HT1420 Please help with Authorizing a new computer

I have tried what they say to go to store then account and it says I have 2 computers authorized and the only button is to deauthorize the 2 computers. Please help. I just want to add our new computer.

Press the Alt and S keys and choose Authorize this Computer, or click here, follow the instructions, click on Store in the menu bar, and choose Authorize this Computer.

Need help with my iTunes-new computer-can't access my music

We just got a new computer and I transferred all of my songs from the old to the new and now when I try to access them in iTunes I get an error message that "it cannot be used because the original file cannot be located" Do I have to put in the DVD with all of the files on it in order to use any of my song? I thought that I saved them to my hard drive, but who knows....HELP!!! pLEase!!!

You haven't told us enough about what you did.
You need to explain exactly how you did your transfer.
If you don't care about your ratings and play counts and your really did copy your files across, there is a simple way of getting going again.
With iTunes closed drag iTunes Library.itl and iTunes Music Library.itl out of the iTunes folder to the desk top.
Start iTunes and you will have an empty library. Now simply add the folder with your music files in it - normally iTunes Music - to iTunes with File>Add folder to library.
If you didn't copy your files across, try putting the DVD in the drive and opening iTunes - can iTunes find your files now. If so it is a sign you added the files to your library without copying them to your internal HD.

Help with Ipod touch + new computer

I've got a new computer, but havent connected my ipod touch as I'm scared it might delete everything on my ipod. I don't have too many music tracks and they are all on cd anyway so I can add the music to the new computer, no problem there.
But what about the apps on the ipod touch. Do I have to reinstall all of them again?

Help with Aperture on new computer

I have bought Aperture a long time ago (version 1). When updated to new version I have bought that too. Had Aperture version 3 on my old iMac and transferred that to my new iMac. When I start Aperture it ask for serialnumber. I have serialnumber from the upgrade but that doesnot seems to work. I have wiped out everthing on my old computer and sold it, so I cannot check for any other serialnumber.
I tried to buy Aperture again, but it says "Already installed" and I did not get any new serial numer that way.
What to do?

After reinstalling Aperture on a new Mac you need to enter all serial numbers, beginning with the first version you bought, then the upgrade serial numbers. If you no longer have the Aperture 1 and 2 serial numbers, contact Apple for a replacement serial number.

If you want to buy Aperture again, but cannot, because it is already installed, deinstall it, then try to buy from the AppStore, but with a proof of purchase Apple should provide you with a replacement serial number.

Please help with Applet in New Window?

I am trying to write a html page which opens appet into new window.
Tha'ts what i want. My applet has user/passwd authentication and then
makes a socket connection. However i am facing tow problems(kind of one):
1. If i close my applet browser window, socket connection is still active.
(if i use appletviewer.. every thing works perferctly)
2. on my web page, if i click again to open my appet window it refreshes my applet window again ....if it 's already opened. in other words, my applet does not really gets reloaded from my webserver..
Please advise..

You can open a frame, and have a very small applet on your html page. Perhaps you can set the applet size to (0, 0).
You could also open a new browser window that is not resizable and contains your applet in its full size and without the toolbar buttons and menubar. I think you need javascript to configure the new browser window like that.

Please help with backup of new MM iCal

I have just updated to the new MM calendar, and am attempting to understand the proper way to backup iCal on my Mac. The Apple support article says to choose File > Export > Export and choose a location, which implies that one should NOT use the prior system of File > Export > iCal Archive. Do I understand this correctly? If so, why? Also, with the old iCal I could combine my 4 separate calendars under one group calendar and back it up all at once. With this new system, which does not support groups, it appears that I must back up each of the 4 calendars individually. Is this correct? If so, it seems like a step backwards, with (for me) 4 times the work. At this point I just want to find out if my understanding is correct, or if I am more confused than I think I am. Thanks!

I have "authorized" my new computer in itunes to play and sync old itunes library. However, not all songs can be played due to a continuing authority problem. Apparently, these old songs are associated with a old user apply id--and old--no longer accessible email address. I have two instances in a server. both have different homes. I want to create a seperate listener for the second one i created.
But that is not happening.

It sounds as though you are experiencing an issue with an Apple ID and authorizations. Based on your post, it sounds like you are familiar with the authorizing and deauthorizing process. It would help if you would describe what a 'broken' computer is. Did a truck run over it? Does it just not turn on? etc.
