HT1430 I want to reset my email password. When I go to settings, then mail the section on accounts remains grey rather than bold & so I cannot enter in to it to reset the password. I have switched my ipad off & on & this makes no difference... any ideas?

Thanks for the question. I understand you are wishing to change the stored password for an email account on your iPad 2.
If you are unable to edit this field, you may want to remove and re-add the account. Please make sure to back up all of your information before doing so. Also Note: if this is an external email provider, you'll need to reset your password using their website, then update your iPad to reflect the new password.

why will some websites which loaded fine before now not load - when other favourites load fine, and new searches are fine? This only affects 2 websites, both of which were bookmarked. I have removed them as bookmarks and this makes no difference.
From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type or copy paste the following:
~/Library/Caches/com.apple.Safari/Cache.db
Click Go then move the Cache.db file to the Trash.
Quit and relaunch Safari to test. -

I noticed yesterday my Iphone 4s does not say verizon at the top anymore. I tried calling *228 and did both options mutiple times and it hasnt changed. Also when i go to settings>general>about the network tab says unavailable. how can i fix this
Can you make and receive calls and texts? If you can, I wouldn't worry about it. If you can't, you may need to call Verizon. However, try this first. The 4S has a Vodafone SIM card in it for foreign travel. Try taking the SIM out and doing the *228 again. Once it activates properly, you should be able to put the SIM back for safe keeping. It's not used in the U.S.

my iPhone fell on the floor yesterday; now it will ony operate when connected to the PC - then it works fine. If I disconnect it from the PC, the screen reverts to black with the apple logo, eventually completely black; iPhone is unresponsive until reconnected to PC. Any ideas anyone?

It's time to find yourself a competent 3rd party repair shop or just buy a new phone. I believe you can get an out of warranty replacement from Apple for $149 (not absolutely positive they still offer them for the 3G), but given the age of the phone and the cost, a new one might make more sense. -

I am trying to update by Ipad through my PC. I have connected but it is so slow.. The predicted time is 37 hours for 1.3GB which is ludicrous.
My Broadband speed is over 7MBs so something is wrong.
I also tried to download ITunes 12.,1 through iTunes but this was also slow so I did it through the website which was 3 minutes all in.
My conclusion is a bad setting in iTunes somewhere. - but how to fix???

I Just purchased a MacBook Air 2010 but it did not come with USB drive to reset it can I do it without or where can I get one? It has10.6.8 on it Mac OS X it has old owners stuff on it.
From what little you say, it sounds like the computer's hard drive was partitioned as Master Boot Record and then formatted FAT or NTSF. You'll need to run Disk Utility and delete the partition and then click on the Option's button and select GUID. Then you'll be able to format the drive as HFS+ to install OS X.

AS soon as I turn on the the mac, the apple start up screen is intitated and then it simply shuts off. I am not sure what to do.....any advise?
.. be sure the power adpater is supplying power to your Mac. Do you see the green LED on the magnetic plug? If not, the power cord could be disconnected at the adpater block.
.. next, reset the SMC for your Mac.
.. you can try to start your Mac in Recovery mode.. as you restart, press the "R" button until it boots. And go from there. -

Are you sure you really do not have a 2G iPod? Those can only go to 4.2.1

I got my ipod for christmas this year its the 4th generation.It keeps turning the volume down by its self,when i try to turn it up it does not work. It wont let me i dont know why so i cannot play music on my ipod which defeates the reason i got it.Also when it turns the volume down its self or i on the rare occasion that the volume works and i turn it down the speaker comes up and will not go.It stays there which is making my ipod difficult to use.Its been doing this for about a week now.I used it alot and i feel lost without it haha. it looks like that when it is locked and when its unlocked it looks like thisHave you checked the volume button? It might be physically stuck. To determine whether a hardware repair is needed, you need to follow these steps:
1. Try doing a hard reset:
Press and hold both the Home button and the Sleep/wake button simultaneously for about 15 seconds and release when the Apple logo appears.
After that: test the device to see whether the issue is solved.
2. If the issue is not solved, you should backup the device and restore it as new.
In that case, use: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4137
NB: set up as a NEW device because a software issue will be in the backup.
If the issue persists after restoring as new, you should offer the device for service.
If you get specific error messages/codes in iTunes when updating/restoring, check this: http://support.apple.com/kb/ts3694 for causes and solutions

I have switched my IPad from AT&T to Verizon for 3G. Even though Verizon has activated the device, I am unable to connect to the network....I get intermittent message 'no service' and Verizon bars....please give me suggestions.
Did Verizon give you a new SIM? Have you tried Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings?

I am having issues with MLBtv, when I switch on my ATV it no longer comes up as an option nor does vimeo or the iTunes store, i've tried resets etc and after those they appear. put the tav into sleep mode and mysteriously they don't re appear. Any ideas?
