It keeps telling me that I have 5 computers authorized, but I do not have 5 computers.

Once you've authorized a computer it is authorized forever untill you "unauthorize" it. So if you have had a computer and gotten rid of it, or authorized a friends computer to use for awhile, or anything else then you've authorized computers up to your limit.

Read this whole message before doing anything.
Back up all data. Quit the App Store application if it’s running. Test after each of the following steps until the problem is resolved.
Step 1
Triple-click the line below on this page to select it:
/Library/Updates
Right-click or control-click the highlighted line and select
Services ▹ Reveal
from the contextual menu. A Finder window should open with a folder selected. Move the contents of the selected folder to the Trash. You may be prompted for your administrator password.
Step 2
Do as in Step 1 with this line:
/Library/Preferences/com.apple.SoftwareUpdate.plist
If there's no change, quit the App Store and restore the file you moved from your backup, overwriting the one that may have been created in its place. Otherwise, recreate your settings in the Software Update preference pane.
Step 3
Hold down the option key and select
Go ▹ Library
from the Finder menu bar. Move the following items from the Library folder to the Trash (some may not exist):
Caches/com.apple.SoftwareUpdate
Preferences/com.apple.SoftwareUpdate.plist
Preferences/ByHost/com.apple.SoftwareUpdate.*.plist
Saved Application State/com.apple.SoftwareUpdate.savedState
Here, "*" stand for a long string of letters, numbers, and dashes.
Step 4
If you still have problems, quit the App Store again.
Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:

Copy the selected text to the Clipboard (command-C).
Launch the Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.
Paste into the Terminal window (command-V). A folder should open. Inside that folder, there may be a subfolder with the name "com.apple.SoftwareUpdate". If so, delete it. You can then quit Terminal.

Hi, Last year I did a movie from imovie and imported it directly to dvd studio pro, with no problems, that I can remember. I did a new movie this, and now, I'm having problems importing it. I was told to use the compressor, which I'm trying to do. Its telling me that I have to restart my computer, or check my installation process. Why does it keep telling me that. I remember using it before, with no problems. I need to import my imovie project to dvd studio pro, so I can finish my dvd.
Is there another alternative, if I can't get my compressor to work.

To install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you downloaded.
Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up").
In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any Apple Software Update entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
Next, select any Bonjour entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time?

iPad and iPhones don't get authorised/deauthorised, only computers are. You mention deauthorising devices - do you mean that you've been into the 'manage devices' part of your account and removed them ? IHave you had other computers in the past and/or updated the OS on computers without deauthorising them ? Individual computers can only be deauthorised directly on them, but as you have more than 2 computers authorised then you can log into your account on your computer's iTunes via the Store > View Account menu option and 'deauthorise all' (which you can do once every 12 months) and you can then authorise/reauthorise the computers that you still have and need - see that page that you posted from for more info.

We have already tried to "deauthorize all" as suggested on the support page. And since you may only do that once per year, it is not an option. The iTunes Store says only one computer is authorized, yet my iTunes account says I have more than 5. This prevents me from accessing some of my iTunes purchased material, though not all.
Any suggestions?

Trying to update and download Acrobat 8.0 to 8.1.0 and keeps telling me have invalid serial number when software is active and working on my computer.

Assuming AA 8 is installed and working, you have to download the updates from ftp://ftp.adobe.com/pub/adobe/acrobat/win/.
