
FacesContext.addMessage accepts two arguments, a String and a FacesMessage instance. The FacesMessage instance makes sense; it encapsulates all information regarding a message to the user. Why it doesn't support I18N under the covers, I don't know. This is, however, very easy to fix.
What I don't understand is the String instance argument. What is it used for? Sure, if I happen to bind a UIComponent, which also happens to have an h:message attached to it, to a managed bean I can programmatically add messages to the UIComponent. So, why is there no UIComponent.addMessage? Why the call to UIComponent.getClientId?
Furthermore, from a dumb API user (that's me) perspective, FacesContext.addMessage( String, FacesMessage) together with <h:messages id='...'/> seems to imply that FacesContext.addMessage( "selectiveMessage", ...) will only display that message for <h:messages id='selectiveMessage'/>, and no other h:messages tags. Unfortunately, even using globalOnly there is no way to have two mutually exclusive sets of messages that are not attached to a UIComponent.
This would not even be an issue except for the rendering order of JSP interfering with the allegedly stateful nature of the JSF components. For example, I have a set of status messages to the user, displayed above a dataTable. If the dataTable is empty, I want to display a nice "Listing is empty" status message to user instead of an empty table. However, since the messages are on top of the dataTable in the JSP page, the message does not show up until after refresh. The quick solution was to put another set of messages specifically for the empty table message under the table where everybody (all the components at least) already knows the state of dataTable. Unfortunately, can't have two mutually exclusive sets of messages.
So, we now have a very complex solution of custom behavior hard-wired into an h:messages subclass to solve a very simple problem of not displaying an empty table.
The good news is, aside from a few very annoying but certainly not show-stopping issues like this JSF is proving to be as good as its hype.

Actually, this is incorrect. You must have a direct reference to the component instance to access the clientId. Filling in a String value that matches the for="..." attribute in h:message does not work. Furthermore, since UIComponent.getClientId requires a FacesContext instance argument, you end up with something like this:

V/s this:

I do agree that JSF needs some input to get better. Hence this post.

It must be valid. It must have sufficient credit available for Apple to process an authorization to verify the card. It must be issued by a bank in the country of the store you are attempting to use with a billing address in that country.

IPhone5 doesn't accept USB MIDI

I am at ios7 now, I bought the CamKit for Lightning and it still does not even accept the CamKit and says "not supported".
I tried several USB MIDI Keyboards which as ESSENTIAL to me but the iPhone 5 seems to be the only one NOT working with USB MIDI via CamKit.
I am really upset with apple about this. STILL!!
no it is -not a usb hub/powering issue, it's the same on any 25key keyboard that is core midi compliant, too. ;(
so no midi via lightning.. still.
the ipad2 works fine with it, it's 30 pins..

so I need to be happy, then?

I run an large online community and magazine (music and synths), so I feel like remembering this to apple since it is not a technical problem. do you know why it doesn't work?
