HT1420 a prompt appeared on my screen stating I need to authorize my mac computer(however my computer is already authorized) for my apps to appear on my iphone
I synced my iphone today... the result was a request to restore...in the process all my apps were removed...through reseach info to reapply my apps requires me to authorize my mac book pro computer, however, it is already authorized...can you help me figure this out
Connect the iPhone, open iTunes, reauthorize your computer. This should straighten out things.

I just downloaded an album but one song won't play instead a message that "This computer is not authorized" to play the song. The prompt has a log in and when I log in it tells me the computer is already authorized. What gives? Specifically the album is Flying Lotus - Until the Quiet Comes and the song is DMT Song (feat. Thundercat). I purchased the entire album and it even played fine the first listen through.

My macbook pro is already authorized, but a purchased song from iTunes keeps stating that my computer is not authorized to play it. I enter my apple ID and password, upon which a window confirms that my computer is already authorized. Yet the song still won't play and continues to state that my computer is not authorized.
If you live in a country in which you are allowed to re-download purchased music delete the track from the library and the HDD and re-download it.

I purchased a whole CD from iTunes and can play all but 3 songs. I keep getting prompted to authorize my account to play these 3 songs. But when I enter my apple ID and password, I get a message that says my computer is already authorized. It keeps cycling around and won't let me play the 3 songs. Anyone else ever have this problem or find an answer?

If the problem persists, or that facility is not yet available in your region, contact the iTunes Store support staff through the "Report a problem" links in your account history, or via Contact Support.
You may also find it helpful while downloading to select Downloads in the left-hand column and make sure Allow Simultaneous Downloads is unticked.

iTunes keeps prompting me to authorize my computer then tells me it's already authorized and I'm stuck in a loop. The troubleshooting options haven't worked. Any suggestions or does anybody have a phone number for iTunes so I can talk to a human being about this?

my computer is a new computer. on other occasions i been able to sync my music without a problem from Iphone to computer. today attempted to do the same and i was unable to do so. It gives me a message that my music is in cloud which i don't understand what that is and than that i need to authorize my computer which I don't know how to do or where to go for it!

Good morning
Having had to buy a new ipod ( something wrong with the drive) I attempted to download all my purchases onto the new ipod.
Then I get this error message saying I need to authorise the computer to retrieve some 100 tracks ....the computer has already been authorised and I am now finding half the albums missing. All tracks were previously downloaded onto old ipod and this computer.
Checked icloud and all tracks downloaded....bit annoyed to be honest...Also-I tried to use my backup hard drive, but I wasn't able to drag/transfer/send/move any of my muic files onto my iTouch when the iTouch was connected to my computer. I can't figure out why it won't let me do that.
The only thing I can see when I open my iTouch on my computer is my file with photos. I can't see videos, music, or anything else. What's going on? -
I am having issues opening up files. So i installed the quicktime download for $29.99. I go into the file and open it, but all I get is a black screen with sound only. Do I have to download something else so I can open it with a picture? thanks-r
Note that a QuickTime Pro key does not add any additional formats to those included in the free versions of QuickTime Player already available on your system. All a Pro key gives you is editing and export capabilities.

Replaced my hard drive now Itunes tells me I have more computers that authorized.
I cannot deauthorize this computer as it is the one I use all the time and two of the others are long gone.
What a PITA
ThanksBoot up from your Snow Leopard Install DVD while holding down the "c" key.
Select the language you wish to use, and then choose "Disk Utility" from the menu bar.
Your HD should appear in a panel on the left hand side of the window which opens. Select it and then click on the "repair disk" button in the right hand section of the window.
If Disk First aid is unable to complete the repair you will need to use a stronger 3rd party utility like DiskWarrior or TechTool Pro.
Once this process has been completed restart your computer.

When I go to move a song from my library I got the message "this computer is not authorized"... if I go to the store pop down and authorize the compter is says "this computer is already authorized".... what's going on?
If a small number of your iTunes purchases are affected, delete and redownload them if doing so is free in your country. If you get that message for every item, click here and follow the instructions.

When I try to play an itunes purchased movie it says I have to authorize this computer. When I put in my log in information it says this computer is already authorized and will still not play the move. I have tried to deauthorize and reauthorize this computer, delete and reinstall itunes and Quicktime and nothing works; the purchased movies still will not play
I'm having the same problem on my new iMac. First it tells me it's not authorized to play the songs, then when I enter my password, it tells me it's already authorized, but still won't play them. I tried deleting a song and going to the store to redownload it and got charged for it! I've got hundreds of songs, so that's not going to be an option.
In addition, I have quite a few songs from a very old Apple ID, one I forgot I even had, I have no idea what the password was and no way to have the system send me a new password because I no longer have access to that email account.
The Mac I just "retired" could play all the songs in my catalog just fine. This new one won't play the majority of them.
