hi i am in tehran rigth now really in one accident (robbery) i lost my five apple computers ,i cant download 4500 music and 749 ipad app and 720 iphone app please help me thanks alot
You shoud be able to log into your account on a computer's iTunes (Store > View My Account) and 'deauthorise all' (which you can do once every 12 months) and you can then authorise/reauthorise the computers that you still have and need : authorising and deauthorising.

I want to sync my iphone to my pc, but its telling me that i can't because this pc is not authorized and i'm only able to authorize 5 pc's but i only have 3 and one i them (the one i want to use) is not authorized, so how do i deauthorize any old pc's that i had in the pastYou can deauthorize all computers linked to your account once a year from the Store Account window. Then you would just authorize the new computer again.

LOST ALL DATA ON MY COMPUTER AFTER UPGRADE TO 7.0

I just wiped out my hard drive during my upgrade to itunes 7.0... I could be mistaken, not quite sure, but here's what I did just prior to wiping out all of my .mp3 files and My Documents for the main user profile etc. etc. (photos, ramblings in text files and such)
I downloaded the software for the upgrade, then somewhere in there I saw a window for "deleting files" thinking this was just the install .exe and other unnecessary things... then when the "upgrade" was over I had nothing on my computer...
I am not trying to be alarmist nor am I trying to denigrate apple's fine (up to this point) product, but something is seriously wrong - is it possible someone put a trojan horse program into the upgrade ?? Apple should be aware.
dell dimension 3000 Windows XPTry searching your Harddrive for them, they should be there. If not, use your back-ups you have made of your library to put back on your PC.

Thanks for replying. No, it didn't occur after an update. Although I was able to recover some of the purchesed songs trough icloud, many of them are missing. I have paid for them and don't want to do ir again.

I lost all Data on old computer, I accidentally formatted hard drive. I was right in the middle of syncing my iPhone with computer, but computer was full so I had to delete some programs. Well I purchased new computer and tried to sync but nothing happened. I know I need to choose the right menu command but I'm a fraid to loose all Data on my phone. Please Help
Let me see if I've gotten this right! You want to remove an account from BOTH machines? Do this for your new machine first, then for the other.
Click the Apple logo on the top left of the screen, System Preferences, Users and Groups (under Systems), unlock the lock in the window if its locked (you need to know the password), select the user that you wish to remove, and click the - sign next to the + sign for Login options. A window will pop up with some options. Select Delete this user and securely, and click 'Delete user'.
After this, do an update from the App Store.
Thats all there is to it.
For the other machine repeat the process except for one thing. Before you delete the user in this case YOU, you will have to give Administrator priviledges to your son bu checking the box 'Allow user to administer this computer'.
Do NOT do anything from Finder ... if you dont know how to fix the consequences of the problems caused.
There is no need to unauthorize your iTunes account on your new machine. Do it on the old machine though. -

When moving from moblie me to icloud, I lost all my contacts on computer as well as iphone. HELP!!!!!
Me, too. What fun? So ... um on what cloud in the sky do all my lost Contacts now reside? Any way I can get them to float back down to me? Ironically, I don't even care about using iCloud - but I thought it would be a good way to keep a back up of my Contacts out there. Ha! Little did I know that, instead, it was a way for me to suddenly find the NEED for a backup, now that all it appears to have done is delete all Contacts from my iPhone.
If anyone hears of a fix ... the remedy would be greatly appreciated! -
I have a new mac pro 'can', and was checking settings. I gave a user who I didn't recognize 'no access', and lost all access to my computer immediately. Tried to change access back, but I was totally locked out (even as the admin). It won't even reboot! I thought it might have been back when I gave Adobe access (when they had their Cloud fiasco and my machine kept crashing with Premiere). Can anyone suggest anything?

How do I change the authorized computer to sync to my iPad? I lost all of my data when my PC crashed and am trying to reinstall my iTunes libraries in the same PC that has been reformatted to its original factory state.
If you followed the instructions in the link that Diavonex referred you to, that should have transferred all of the iPad content into your iTunes library. I have no idea what to mean by the iPad sees another PC. Where? How do you know that? How are your determining that the iPad sees another PC? iTunes does the "seeing" - not the iPad.
Then you say "if I share" - do you mean if you use Home Sharing? The iPad and computer do not have to be connected in order for Home Sharing to work. The devices must be on the same WiFi network. You cannot transfer music from the computer to the iPad using Home Sharing.

Can you try to use another computer?
If this does not work, visit an Apple Store or an Authorized Apple Service Provider next to your place, and show them the phone, maybe they can restore it before you'll have to get it serviced.
Did you try to put it in recovery mode?

ok so we bought an ipod touch for my daughter and when she connected it to the computer after she downloaded itunes, she was asked if it was her ipod or a new one, so she clicked on her ipod and lost all her recent pics plus is unable to locate the app store on her safari on her ipod touch. any suggestions as to what went wrong or what should be done ? should we restore or what?
much appreciated if there is anyone else who had this happen to them.- The iPod got erased since it sounds iTunes identified that the iPod has been synced with another computer and she said yes to making this computer her syncing computer. It could also she restored the iPod from the backup of another iPod, iPhone or iPad that was in iTunes. If in iTunes you go to Preferences>Devices is there a backup listed for her iPod with a date/time when she first connected the iPod to the computer. If so then restore the iPod from that backup.

can anyone help with retrieving My Library in Itunes and Itunes store - having updated Itunes and Icloud on 24 September 13, my computer failed and I lost all my files which were eventually backed up to an Emergency Backup. my computer is now working again and I have down loaded Itunes and transferred all the files from my Emergency Backup. Non of the music went back into Itunes, so I had to find these files and manually moved them to Itunes. The music is now in Itunes, but I no longer have the folder named My Library, which I think is the reason my Ipad, ipod no longer sync any additional music I have added to Itunes. Does anyone know how to rectify this please.
Many thanks. CruseyiTunes expects files and folders to be in very specific locations. When you start iTunes it looks for a file called library.itl which is in the iTunes folder. It then uses all the references in that file which tell it where all your media files are located to build up the view you normally see. Probably you moved the library file so iTunes cannot find it and it will make a default one which is empty. When you plug in your iPod it isn't recognizing the library since it is not the same one to which you synced last.
Simply put, you need to undo all your file moves. Not as eaily done as stated but since I cannot quite see from here exactly what you spent an hour doing last night it will be up to you. Did you make a backup before doing all this?

I have recently updated my computer since my old one broke and therefore had to download a new iTunes. When I came to add my iPod to this new iTunes, I was given no option to transfer the contents of my iPod library to this new iTunes and was forced to try 'sync'; when my old computer was repaired once we lost all of our data so I had to download a new iTunes then,all of my iPod downloads were transferred and I could easily reburn my CDs so I didn't think the wiping of my iPod would be a problem. When I clicked 'sync' it warned me that it would replace the contents of my iPod with the new iTunes library, as I said I didn't think this would be a problembut then it asked if it should transfer my recent iTunes downloads so I said 'yes'. The sync was completed but now I only have 4 downloaded songs and 5 albums which I burned to my new iTunes! I have lost all the music I bought, all the videos I bought and all the audiobooks I bought! (Luckily I still have my apps.) I tried to restore backup but realised that only covers calendars, contacts E.T.C and I checked my iTunes account and that shows all my downloads but I can't see a way to restore them or anything like that!
Please help! I am in despair as you can imagine how much moneys worth I have lost and am losing faith in AppleCorrect. When you update via iTunes all synced media that is not in your iTunes library will be lost.

Then go to the iTunes Store and select "Purchased" from the Quick Links side bar on the right. Go through all the tabs to download again for free
