  • HT1695 My wi-fi option is greyed out and I am unable to turn it on and connect to wifi. How can I fix this?

A few days ago my iphone decided to stop connecting to wi-fi. I tried to connect to different wi-fi connections but my phone does not pick up any. Now my "turn wi-fi on" option is greyed out and I am unable to turn it on. I have tried reseting the network connections as well as reseting the iphone back to original settings. My network provider couldnt help. I dont know what else to do??

I had same problem. I removed the back cover, and warmed wi-fi module by hairdryer of my wife). five days wi-fi works great. I do not know what will happen next.
during operation iphone must be turned off. time of heating is near five minutes. wifi module is located upper the battery, on the upper right corner of device.

  • Unable to share--options are greyed-out.

I have created a project, but when I chose "Share," all of the options are greyed out.
I have the project active in the timeline, but it still isn't allowing any "Share" option.
Other projects in the browser allow me to share with all of the choices seemingly available.
It seems like it should be a simple remedy, but once again, I am outwitted by technology.
    Any suggestions will be appreciated.
    Thanks in advance,
    Gary

    Yes, Tom, Thanks.
There was something "hinky" when the camcorder was uploading the files, (like a "flickering" with the connection), but the files seemingly appeared in the project.
I noticed that there is a little yellow triangle with an exclamation point next to the "clap-board" icon next to the project's name, but I'm unable to identify what the problem is.
I highlighted the entire timeline, and hit "Render All," but it didn't change anything.
I may just start over again fresh, but if you have any other suggestions, let me know.
    Thank you,
    Gary

Now I wanted to erase all content and setting from my old 4s and it will not connect to the internet, because the cellular data is no longer connected, since I bought a new iPhone 5c. I just did it. To enter DFU mode, I had to use "method 3" on this post
    http://thebigboss.org/guides-iphone-ipod-ipad/dfu-mode
Too bad my 4S is 2 years old. Wifi is dead. I had to upgrade to 5S, but 5S is soooooo much faster than 4S so it's kind of good outcome. Without the 4S breaking down, a stingy person like me would have never upgraded the phone.

Wifi option is greyed out in my phone. Please help me to fix this

Start by working through http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1559 and if that doesn't resolve it, some have found it helps to go to Settings and set Airplane Mode ON and Do Not Disturb ON.  Power down and wait 5-10 minutes and power up.  Got to Settings and set Airplane Mode OFF and Do Not Disturb OFF

  • Enrolled Macs' "Sleep" option is greyed out

    Hello,
As soon as a Mac is enrolled into our OS X Server it becomes unable to "Sleep." The Sleep option under the Apple menu is greyed out and even closing the lid will not put the Mac to sleep. This has been a big issue because it is killing our machines' battery life.
There are no management settings enabled for any of the Macs, under Profile Manager and they are not in any device groups. There are also no management settings enable for the users of the machines nor are the users in any groups. As soon as they are enrolled, the Sleep option is greyed out and nothing will allow them to sleep.
This was happening with the Server version right before Version 4. We updated hoping Version 4 would resolve this issue but it did not. All help is greatly appreciated!
    OS X Server Version 4 (14S333)
Mac Mini Server purchased in mid 2014
    2.6ghz Quad Core i7 Processor
    16gb of RAM

It appears Apple needs to fix a problem with the "Login Window" Payload in Profile Manager.
To enable sleep on a mac until the settings are pushed out again use terminal and enter the following:
    sudo pmset -a disablesleep 0
You will also need to do this if you remove the "Login Window" Payload from the settings you push out, since the mac won't revert to the working settings.
I notified Apple about this thread.
PS I was able to manually change the config profile (downloaded from Profile Manager) with text editor to get it working the way I wanted, but I only have one client computer. If you do this, there were 2 entries. I found them by searching the config for "sleep". Change the entries from true to false. You can then install the modified settings profile.

  • BlackBerry Link 'Restore' option is greyed out

I ran the latest BlackBerry 10 OS Update on my wife's BlackBerry Q10 last night. It seemed to work properly. However when my wife went to use her phone this morning it was at the Setup screen and all of her information has been lost.
Needless to say she is quite upset with me.
She tried to do a 'Restore' from BlackBerry Link after going through the setup on her Q10 but the "Restore' option is greyed out.
    Please help!
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

When you see your Q10 connected in the tab at the bottom of the screen, click on it.
Then click on the Settings gear icon at the top right of the Link app screen.
Then, in the far left panel, you should see the Backup & Restore options, do you?

  • Since updating to Yosemite and CS6 2 of my print options are greyed out on my epson R2880 print pane?

My colour and colour settings options are 'greyed out' on my  Epson printer pane since updating to Yosemite and CS6,this happened before after running a software update on the printer driver! The driver version at that time was 6.62 and now it has updated to version 9.00....could this be the problem??

That's strange ... did you try restarting before printer install? You also may need to delete the printer itself (System Preferences > Printers & Scanners) and add it again , in order to access the proper drivers (?)
Can you show screen shot(s) of your incomplete print dialog?

Head to Settings -> General -> Restrictions on your iPod Touch and make sure that restrictions for app installations are turned off.
