Following one of the other similar posts I discovered that you only need to reset the keyboard dictionary to fix this problem rather than reseting all your settings
settings - general - reset - reset keyboard dictionary
Saves having to go through all your settings and adjusting them again all you lose is any of the words you've added to the dictionary.

Safari is very slow after the ios7 update. It is both slow to touch and respond and slow to execute the search. I have a lot of book marks maybe 100 in the book make bar. I have cleared cash and history still very slow to respond to touch.

I suffered with this too! Both on my wifes Ipad and my new iphone 5S when I upgraded to ios 7
Changing the favorites folder fixed the problem on the ipad and iphone BUT I still had hundreds (maybe thousands) of bookmarks stuck on my iphone. Most of the bookmarks were duplicates. The ipad recoved a lot better and did not have the duplicate bookmarks.
I started deleteing the bookmarks one by one on my phone but this was taking forever. I needed a better way but I'm not a super user and could not figure out how to just delete all the bookmarks.
I stumbled across the CopyTrans tool for my PC.

Basically connect your phone to the PC and run this program. Follow the instructions on their web page and you can then edit the bookmarks. After trying to delete them again one by one and not figuring out how to easily select them all, I simply selected the "Favorites" folder and then deleted it. Problem solved! The tool is kind of free but if all you do is just delete the Favorites folder then that counts as one action and you don't have to pay. At this point I'd gladly donate somthing to them for solving my Bookmarks issue!

TS3048 Wireless Keyboard very slow!

Hi Guys,
Just got myself a new ipad for work as i wanted to use it to compile reports. Bought a wireless keyboard, downloaded pages and everything was hunky dory until yesterday. I disconnected my pad from the keyboard and when i came to reconnect i noticed the keyboard was very slow and jittery at typing. You go to type a word and you have typed it before it even appears on the screen, and it takes about a second for each charater to load, its ridicolous. Also i have noticed it is duplicating letters but i'm not holding down the keys for a long period of time, this seems to be really sensitive. So by the time i have typed hello it comes out out 'hhelloo', then it is just as slow deleting than it is appearing. Tried changing the batteries but this has made no difference what else can i try?
Any suggestions as i am really loosing my patience and don't want to be throwing this keyboard off of the wall any time soon!

Was the keyboard previously paired with something else? What indications/messages do you receive?
In any event, try resetting the PRAM and SMC.

Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new). Has any of this been tried?

Bluetooth keyboard very slow on Pages

Is there any patch or fix for the extreme slowness using the Bluetooth LB with Pages? It's at the point where it's nearly useless.

Try new batteries and try restarting your iPad.
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the red slider appears. Slide your finger across the slider to turn off iPad. To turn iPad back on, press and hold the Sleep/Wake until the Apple logo appears.

Ios7 is very slow and heavy on iPad2 and iPhone 4s

Hi everybodies !
Does Apple is going to do something about the new ios7 ?
It's heavy as rock to run. If there's more than 3-4 apps running, then everything become slowish / laggy...just like the old versions of Android pads.
And I'm not even talking about games...what the hek !
ios6 was quick and snappy...perfect in a certain way...And now, why does ios7 has to be heavier on the machine than ios6 ? Is this what we call progress ?
Even if the interface is less "graphical" than ever, it's slowy and slugish !!!
So is there a way to get this ios7 running smooth ?
Before ios7, I never had to go on the bottom app menu to close apps in the way to free up memory...now this is the only way to get the ipad running "ok" !
Apple, DO SOMETHING !!

In the past you could close all the APP's by duoble clicking the start button, but now ti's not possibl.
Is this stil necessary?

I expected a performance hit, but my iPad is now unusable with the 10-15 second typing delay. I didn't expect to loose the use of my iPad through the upgrade.
I'm going to try a restore to see if that fixes anything. After that I'm out of ideas. I will be watching your post for other responses. I too have a post worded a little differently. Maybe that will get a helpful response.

IOS 4.2 very slow and unstable

since updating to IOS4.2 my iphone 4 has the following symptoms:
- very slow to pop up with the keyboard
- very slow when typing (keeps getting stuck)
- slow switching between safari pages, and loading other pages
- slow when scrolling on anything
- randomly crashes and reboots
- it gets worse and worse after 10-15 mins of use
- it has become borderline un-usable!
on 4.1 there was a few minor bugs but it was generally fast/stable.
i have looked on itunes to see if i can restore it to a previous synch'd version of 4.1 but it doesnt look like i can, without deleting ALL of my apps, texts, photos, favourites etc!
this has got to be the biggest **** up ever, not only is IOS4.2 terrible on the iphone 4 but Itunes software is the most clunky useless lacking program for updating/restoring the iphone anyway.
i guess the next IOS update will be 2 - 3 months away and it might still be unstable, i dont know if i can live with it that long, i might aswell send it back as its still on warranty and insured....

Hi Knackerman, I was racking my brain trying to think how I did this and then I remembered that at the time because of other problems I was having with my iPad and it was under extended warranty, they offered to replace it for me.
When I went to collect new one they asked if I wanted the to download iOS7 and they replied, NO, I did not, well that was enough for me and I told them to please leave it as is.
I just ignore all the reminders I receive to download iOS7 on my phone and iPad.
I am very happy with my 6 version.
I am very sorry I am unable to help, I know how you feel, I hated it, it caused so many glitches to my otherwise perfect iPad before instalment.
Overall though, I think Apple has to shake itself up, they are getting left behind in the Samsung wake.

Try the following:
*Typing lag iOS 7*
Settings>General>Reset>Reset all settings. This should improve the typing responsiveness
*Note:* Settings, preferences, network settings, etc will be reset. *NO data or media will be lost*
and/or
Settings>iCloud>Documents and Data (turn it OFF)

Pages on my iPad3 has become very slow to open documents after upgrading to ios7. I've clicked on a folder 5 minutes ago and am still waiting. The work-around seems to be to force-close it, but I've needed to do this many times in the last few days.

Since installing ICloud, and updating IO, programs and websites close whenever I scroll, going back to home page. I have tried turning it off, but that does not work. Can anyone help me out? Also, the keyboard is very slow.

I am frustrated with the new update and the ICloud. Any program i open, or website I am in, closes suddenly, an returns to the Home page. Also the keyboard is very slow. None of this existed until I did the two updates. Can anyone help?

There is no coverage map as such.
I live in what is considered a rural area and had techs driving 60-70 miles one way to get to me, never an issue.
Obviously, YMMV.
In my not-so-modest experience, both onsite and accidental damage upgrades are worth every penny if one intends to keep their ThinkPads for an extended period of time.
