HT1420 How do I authorize music I purchased a few years ago from an account that no longer exists? The music shows up in my library, but it won't play. I can no longer access that email account because it was disabled...anyone can help?
I purchased a bunch of music years ago with an old email account and password and then switched (before I understood about the apple account thing) and now the music will show up on my new computer but I can't authorize it to play because the old account is disabled and I can't remember my password!!!!!!
HELP!!!
Anyone else find a solution to this?
Am I the only idiot who has done this?

Hey there~ I had a similar experience, when the email I used to set up the account was hacked and subsequently shut down by Hotmail. If you contacted Support to change the name, but not the email address, you will need to do so again.
Also worth noting~ if, at any time, you synced your device to your work computer, you'll need to contact Support to deauthorize it and enable your current one.

Depending upon what country that you are in (music can't be re-downloaded in all countries) then try deleting the track from the Music app on your iPad and redownload it via the Purchased tab in the iTunes store app (or via the Purchased link under Quicklinks on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page on your computer's iTunes).
If you aren't in a country where you can re-download music or if the re-downloaded version also doesn't works then try the 'report a problem' page to contact iTunes Support : http://reportaproblem.apple.com

I have downloaded a film into my iTunes library which appears but it won't play. Essentially, when I click to start the film I just get a black movie screen with the control console, but no film. What can I do as I don't want to delete it and download it again at additional cost?

Why can't I access my email account after restoring Firefox to factory issue?
I'd been experiencing slowness and crashing with Firefox.
When help recommended restoring the browser to factory issue,
I decided to do so.
I can now no longer access my verizon yahoo! email account.
No prior issues.
I'm now asked to provide my Yahoo! ID and password, which I
did; however, the system will not accept it.

It is possible that the <i>cookies.sqlite</i> file that stores the cookies is corrupted if clearing cookies doesn't work.
Rename (or delete) <b>cookies.sqlite</b> (cookies.sqlite.old) and delete other present cookies files like <b>cookies.sqlite-journal</b> in the Firefox profile folder in case the file cookies.sqlite got corrupted.

My app updates in iPad won't install, when I hit update, it says my account is not valid in the Canadian store, and I must switch to the US store before purchasing. So, I sign out of Canadian store, and try to sign into US store, and that won't work either.
It says my Apple ID is not valid in the US store, but it must be, because that's where I made my purchases of all those apps in the first place.
Is it possible I am missing something here? Is this my fault? Can anybody offer a suggestion as to why I cannot sign into USA store?

We do have a place in the UK which we could use as an address, but for various reasons it gets a bit complex even though we still have a UK bank account. We moved to France when there were no iDevices and apps around, just bought the occasional music, so it wasn't a problem. Funny thing is I can't even download the free UK bank app because it's not available in the French store .
I'll live with the problem for now as we plan to move back to the UK in a year or so - we miss the weather . -
Trying to access an old email account through mobileme.com
everytime I try to check my mobileme email a message box pops-up:
User name or password is incorrect.
What can I do? I currently have 2 email addresses hooked up to me.comMobileMe is closed (as was announced over a year ago). You need to migrate your account to iCloud while you still can - go to http://me.com and follow the link to migrate. You should do this as soon as possible.
Then sign in in System Preferences>iCloud (Lion required) and enable Mail in the checklist there. -

I won Lightroom 1.0 as a door prize a few years ago at an Adobe clinic in Fremont. I have since misplaced the original disk and cannot get the program to open. It wants a serial number and I don't have one. How can I get the serial number so I can use the software?
Thanks for replying, Jim. I wasn't planning to use it for raw images. I shoot film, black and white, and have many negatives I want to print. I am unfamiliar with the upgrades in Lightroom. I wasn't unhappy with the version I have. It was useful for my purposes.
Because it was a few years ago, I don't remember if I registered the product. I was able to login to my account. But could not find a path to communicate with Adobe. I will keep trying.

Contact Apple through iTunes Store Support, and explain that you have forgotten your 3 security questions, that you can reset your password, but doing so doesn't reset your security questions.
Remember, support will receive hundreds, if not thousands of requests per day, some from people trying it on, others with little explanation and others that are written extremely poorly. Take the time to explain your situation properly, be precise and concise, brief but comprehensive. -
How can I sync my various email accounts into an iCloud account. Example. I have an embarqmail.account. How can I get it to sync with iPhone, iPad, iMac so that I don't have to read or review eMails on all 3 devices. Thanks
You need OSX 10.7.2 or higher in order to access icloud. The mobile me account is now defunct (it closed down more than a year ago).

I have old email address's I used for iTune music purchases and cannot change password on several old accounts. Now some of the music I purchased I can not download and authorize it on my device. What can I do password security does not match my birthdate on two of the accounts. Apple can not send me email with a password authorization on several current accounts that I have with them. How can I contact Apple with this annoying problem I can not fix.
settings - app/iTunes store - sign out and sign back in with your new id.
Note - if your older apps needs an update it will use your old apple id and password, as Apps are tied to the apple id that was used to purchase it.

I have my old iphone which is a 3g and I am trying to transfer all my music to my new iphone which is a 4s. All my music was saved on my computer but of course I had to put it in the shop and no longer have the music:( It is not showing up in my itunes account where it used to be. It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer for this very occasion.
Use your backup copy to put everything on the computer, then sync.
If for some reason you have failed to maintain a backup, not good, then you can transfer itunes purchases from your iphone to your computer - File>Devices>Transfer Purchases -
I want to be able to access another email account that is set up as a POP account on TB, but I do not want to modify how the other email account is set up. My co-worker and I often need to access each others emails. Is it simply a matter of adding the email account on my computer as a POP, without moving his emails? Or would this require changing his account to IMAP? When i set up his TB account, I made it a POP so there are no messages on the server at the moment. What I don't want is for his emails to move from his computer to mine.
(He's new to TB and that would drive him crazy - I already did that when I switched him from Outlook)

Yes. And make sure to check the option to leave messages on the server prior to accessing the account.
Having said that, I think it is a very bad idea to share an account that way.
Note that this will give you permanent access to your co-worker's account.
In addition you're not only storing your own messages on your computer, but also all your co-worker's messages.
The same is true for him if he does the same.
