HT1420 Itunes Match asking to subscribe...I already have it

I have I tunes match.  However my pc ask me to subscribe to itunes match, while my iphone is still able to connect.  Account is less than one month old and shouldn't be renewed.  I clicked subscribe to see what happens and I receive terms, I declined since usually payment info is the next question.  I am now unable to add more music to itunes match.  Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I was having the same problem tonight.  I did a clean install for Mountain Lion, and my iTunes was blank.  After authorizing the machine, and selecting Turn On iTunes Match, I only saw the renewal option.
I did some experimenting and this worked for me.
(1) Cleared iTunes cahce and reset warnings from Preferences > Advanced (which may not be required).
(2) Quit iTunes.  Open iTunes.
(3) Authorize computer.
(4) Select iTunes Store on the sidebar.
(5) Selected Purchased on the right side.
(6) Downloaded one track previously purchased.
(7) You should receive prompts asking to turn on Automatic Downloads.  I selected Music.
(8) Go to iTunes Match and you should see Add This Computer.
Hopefully this works for you as well!

There is no way to overcome this. You can only associate one Apple ID at a time iTunes Store: Associating a device or computer to your Apple ID

iTunes Match asks me to sign out and sign in again every time I attempt to update.  How do you fix this problem?

My problem is it asks me to sign out and back in every time I try to update ITunes Match. And it won't let you add a new song to a playlist unless it's updated on Match. So every time I add a song I have to sign out and back in just to put it on a playlist.  I saw this issue on the internet but no solution.
Very sorry I did iTunes Match.  Shuffled my playlists without asking and this additional extra work just to add a song to a playlist.  Not impressed - at all.
I do thank you for trying.  Surprised Apple doesn't monitor this stuff and step in and provide a fix.  Left to our own devices.  Thanks Apple!

    Hi Melissa1166,
I checked your account and don't see any order history associated with the email address that you use here in the forums. Is it possible that you used a different email address when you purchased your subscription?

Csoud1 is correct. But if you still want to keep your iTunes Match subscribed and did not want to sync with your iOS devices, do the following:
On you iOS devices, just go to Setting > Music > disable iTunes Match

Have you looked in the Music App on your iPhone? On the iPhone music is played by the Music App not iTunes.

  • Is there a way to update the itunes match to reflect changes that i have made on my computer

Every time i update itunes match it looses my alterations to my playlists and undoes any alterations to any albums i have made. Is there a way to update the itunes match to reflect changes that i have made on my computer?(Only copies new playlists and reverts old playlists to the way they were the first time I uploaded them) Any star ratings for albums are lost too if I put a star rating on them AFTER I first upload them to ITunes match.
Any help would be greatly appreciated and Merry Christmas you guys!

    HI
You don't need to select update iTunes match. It does not do what you expect!! You only need to make the changes and they will filter through to match naturally.

I can't drag files from iTunes to my iphone 5, I get an alert that says files can't be copied because I have iTunes Match enabled but I do not have iTunes M

Correct.  When you purchase devices, they would have stated the OS they needed to work, on the box.  This can be overlooked, but it is very important to check when purchasing.
You current OS, is so old, that they technology build into the new devices, is not something your OS understands.  It didn't exist when your OS was created, and therefore you need to upgrade the OS to work with the newer technology of these devices.
10.6 software is not downloadable.  You must purchase a DVD disc.  You can order it from the on-line apple store

    Hey there Dollyonline,
Thank you for asking your question! It sounds like iTunes Match playlists are not syncing correctly to your iPad, even though you have already toggled iTunes Match off then on again. I would next turn iTunes Match back off, then close all the apps on the iPad:
iOS: Force an app to close
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht5137
    Double-click the Home button.
Swipe left or right until you have located the app you wish to close.
Swipe the app up to close it.
When you have done that, sign out of your iTunes account in Settings > iTunes and App stores, and restart the phone then try turning on iTunes Match again to test the issue:
iOS: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1430
If the issue persists, I would next backup your device to iTunes, and restore it:

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
    Cheers,

  • HT1420 itune match

I authorized my computer to put all of my music on icloud and lost personal recordings I had made of music I had taped on the piano. On one of my computer I can see the music but can't access it and on the other it completely disappeared. Help! Is there a way I can remove myself from itune match?

Not unless you had already signed up to iTunes Match and uploaded your music from your computer to it. If they are iTunes purchased music then you might be able to re-download it (if it's still in the store) via the Purchased link under Quicklinks on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page on your computer's iTunes. If you aren't in a country where you can redownload music, and you haven't got a backup of your library, then you can try contacting iTunes Support and see if they will let you redownload your iTunes purchases : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page

  • HT1420 itunes match wont download some of the songs it downloaded on my former device

i had my songs working fine on my other ipod and my ipad mini. i gave my friend the mini, sold the ipod, and now have the new ipod. but about 40 or so songs just keep telling me they cant download because of an unspecified error. for two months now. i wasn't even going to bother renewing itunes match but it renewed itself eariler than i had marked on my calandar. i guess my error there.
anyway, anyone know what gives? the songs are indeed in itunes and as i said, downloaded fine on my former devices just a month ago.
(btw, i now have just a chromebook, not dual booted with straight linux yet. no access right now to desktop itunes. but i shouldnt need it, right? i use icloud. extensively.

  • HT204146 My MacBook Air is always telling me that my start up disk is full or fairly full. Will iTunes match alleviate this problem? I have an iCloud account.

My MacBook Air is always telling me that my start up disk is full or nearly full. Will iTunes match alleviate the problem of storage on my Hard Drive?  I have an iCloud account.

It could, but I wouldn't.  You really need two external hard drives (one to act as a backup for the other one).  Relocate your entire iTunes library to the external drive unless there are things you would prefer to simply archive (movies you don't need to watch everyday).

To move a library if you use iTunes' default preferences settings:  Copy the entire iTunes folder (and in doing so all its sub-folders and files) intact to the other drive.  Hold down the option (alt) key (shift on Windows) and open iTunes.  At the prompt to create or choose a library choose the copied iTunes folder.

  • Change iTunes match to another Apple ID (I have 2) on same computer

I use one computer, a MBP15. I have two Apple IDs, one being a .me and the other a Gmail. However, I do most purchases from the Gmail account in iTunes and forgot to check the account that was used to purchase iMatch last month which was the .me account. Is it possible to transfer my iMatch to my other ID (or visa versa) on the same computer, same iTunes, same Logon account?

No. iTunes Match is not transferable. You'll need to contact iTunes Store support to cancel the account and get a refund.

  • HT204406 All of my playlists are missing when I turn on Itunes match on my phone.  Itunes match as been enabled.  I have toggled several times.  Turned off the phone and restarted it.  Also tried restoring the phone.

My itunes match has been enabled.  I tried toggling several times.  I have restored the phone twice.  None of my playlists are appearing on my phone that are in Itunes.  I have to have these playlists.  Why am I paying for a service that not working properly most of the time.  The other day I could not play all of my songs from my playlist.

Try it again. Apple fixed the issue. Turn your Match off and then on again.

  • Can I disengage iTunes Match on my iPad if I have it on my other devices?

I do not have a cellular service on my iPad (my choice), which means that my iTunes music library on the iPad is virtually useless unless I am within range of a wi-fi network. I want to be able to use my iPad like an iPod -- with the music stored on the device and not reliant and connecting to iTunes Match.
My main iTunes library is on a MacBook, and I also have an iPhone 4.
    What can I do?

Pre-download the music to the iPad while you are on your home, or any other Wi Fi, network; or, disable iTunes Match and sync the music to the iPad via USB.
