A reset may help. Tap and hold the Home button and the On/Off buttons for approximately 10-15 seconds, until the Apple logo reappears. When the logo appears, release both buttons.
No content is affected by this procedure.

Turn off your phone. Make sure it's disconnected to your computer. NOW, plug your phone back to your computer while pressing the home button. Keep pressing until iTunes prompts you this "iTunes has detected an iPhone in recovery mode....". Then choose restore.

You are still under warranty. Take the computer to an Apple store or an AASP. Whichever is more convenient for you.

I'm going crazy with the liquify mask. I can not turn it off or errase it

Whenever I want to use the Liquify tool I can not transform my image. The mask tool is all over the image and I can not errase it. If I click no "None" on the mask tab, nothing happens. I can modify the image though but, the part of the image that I work on desapears from my file (appears as a transparent section). I have to shut down my computer in order to make it work justo once! First, try a system reset. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until the screen blacks out or you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes."

I would start your troubleshooting with the article below for issues of not being able to log in to your Mac. Start with booting up in to Safe Boot as well as resetting PRAM on your Mac. If that does not work, then verify the hard drive with booting to the Recover HD and go to Disk Utility to verify it.
