HT1420 where is the authorize this computer selection in the iTunes store

cant find the optin to authorize computer

If the computer's running Mac OS X, move the cursor to the very top of the computer's screen, click on Store, and choose Authorize this Computer.
If the computer's running Windows, press the Alt and S keys and choose Authorize this Computer, or click here, follow the instructions, click on Store in the menu bar, and choose Authorize this Computer.

  • HT1420 There is no "authorize this computer" button from the itunes store.

I'm trying to authorize a new computer from the itunes store.  The tutorial says to click on the "authorize this computer" button from the itunes store, but I cannot find it!  So frustrating!

It is not in the iTunes Store...
    Open iTunes...
If you're using iTunes 11 click on the box icon in the top-left corner to see the " Show Menu Bar "
and from the Menu Bar select Store...
From the Store menu, choose Authorize This Computer.
(In earlier versions of iTunes, access this option from the Advanced menu).
When prompted, enter your Apple ID and password, then click Authorize.

  • HT1420 Unable to find "Authorize this Computer"

I am unable to find Authorize this Computer under the Store menu.  Please help.

There's a couple of ways to get through to the authorisation controls in the 11.0.x versions.
The control is still in the Store menu, but first (if you're using iTunes versions 11.0.x) you might need to bring up the menu bar to see the Store menu.
If you're using 11.0.x, click on the wee boxy icon up in the top-left corner of your iTunes to see the "Show Menu Bar" control, as per the following screenshot:
Then you'll find the control in the Store menu:
Alternatively, if you don't want to bring up the menu bar, it's still possible to get into the authorise controls via nested menus accessible from the wee boxy icon. Here's a screenshot of where to find them:

  • I can not find in iTunes where to choose "Authorize This Computer"?

My computer crashed. Technical guys rescued most of content including iTunes library. I had 4 computers authorized. I can pull up my library of music but can't add to the library because I cannot have my new computer authorized by following the instruction given by iTunes. My computer: PC Windows 8.
Windows 8 has been a nightmare, but I'm learning.
    Help?

    Authorization
Macs:  iTunes Store- About authorization and deauthorization.
Windows: How to Authorize or Deauthorize iTunes | PCWorld.
In iTunes you use the Authorize This Computer or De-authorize This Computer option under the Store menu in iTunes' menubar.
For Windows use the ALT-S keys to access it. Or turn on Windows 7 and 8 iTunes menus: iTunes- Turning on iTunes menus in Windows 8 and 7.

  • HT1420 I can't find the "authorize this computer" button in updated itunes. How can I do it?

I cannot find the place to authorize my computer for iTunes. The link given by Apple's support team is not helpful--the updated iTunes doesn't show the same screen or information as I had in an older version of iTunes. I would really like some help because Apple's support team isn't giving me any more new information than I already had in the first place. All they gave me was a link to a page on their website about authorization/de-authorization that I've visited before, to no avail.

If you are on a Mac then it should be in the same place as on previous version e.g. on my Mac on iTunes 11
If you are on a PC then Alt-S should open the Store drop-down menu at the top of it

  • Where is the iTunes store to rent movies?

I have a first generation Apple TV.  Has always worked wonderful.  All of a sudden there are no options for new movies to purchase or buy.
I've checked my network, I'm connected, it's just that the store is gone.  Suggestions please?

The only place you can rent movies that will play on the pad is apple.  But not in the app store.  Click on the I tunes icon.  There are a zillion movies.   You can download them direct to the pad, or download them on the computer, then transfer them to the pad.
Read the stuff on I tunes about how rentals work.
