How can i access my iPad from my macbook if the display is out? i would like to back up all my information but i cannot "allow" access on the iPad if i cannot see the iPad display. Suggestions?

Just found out that my display is hosed on my iPad 2. Connecting it to my macbook prompts me to "allow' access on the iPad 2. I cannot do so because this information is on the iPad 2 display.

Thank you for the question. Once you have installed the iCloud Control Panel for Windows, you enable Photo Stream. This will add a folder called Photo Stream Uploads in My Pictures or Pictures. From there, you will drag and drop photos that you would like in Photo Stream to the Uploads folder.

How do I get my contacts from my Mac to the iCloud after the first set up?

I have all my contacts on my MacBook but only some of them went into the iCloud. How do I "re-do" the initial launch and get all the contacts in the icould to now sync with my 4s and iPad2?

I have installed iTunes 10.5 on my mac and iOS5 on my iphone 3GS, but can't seem to get my address book to sync to my phone thru iCloud.
I opened System Preferences on the mac as you have described above but don't see an option for "iCloud".
I've also tried to switch off the iCloud sync on the phone to revert syncing with my Mac but it appears that this doesn't work now. So I'm stuck!

How can I get me Ipad or Ipod to change the sequence of how it shuffles music? It always shuffles in the same order, not randomly so I only get the hear the same songs in the same supposedly shuffled sequence. Doesn't seem shuffled at all

I have a number of external hard drives connected to my system - when I am powering down and I try to eject the drives before powering down the system tells me the drives can't be ejected because some other program may be using them. I have no other programs running and have to force eject the drives. This is something new that's happening and I'm worried it may mean somebody is accessing my system from outside my network. What exactly is the material you have? What does item properties say about it? If it's too small you'll have to scale it up, but if you scale it up a lot it's going to get soft and pixely.

Where are the ringtones now?
If they are on your iphone and not your computer, then put them on your computer from your iphone: FIle>Devices>Transfer Purchases

How can I remove my name from being associated with the GB file I export?

I am using Garage Band '11, 6.0.5.
I am editing an audio recording for a friend.
When I exported the edited recording, it had my name associated with the file as the artist, album, etc.
I searched and found "My info" (in "Preferences") and deleted my information from ALL name, album, artist fields, but it still exported the file with my name as the artist (but it did not list it as from my album this time)?
Does anyone know how/where/what I need to do to remove all references of my name associated with this file I'm editing?
And also, can I change who is associated with a GB file, from file to file (i.e. if editing my audio, use my name & info, if editing for a friend or colleague, theirs? or is the name associated with my GB account universally embedded into every file, no matter if I want it to be mine or not)?

The problem is, that this information is stored with the GarageBand project, when you first create the project. You have to edit the Preferences, before you create the project.
If the project already exists, you can change this option by turning the project into a podcast. Add a Podcast track (Track menu, Show Podcast Track), select the podcast track, and open the Info panel. Then edit the artist field in the Info panel, before you save the song to disk.
(added: I saw the workaround with the Podcast track first in a post by Edgar).

I have Illustrator 10 (Yes, I'm aware it's old, but I can't afford to buy the newest version, as much as I want it) and Photoshop Elements 1(Again, I know it's old, but I do have 7, but it sucks, because when I go to scale pictures down, there is no option of pixels, just inches, points, and everything but pixels, and I only use pixels, so I only use PSE1), and they both started getting the hand icon as the cursor, no matter what tool I selected.
One time I had Illustrator open, it was fine, left it for awhile, came back, and it was last on the Direct Selection Tool, and it was now showing the hand icon. I would reset the computer and it would be fine, thinking memory is the issue, but it just happened again. I had rebooted my computer(just on an unrelated thing), and decided I'd work on one of my cartoon characters and I loaded it up, and the picture, and voila! The hand icon was showing right off the bat, and I didn't want to reboot again.
Is there something I can do? Seems like these Adobe programs are going "hand" on me. I just am very frustrated, as I never had so much as no trouble with these programs(I had I10 for a long time), and now they go wonky on me. It first started with PSE1, but only once, and I thought it was just a random glitch, nothing to worry about, since it never happened again....til it did much, much later.

Restore from the iCloud backup - assuming that you were backing up to iCloud in the first place. If you weren't using iCloud for backup - then you are out of luck.
If you were backing up to iCloud - you have to erase all contents on the iPad in Settings>General>Reset>Erase all content and settings - before you can restore from the iCloud backup.
