HT1430 If my iPod was given to someone else and they changed the reset code, how do I reset my ipod touch without that password?
My Dad gave my step sister my ipod last year. She changed the password to do a master reset. I called Apple, and I gave them the serial number but got nothing out of it. Because I wasn't paying $20 to talk to a representative. I need someone to tell me how I can find the password and get it changed so i can reset the whole iPod.
Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.
If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.
You can redownload iTunes purchases by:

If you backed up your iPod prior to it being locked you may be in luck.
1. Hook it up to your Mac or PC
2.Open iTunes
3.Click on your iPod (on the left hand side somewhere)
4.Click on restore (in the centre somewhere)
5.follow the onscreen instructions
Once you have restored the device there should be an option that says restore from back up.
Click on that.

downloaded acrobat reader 11 onto my Mac Book Pro, it can open the file but will not print. Get a message that says PDF cannot be printed, however, I forwarded it to someone else and they could print it, no problem. I called HP and spent an 1hour with them and then called Apple support and worked with them for 3 hours. No one can figure it out. Is there something wrong with this version? the pdf was created in 2004. Do I have to pay to get Acrobat?
Let me give you a slightly different perspective than everyone else here. You are using an unsecured wireless network, which means that all your network traffic is easily available for viewing by anyone else using that network. That's bad. Very bad, for you, unless you absolutely trust everyone who lives within range of this network. So stop doing it.
As to the Mac not connecting, wireless networking is simply too complex for any reasonable answer without more information. There are many possible error points, and as often as not it's the Mac that can connect and the Windows PC that cannot. Since you can't give us any information about the configuration of the neighbor's network, and can't make any changes to it, we can't do much to help you troubleshoot it. -

You must be running Windows. AMD is a service that needs to be running in order to sync your phone. You need to start it as described here: http://support.apple.com/kb/ts1567.

Forgotten Restrictions Passcode Help
You will need to restore your device as New to remove a Restrictions passcode. Go through the normal process to restore your device, but when you see the options to restore as New or from a backup, be sure to choose New.

I've recently tried reseting the whole Ipod and it came up with an on-screen message saying ''are you sure you want to reset the device? it will take up to an hour and no music or pictures will be restored'' so i clicked ''Yes, Rest'' (or what ever it said). - If you previously turned on FIndMyiPod on the iPod in Settings>iCloud and wifi is on and connected go to iCloud: Find My iPhone, sign in and go to FIndMyiPhone. If the iPod has been restored it will never show up.
- You can also wipe/erase the iPod and have to iPod play a sound via iCloud.
- Change the passwords for all accounts used on the iPod and report to police
- There is no way to prevent someone from restoring the iPod (it erases it) using it.
- Apple will do nothing

The SN will only identify the iPod as yours if it is recovered. -

No. The only way is if the FindMyiPod feature was already set up and wifi is on. However, that can be defeted by turning the iPod off or restoring it. If they have access to the iPod then can just turn the feature off.
If the iPod off/battery drained how would you expect there t be a way of finding it?

i have the ipod touch 4th generation and the screen is white, i was going to charge it and it turned white. I have tried to reset it but the apple logo will not show up and it will not turn on! i just got it for christmas... can you please help?
The way I did it was I got the free app sync:stream from the App Store and then added my ipod to my ps3's Bluetooth devices. Then went to audio settings and set output and input to 'Skaggs iPod' you then open the app and it will be listed under music as a media service. You then go to all tracks and click copy (press triangle) it will then begin to copy all of your songs onto your ps3 via Bluetooth. I haven't tried but I assume the same can be done with photos. - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Hello, I have to edit a form that was created by someone else. I made numerous changes to the text and repositioned a lot of the items, and it appeared fine on my computer. However, when I open it on my PC and other systems, the fonts are substituting and I'm getting strange characters where I changed the text. I tried embedding the fonts with the Preflight embed fonts, but it is still messed up. My client is anxious...not sure what else to check. Any help would be appreciated!
You don't need to re-do the fields. If you create a new version of the PDF
file just open the old one and use the Replace Pages command to insert the
pages from the new version over the old ones. This will give you a new
version of the file, with the existing form fields still in tact. Of
course, you might need to adjust their location and/or size, but at least
you won't have to start all over again...

Thank you for your help. I am still having trouble. As you can tell, I am not technologically advanced AT ALL. My music is all showing up in the library but when I go to file in the top left corner, Sync is greyed out and I cannot select it. I'm gonna continue to try this.
