I just bougth a new imac and I cannot get my iphone 5 to sync with it........any help would be appreciated

You've authorised your Mac's iTunes via the Store drop-down menu, and what happens when you try to sync it ?

Welcome to the Apple Community.
First check that all your settings are correct, that calendar syncing is checked on all devices (system preferences > iCloud on a mac and settings > iCloud on a iPhone, iPad or iPod).
Make sure the calendars you are using are in your 'iCloud' account and not an 'On My Mac', 'On My Phone' or other non iCloud account (you can do this by clicking/tapping the calendar button in the top left corner of the application ), non iCloud calendars will not sync.
If you are sure that everything is set up correctly and your calendars are in the iCloud account, you might try unchecking calendar syncing in the iCloud settings, restarting your device and then re-enabling calendar syncing settings.

Ical on iphone does not sync with ical on mac, but the mac does it!

My ical on my iphone does not sync with ical on mac using MobileMe, but reverse it works very well.
so typing an new event in ical on my phone will NOT appear in ical at my computer. Typing a new event on my mac, than within 10 seconds it appears on my phone.
anybody know how to resolve this? never had the problem before
problem 2: ical on my iphone seems to duplicate a lot of events. Non of them are duplicated on my computer.

I have solved my problem - don't know if yours is the same. I noticed on iPhone, when I listed the calendars there are two sections: the top line showed "All Calendars ->"; when I click on that I get duplicate entries for everything.
Below that is:
"From My Mac.
"All from My Mac ->", followed by a list of individual calendars. When I clicked on that I got single entries.
This led me to realize that in my Settings ->Accounts I had the old "...mac.com" a/c and new "..me.com" a/c. I had thought it didn't matter.
Once I eliminated the "mac.com" A/c, I had only one set of calendars.

Iphone does not sync with Yahoo Address Book

Hi My iPhone does not sync with Yahoo Address book. iTunes comes back with an error
"iTunes could not sync with Yahoo Address Book.Because an Internet connection not available"
This make no sense as I am conected to the internet. iTunes can acess the iTunes Store without a problem. I can also access the Web.
Any ideas?

I ran into this problem just within the past couple of weeks. I found someting on another discussion group on the net about someone with the same problem. They said that it was because one of their notes was too long.
I looked at my notes and wouldn't you know it, I created a couple of extra long notes a couple of weeks ago! I deleted them and I am able to sync without errors again. I didn't know there was a size limit for a note on the iphone.
PS. I have an iPhone 3GS, iOS 5.1.1, iTunes 10.6.3.25

Not true. The music and pic sync is one way - computer to iphone. The only exception is itunes purchases. Without syncing: File>Transfer Purchases
You really should transfer everything from the old computer, or your backup copy of your computer. Since you do not have access to the old computer, then use your backup copy of the old computer.
If for some reason you have failed to maintain a backup copy of your computer ( not good), then you would have to transfer itunes purchased as described earlier. Any other itunes content would be lost.
You can e-mail photo library pics to yourself, but they will not be of the original quality.
Before syncing, enter at least one unique contact and calendar entry on the computer. When you first sync, then you should get the option to merge the data.

After having the Apple Store migrate all my data and programs from an older iMac to a new iMac 27" my iPhone does not sync. After connecting the phone it begins and goes to about steps 3 or 4 and then the "apple" appears indicating it is finished - however new pictures have not been transferred to the phone and updates for apps have not happened. Your music/movies, etc will only be where you put them.
Copy everything fom your old computer or your backup copy of your old computer to your new one

Was the iPod previously synced to another computer/iTunes library?

My iPhone does not sync with iTunes

Since updating the software on my iPhone iOS 7.0.4, it will not sync with iTunes (ver 11.1.3) on my laptop. I can deselect and re-select podcast, music, audiobooks, etc. then sync. iTunes will act like it is synce (going through 6 steps) but nothing is transferred to my phone. Does does not matter what combination I used or how many time I try to sync and apply changes. Even if I change nothing and sync the phone, nothing appears on the phone was the sync is complete. This has been extremely frustrating.

You can try resetting your iPhone by simultaneously pressing and holding the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons until you see the Apple Logo. This can take up to 15 seconds so be patient and don't release the buttons until the logo appears.
Try again to see if the problem persists.

Since upgrading to Yosemite, my iPhone contacts do not sync with my iMac contacts over iCloud.
The iMac and iPad sync as usual. I don't see any difference in the sync settings for the iPhone and iPad in the summary or info sections on iTunes.
Any thoughts?

Nevermind. The issue was apparently on one name. I deleted and re-entered it, and now everything seems to work normally.

My Iphone does not sync with My Music

Hello ,
Last week reconfigured my Iphone from scratch getting most of the music I bought to apple from apple store.
For my surprise from the 350songs I purchased I could only download from Apple Store only 280.
The remaining songs appear in Itunes with a greyed cloud.
In fact I can listen to them .
Once downloaded those songs are not synchronize with my Iphone.
If I go to the Itunes media folder those m4a are there .
Why the **** they are not sync with my Iphone ?
Please help . I am not willing to re purchase the remaining 70 songs!!!!

Hi, Yes the phone was synced with my old admin account on the same computer there seemed to be problems with that account (recognsing the printer, various glitches etc) so I opened another admin account on the same computer. Made the first account non administration and transfered all my stuff to the new one. Now the iphone wont sync with the new one.

I recently bought a PC laptop with Windows 7 OS. I transferred my backed-up Outlook contacts. notes, etc. and then synced my iPhone with my new PC. However the iPhone did not sync. I now have 4 contacts folders and I am wondering if ths is the problem. Previously I had no problem syncing with my old PC (windows Vista OS) which had only 1 folder, and I am wondering if this is the problem. I tried going to Add-Ons but I was not sure what to do. I use my iPhone for business and find Oulook a powerful tool, but now my iPhone is useless without being able to sync with Outlook. Any suggestions? Thank You
