No Content will be affected...
If you no longer have, or access to, the computer(s) you want to deauthorise,
Log in to iTunes,  go to "view your account info" on the itunes store,  deauthorise all five, (Please Note: this can only be done Once every 12 months)  and then re-authorize your current Computer(s) one at a time.

  • Is there a way to turn on icloud without being near the device

My ipod was recently stolen. I don't have icloud turned on so I have no way to trace it. Is there a way I can trace it without turning it on or is there a way to turn icloud on from a computer?

You would have needed to enable 'Find My iPod' on your iPod Touch before it was lost in order to be able to locate it. Failing that, you cannot do so. (It would also have to be on, not wiped, and able to connect to a network - any competent thief will have wiped it.)

  • I have just lost my Ipod touch gen 5 i've tried using the findmyiphone app but it seems like it need to have a wifi signal but they need to get into my ipod first to connect to internet is there any way i can track it without connecting to the internet??

is there a way i could find it if it connected to their computer??

Change your iTunes (Apple ID) password along with any other password that was stored in the iPod.  If any passwords are associated with credit cards, contact the CC company and get your card replaced (with a new number).  If any passwords are associated with a bank or any other savings institution, contact them also and discuss approprate action with them.
The "Find my..." function is pretty much useless if the device is in the hands of a thief.  All that is necessary is for the thief to connect to any computer with iTunes and "Restore as new."
The only real protection you have is with the personal information on the device rather than the physical device itself.  This requires action before the device is lost/stolen.  If the device has significant personal information, it should have a strong 8-digit (or longer) password AND be configured for automatic wipe in the event of ten consecutive incorrect password entries.

    Welcome to Apple Communities
You can't disable FaceTime remotely. If you activated Find my iPhone in the device, go to iCloud and Find my iPhone. You can block or erase your iPod if it's connected to Wi-Fi, but you won't be able to track it

    2. I havn't connect the power code to my iPad yet, the backup copy in the iClout was before the accident as I checked in iPad. Is there any way that I could open my notes in iCloud backup so that I can copy the missing page and move back to my iPad and iPhone?

Sorry, no. The only way to restore this note is to restore from a backup that contains it.

No, you have to sell yours and buy the new iPhone 5 with the proceeds.

    Hi Michela27,
Thanks for visiting Apple Support Communities.
If you have content on your iPhone that isn't on your computer, the best thing is to use the advice in this article to transfer it to your new computer before setting up sync:

I bought and downloaded the Ricky Gervais' Audiobook series "A Guide To" last year off of my old iPhone. Since i bought my new iPhone the audiobook dont show up in my purchased items list. Is there a way I can retrieve them without having to pay again.Ty

Sorry, but audiobooks cannot be downloaded more than once without charge. You will need to have the audiobooks in iTunes on your computer so you can sync them to your new iPhone. If the audiobooks are not in iTunes and you don't have a viable backup, you may be out of luck. You can, however, contact the iTunes Store, explain the situation, and see if they can make an exception for you.

  • I have installed Elements on a new PC. I have transferred all my photos to the new PC. Do I have to re-tage them all or is there a way I can re-create my tags on the new installation?

I do not want to start importing media into Elements and have to re-tag all the files. Can anyone advise what I should do? Is there a way of importing the tag structure I created on my old (now not working) pc?

    Thanks for your reply.
The files don't open in preview either. In preview I get the error message 'The file "xxxx_xxx.jpg" could not be opened. It may be damaged or use a file format that Preview doesn't recognize'. The folders with these un-openable pictures do not even get imported into iPhoto. When I try to import them I get an error message about the files being unreadable.
The color profile information on the un-openable files is not visible but I see that all the other files from my old drive are RGB.

  • Is there a way I can force an application to use the GPU?

I own a MacBook Pro 15in with retina display with integrated graphics from NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M. Currently I have my settings in the "Energy Saver" section of the System Preferences set for automatic graphics switching. I use an interior design application called Live Interior 3D Pro. This application uses a lot of 3D rendering that lags for a 2-3 seconds. I checked my activity monitor to see if the application was using the GPU, and it indicated it was not. I understand that I can uncheck the automatic graphics switching to fix the problem, but the problem is I hear it screws with the battery life. I do not want to switch off the automatic switching setting but do want this specific application to use the GPU instead of the built in Intel Iris Pro graphics thing. Is there a setting I can use to make just this application fire up the GPU when I open it? If not, do you know if switching off the automatic graphics switching setting messes with the battery at all? Also, does this mess with the performance of the machine overall since I have 16GB of RAM and only 2GB of GPU power or are those totally different and irrelevant? Thank you for your time and thank you in advanced for your help!!!!!!!!

    jspatel1011,
your MacBook Pro’s discrete NVIDIA GPU is more powerful than its integrated Intel graphics; that power comes at the cost of increased energy consumption. There’s no setting to allow exceptions to the automatic graphics switching; you’ll have to determine whether that power vs. energy tradeoff is worth it when running Live Interior 3D Pro or not. If it is worth it, then disable the automatic graphics switching before you run Live Interior 3D Pro, and reënable it after you quit that app. (You might look into AppleScript to see if that disabling and reënabling can be automated.) If it’s not worth it, then you’ll have to live with the lagging while it does the 3D rendering.

  • My mac book pro was stolen, i had not backed up time machine on an external hard drive, is there some way i can retrieve my files ? (does the computer save to the internet possibly or the I Cloud ? )

My mac book was stolen and although i had time machine i had not backed up to a current hard drive because that was also stolen. I was wondering if there was some software that allowed me to access my old computer somehow, does it save your files to the internet or to some external system manually ? obviously i know this is unlikely but i thought i would check as the computer had all my work on it.

I try to warn people, that TimeMachine drives tend to get stolen along with everything else.
To make and store bootable clones offsite or in a safe or something.

There is nothing you can do, unless the police get luckly and find it, then after many months in evidence you can have it back and pray your files are still there.

  • Is there any way i can get something to connect to the macbook air since it doesn't have a CD slot?

i wanted to know if theres anything i can purchase something in addition to the macbook air computer that can allow me view a CD since there is no CD slot for this particular computer?

APple sells a "matching" drive, but any external USB drive will do.

You can also use DVD or CD Sharing. This convenient feature of OS X lets you wirelessly “borrow” the optical drive of a nearby Mac or PC. So you can install applications from a DVD or CD and have full access to an optical drive without having to carry one around.
