I cannot send or receive emails since update?

Don't think they are breaking any contract. E-mail is not part of the contract only an internet connection! See my "rant" on e-mail fiasco "Here we go again!!"
Mistakes and embarrasing goofs in e-mails are only discovered when you've sent them!

  • IPhone 4 has ceased sending or receiving texts since iOS6 update. Any ideas?

    There seem to be similar threads out there but nothing the same as this problem. Since my upgrade to iOS6 last week, my iPhone 4 has:
    a) deleted my text history
    b) refused to send texts (it hangs on about 90% delivery in the status bar)
    c) delivered me no texts (despite getting friends to send me test sms messages)
    I don't care much about (a) above but (b) and (c) are killing me. I've tried restarting the phone, turning off/on iMessage…

    So, nearly two months without SMS. Life is different now. Some friends have gone, some have emailed me irate that I don't know they've messaged me…
    Seriously – since posting this original problem I have tried:
    Using a different SIM card – result was everything was the same other than different service operator. messages still not present and still not sending or receiving through imessage.
    Completely reset and reinstalled the system – nothing is changed.
    Downloaded a new app called Textie which does seem to work – sort of – but it's buggy. One bug is that the alerts don't work on the home page.
    All in all – I really want to get imessage working. Surely some other people have had this problem? I don't understand why Apple doesn't seem to care.

  • IMovie cannot find vidoes in iPhoto since iOS6 update.  It doesn't recognize any videos and all were taken with iPad camera.

    I recently updated my iPad to iOS 6.  It also updated many of my apps including iMovie.  After the update when I opened iMovie, I got an error message saying videos in the project couldn't be located.  It then asks if I would like to search for them, which I click yes and then I just get a message that an error occurred.  I have even tried to add new videos to this project or a new project and it won't recognize any videos on my iPad, or pictures for that matter.  It does find music.  All the pictures and videos on my iPad were taken with the iPad camera, no other camera or app.

    Could you please mention your phone model & OS version you're using... coz, options quit different between those....

  • Loaded Software. Now I can't Send or Recieve email

    I loaded the software fo the Blackberry Curve on my Laptop. and tried to syncronize. Now I cannot send or recieve email from my blackberry. I get a meesgae in the "Message Status" that says "Desktop Email program unable to store message". Please Help. Is there a way to restore my original settings.

    While installing the desktop manager did you select BlackBerry Enterprise Service? If yes then in your PC Go to Control Panel -> Click Add / remove programs -> select Blackberry Desktop Manager -> click  Change/Remove -> click modify ->  then instead of selecting the checkbox for Enterprise Server/Redirector select the checkbox next to Blackberry Internet Service.
    If problem still persists then have a back up of your device and wipe it clean. After that re-intregrate your mail IDs.

    Since updating to IOS 6 I cannot send or receive email at all. tries resetting & restrating ipda several times - no difference. Internet is working fine.

    What email account are you having an issue with?
    Try removing the account you are having an issue with and then re-add the account via settings > mail, contacts and calendars.
    A lot of times this fixes the problem with sending and receiving mail.

    This - is not sending email.
    If ntlworld is your internet service provider at home and you have a wi-fi netwok at home, you should be able to send with the account when connected to your wi-fi network at home and when connected to any other wi-fi network using ntlworld as the internet device provider.
    You will not be able to send email with the account when connected to the internet with any other ISP besides ntlworld unless ntlworld has an authenticated SMTP server.

    A Mac with OSX 10,5.8 should synce but not restore with iTunes version 10.6.3
    iTunes 10.6.3
    To restore you need iTunes 10.7 or later and that requores OSX 10,6,8 or later

    Try this  - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.     Hello,
    The other day I changed my password on my comcast.net email account, and everything works fine. Then I entered the new password into my iPhone  email address (same email address as Comcast). Since then, I cannot send or receive email on my iPhone. Never had this problem before.
    Each time I try to send an email a window pops up and says:  "The user name or password for (then it gives my email address) is incorrect"
    (iPhone 3G)
    Does anyone have a solution for this?
