  • Push notifications for the social networking are not working. How to fix it?

Try to solve the problem of push notifications of social networking apps which are not working on my iphone 4. Fix it please..!

If you go to settings-->general-->accessibility then scroll down you'll see "increase contrast." Turn that off and your control center and notification center should become more transparent. I had the same problem and that's how I fixed it! Hope it works :)

  • I have tried this many times.  Our iPOD is not doing what it is suppose to.  When we go under GAMES put everything in it comes up You are not conected to the internet.  Online functionality is not available.  Please someone help us.

We can not get this thing working.  Done everything through the computer, got confirmation of everything and a sheet for payment on iTUNES for games.  When we go under the icon for games when were put Apple ID and the password it come's up,"YOU ARE NOT CONNECTED TO THE INTERNET.  ONLINE FUNCTIONALITY IS NOT AVAILABLE."  We have been trying for over a week to get this thing going.  Can someone please please help us.

Forgive what may be a dumb question on my part, but have you confirmed that the iPod is indeed able to successully connect to the Internet by going to a web page in Safari or some such procedure?

  • Network shares not showing up in finder osx Lion

The shares on my network are not showing after I tried this SMBup. I tried to follow this guide but things didn't turn up as I was expecting them to work.http://knowledgebase.hsti.com/re-installing-smb-on-mac-os-x-lion-10-7-x
This is the official website where in the middle of the page there is a note stating that "SMBUp installs Samba, which in turn replaces Apple’s OS X’s native netbios and SMB services. This means that while connecting to servers from the Finder remains functional, the Finder won’t be able to “browse” network services and servers from the network won’t show up in the Finder’s sidebar. Be advised."http://eduo.info/apps/smbup
So i uninstall the samba restart the machine and now my shares don't show in the left side pane of finder. How can I get them back. Is the netbios service disabled

Open Terminal and issue the following command
    ps aux | grep netbios[d]
if you get a line similar to this
    _netbios          45   0,0  0,0  2477156   2456   ??  SNs   9:14am   0:02.44 /usr/sbin/netbiosd
then the daemon is running, otherwise issue the following command to start netbiosd permanently
    sudo launchctl load -w /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.netbiosd.plist

  • Which networks are charged outside allowance

I am really confused to see that mvno numbers are charged at 40 pence per min. And there are more than 20 MVNO networks in uk. Kindly tell which networks are not included.
    Thanks

I know for certain Lyca is not included.
But The Peoples Choice network is included. Or was when I was on EE
Not sure on the others sorry.

  • My Macbook Air does not show up on my network to any of my other computers, Other computers on my network appear and disappear, some shared folders are not accessible

My Macbook Air with Lion does not show up on my network to any of my other computers (PC's) , even though it is connected to my wifi and does access the Internet. In addition, my other computers sometimes show up in Finder and sometimes they're not there. Sometimes they do show in Finder and when I click on them, I get "Connection Failed", other times, they connect. Also some shared folders on those other computers, which are PC's are not accessible, even though fully shared. My network is Apple Airport Extreme and works perfectly otherwise, including all PC's being able to see each other. Help would be much appreciated

I got the same problem. I want to access my shared folder on my home windows7 from my MBA. Tried many suggestions on the web but all to no avail. I thought that should be very trivial. Maybe a Lion bug?

  • Can I use this app to log on to computers that are not in a network

I'd like to be able to log on to a few clients' computers who are not on one network and be able to provide remote tech support.
Will this Remote Desktop app work for that, or does it only work for computers that are all on the same network?

Thanks so much.  I couldn't tell by reading all the literature if it was possible or not and no one at Apple could help.  I had a feeling it wasn't going to work the way I wanted it to.  I will check out LogMeIn and see if that suits better.
Appreciate very much your responding to me so quickly.
    Thank you!

  • HELP!  Leopard & XP Pro are not networking

Not sure why this is so hard to do!
Mac is running 10.5.2. PC is running XP Pro SP2. Both are wirelessly running off a Linksys router. The PC can open the shared files on the Mac. but the Mac can't open the XP shared files.
I tried using connect to server and typing smb://192.161.1.103 (this is the PC IP Address) but it fails and gives an error -36... I have tried everything that has been posted (inc making sure simple networking being off, enabling NetBios, creating a Home location instead of using Automatic, etc, etc)...
Then after 3 hours I tried connecting the wireless PC directly via ethernet. When I did that it opened another IP address at 104... so I tried to connect using connect to server and it did! I was able to copy files off the PC from my Mac (I almost started to cry!)
HOWEVER, This is not what I want to do... I need the PC to be wireless! When I disconnected the cable and rebooted the PC and tired to connected it failed (error -36).
Now what is funny is when I go to view workgroup computers on the PC it shows my Mac, but it doesn't show my PC network that I created (BTW both the Mac and PC network are using MSHOME)
I'm going crazy now trying to figure out why when I use setup a home or small office network on the PC, it doesn't show up! I'm sure this has something to do with why the Mac is not seeing the PC
    Please Help!

    Rodney,
    To answer your questions.
Yes I have turned off the XP Firewall (It's using Norton Firewall. I also added my local network IP addresses on the trusted list, just in case). The file I'm trying to share is the default Windows Shared folder, and a folder on the root directory of the C drive. And yes the workgroup name is mshome

Contact your carrier to ensure data access via their network is provisioned properly for your account and iPhone with the new iOS 6 update installed.

  • Wi-Finetworks are not saved as Known Networks

    Hello everybody!
I recently updated my iPhone to 1.1.3 software and I have noticed that the networks I have joined before are not saved anymore, which is very annoying because I have to enter the password every time I want to join to any "known" network.
The "Ask to Join Networks" option is turned on on my iPhone, but it appears to be failing or something, I join to my home wireless network every day and I would like to not enter the password every time.
Before updating to the new software (1.1.3) my iPhone joined automatically to the saved networks, but I don't know what is happening now.
I have not changed any setting on my router, that's why I think the problem is in the 1.1.3 new software.
    Any idea?
    Thanks in advance!

Posted below are possible troubleshooting steps that may assist with this issue
    1. Reboot iPhone - Hold down the home button & lock button together till you see the silver apple logo. Now let go. And iPhone OS will reboot. Now test your WiFi again.
    2. Reset Network Settings - Go to Settings-General-Reset-Reset Network Settings-Confirm. This of course wipes out all knowledge of any WiFi networks you were connected to including password. Please be advised VPN settings may also be reset and need to be set back up. Now test WiFi
    3. If you have bluetooth on. Turn it off. Test WiFi again. If needed go to WiFi settings on iPhone. If your connected to a network tap on the blue circle and up on top tap on Forget network. Go back to WiFi settings and reconnect to that network.
    4. Turn WiFi off then back on and test again
    5. Toggle Airplane mode on for 1 min then off. Settings-Airplane Mode - ON 1 min then OFF. Now retest WiFi
    6. Allow iPhone Batter to completely die out. Then do a full charge on it. Hopefully it dumps any temp memory during the discharge and draining of the electronics inside. Now test WiFi once fully charged
    7. Restore iPhone. -This will erase all data and settings. So please only do this if everything you want back is on the PC/Mac. Make sure once you restore you set it up as new iPhone. If you choose restore from backup there is a small chance it could bring back a corruption that was may of been causing the issue
    8. if you still have an issue. Power cycle your network equipment. Power down the Modem and Router for 5 min. Modem gets powered on first. Wait till all the lights are on. Then power router, Wait now test WiFi. (Please consult your ISP or Router Manufacture for assistance with power cycling your equipment.)
And one question. Does this occur on all WiFi networks? If so what security are you using? WEP? WPA? and What channel is the router broadcasting in?
    Post back if needed
