HT1430 I'm holding the button forever and it still isn't resetting. It's stuck with the dial thingy rotating.
My IPAD2 is stuck with the dial rotating. This dial came up just after I slid my finger across the shut down bar this morning. It has been rotating all day and doesn't respond no matter how long I hold down the restart button. I can't think of why it would possibly be doing this? It do however frequently have trouble with the included CAMERA app. When I try to email video clips it often closes the app or freezes it.
How do I determine which operating system I have?
button or buttons? the reset is triggered by holding down the sleep and home buttons at the same time, past the red slider and until you see the silver apple and it reboots.

i do not have a file box in the latest version of itunes,and so cannot consolidate my files to be able to move itunes from one extarnal hard drive to another.i have tried tutorials but all say to use the file button which i do not have and when i go to library it does not open the consolidate file box.can anyone please advise or point me to a tutorial for the latest version of itunes guide to be able to do this as i'm going mad here.is there a step by step guide i can follow?

I already switched back to Philippines store but my applications still won't update. I am just having trouble with updating apps. I can still purchase and download new apps.

I thought this latest OS release had fixed my WiFi and Bluetooth problem, but I was excited for only a minute! I actually was able to connect to my WiFi at home and paired my Bluetooth to my car - but after a few minutes, the Bluetooth automatically turned off and the WiFi no longer worked. Is there a FIX to this??? I know it's the OS that disabled them and I'm not paying $500 for a new phone when my upgrade is not availbe for another six months!!!!
My iPhone 4S did once again did lose it's wifi connection after running perfectly for about 8 weeks.
I was streaming Pandora Radio via bluetooth connection at the time, ( not sure if that has anything to do with why the wifi dropped out again, but I thought I'd mention it anyway)
But!.... I was able to get everything up and running perfectly again by simply grabing my girlfriend's hair dyer heated it up again for about 5 - 7 minutes ( the over heated message even appeared this time) then powered it off, warped it in a plastic bag, stuck it back in the freezer for 15 minutes, took it out of the freezer, powered it back on, and Abracadabra it works perfectly again!!!
Phone has been running perfectly AGAIN for about a week now.
One strange thing this time after fixing it for a second time is that the the little WiFi symbol no longer shows at the top of the screen, but the wifi connection and everything IS RUNNING PERFECTLY!
If all I've got to do once in a while, is spend about 20 minutes with a hairdryer and a freezer to keep my iPhone 4S running perfectly.....well I'm as happy as a pig in s*** :-)
And please no comments about how I have now voided my apple support etc. I never had any to begin with (it's a 2nd hand phone and I really couldn't care less about warranty issues etc etc etc..... The phone works, and that's all that matters to me! -
I Sarted doing the update through WIFI and it asked me to connect to Itunes which I have done. Then it said I needed to restore the I pad which I clicked to do, it went through all the motions then cam up with an error message on the laptop. Now all I can get is the apple on the screen like when you switch it on or off. I have tried holding the power and home buttons to restart the Ipad but it goes black then comes back to the apple? Any help would be welcomed.....

if you signed up for a cc subscription, download the cc desktop app and install it, https://creative.adobe.com/products/creative-cloud
use the desktop app to install your cc programs.
if you have any installed now that were installed using some other installers, uninstall, clean (Use the CC Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems | CC, CS3-CS6) and then install the cc desktop app. -

Install the above driver and that will install both the ethernet driver and co-processor driver.
You have a problem with the wireless card...could be minor, could be major.
The wireless card is missing from the device manager.
Install this software, reboot, and see if you can turn on the wireless card by using this software.

If that doesn't get the Network Controller device to show up so that you can post the hardware ID for it, then the motherboard is shot. Power to the slot that the wireless card is connected to has been cut.
Very common problem with the Nvidia chipset motherboards with the amd processors. -

i tried to soft reset my ipod touch with the top button and the screen button. it turned off and then went to the blue screen with the apple like it should. however, it now just stays on that screen. it has a sort of clock looking thing at the bottom of the apple that does not move either. it has stayed on this screen for over 4 hours. i also can not hard reset it in itunes. i am not really goood at this sort of thing. does anyone have this problem or a possible solution? thanks

The ipad had not been backed up b/c it kept saying not enough storage availableA reset may help. Tap and hold the Home button and the On/Off buttons for approximately 15-20 seconds, until the Apple logo reappears. When the logo appears, release both buttons.
