Yesterday I got the iPhone 5S and when someone calls me, it rings for few seconds and then it becomes vibrator and also when I play music it doesn't work the play buttom keeps on switching automatically to pause and play very fast. Also my friend has iPhone 5 and she is facing the same issue after upgrading to IOS 7.

The genuine Apple adapter works for me, most cheap knockoffs do not support sound ,it is usually in the micro print at bottom of the ebay offerring
It is pricey by comparison but it works and the knock offs usually don't pay the patent licence fee hence they guess the technology that is in the lightning plug
and charge a minimal price

You use the side control and make sure your phone isn't on vibrate. Up is for ringer down is for vibrate.

I cannot activate a ringtone which I prepared with Iringer. It appears in iTunes under sounds but doesn't appear in sounds on the iPhone!!!

if you created a ringtone, it should appear in the tone menu in itunes.
Is the ringtone 30 seconds or less?
Also I would check the iringer support site to resolve your issue.

Distorted sound using headphones with my iPhone 4

Hello,
I have a strange and very annoing problem that I am currently experiencing with my iPhone 4.
Basically I have a problem where when I insert my Headphones (The Genuine Apple Headphones with Mic) into the iPhone 4, every now and then I hear popping sounds and this also happens when I unplug the Headphones from the phone too. The major problem with this is that when I listen to music the Bass effects seem very distorted, to the point of which you have to turn the music up so loud to fix the problem that it deafens you. If you turn the music down low then all you can hear is a very deep bass kind of sound.
This problem doesnt just happen with music, its with whatever sound I play (whether from a video on YouTube, or saved on my phone, to Music on my iPhone and sounds on the iPhone itself.).
I cant tell if the iPhone speakers themselves are distorted however I dont think they are, I have listened to music through the speakers on the phone and they seem to be all OK, although I havent done any proper testing, this problem only occurs with using Headphones.
I have tried a restore in iTunes and this has not helped. The iPhone is running the latest and greatest system from Apple, in my case as I am writing this it is iOS 5.1.1.
The iPhone has had a service just recently as the iPhone's home button was not working, but it was fine after that. I have not dropped the phone either.
Could you please help me?

Could you clean the connector with cotton swab?I fear there is debris in the connector.
If it is the same,I think it should be open for major repair.

I'm having sound issues with my iphone 3gs

Ok, so the speaker sound on my iphone 3gs has stopped working. The only sound I do get is my ringtone and if I play a voicemail. I also do get sound when I plug headphones in. However, whenever I get a text message or an email, my phone vibrates even though my ringer is on. I don't hear the click sound when I unlock my screen or type anything. If I push the volume side buttons, the small, black volume/ringer box does not appear and if I play music the volume adjustment setting is missing. I've reset my phone, I've backed it up, I've messed around with the sound settings, my software is up-to-date, I've tried cleaning my headphone jack with a q-tip and nothing has worked. I have no idea why the sound stopped working since the speaker sound worked earlier today, I haven't dropped it, and I've only had this phone for about a year. Any help and/or advice would be greatly appreciated.

I'm sad to report that I have the same issues between three to four times a day. Before I got my iPhone 4S (first iPhone I've owned, btw) I used to have a Sony Ericsson C902 that I operated along with a bluetooth headset HBH-DS205 that used to work perfectly together. Now, with the headset and the iPhone 4S I keep noticing that the connection breaks and all I can do to restore it is to turn the headset off and on every time. I listen to music all day long on the headset and this issue can get to irritating levels. Also sometimes I feel stupid as at work I'm one of the few 4S owners and, the iPhone being a state of the art device, my coworkers get to see me scrambling to figure out whether I need to bring the phone up to my ear or just one of the earpieces to my ear. The headset also has a answer/hang-up button that as of late, for the same reason, I cannot know for sure will start or end a call. I would hate to be forced to drop the headset as I really love it too.

It also takes time for the photos to be transferred out of your iPhone and into Photo stream on Apple's iCloud servers.
Note that this can't happen if your iPhone is not connected to a WiFi network:
When you enable My Photo Stream on your devices, all new photos you take or import to those devices will be automatically added to your photo stream.
iOS devices: New photos you take are automatically uploaded to your photo stream when you leave the Camera app and are connected to Wi-Fi. My Photo Stream does not push photos over cellular connections.
Macs: Any new photos you import to iPhoto or Aperture begin uploading automatically when you have a Wi-Fi or Ethernet connection. Or you can change your iPhoto or Aperture preferences so that only photos you manually add to My Photo Stream are uploaded.
PC with iCloud Control Panel 2.0 or later: Open a Windows Explorer window and under Favorites select iCloud Photos if you are using iCloud Control Panel 3.0 (or Photo Stream if you are using 2.0 to 2.1.2). Do you have any sound? Do you hear the startup chime? Does iTunes play audio, for example? Is the same true of the built-in speakers and the headphone port? If you use the Accounts System Preference to create a new user and log out and then log in as the new user, does the new user get sound with those applications?
If you "zap the PRAM" you will reset the general system volume, but those applications may each have a volume of their own. If the system volume is up and the application volume is down, you still won't hear anything. You can reset the PRAM by restarting and holding down on the Apple-option-p-r keys all at the same time. Keep holding them down until you hear the startup chime for the third time. Then let go of the keys and allow the iBook to continue starting up.

Same here, I get no sound from videos, text messages. This happens for a while, then it works again then it doesn't work. When I go to settings, my "change with buttons" is on but buttons don't work. So what that means is when you have Do Not Disturb turned on, you may have an alert depending on the setting and how you are using your iPhone. So if it is set to Always, then that means that no matter what, your iPhone will not be notified. If it set to Only while the iPhone is locked, then that means that you will not get notification when your iPhone is locked but you will get notifications if your iPhone is being used. Also keep in mind the settings All Calls From can be set to certain contacts like Favorites, Everyone or no one. If you are using Do Not Disturb and you do not need it, then turn it off.

I don't think that a software update from Apple will solve the issues that you are having. You have a rogue installation. After you posted I have just done the following:
Disk Utility can verify my partitioned Volume (including my boot disk) AND REPAIR the non-boot disks on the same Volume without a glitch. It repairs the non-boot disks containing data smoothly.
I have used Mail to send some mails from some Yahoo and Hotmail accounts to my Thunderbird client containing GMail accounts - absolutely normal.
I have iLife '09 but my iMovie '09 and iPhoto '09 open in a jiffy and I see no issues here. I have 6GB RAM (Maximum) on an early 2008 Macbook Pro with a 750GB hard drive partitioned with 120GB reserved for the Boot Drive.
I am sorry that I cannot help further but I am sure there must be a way to reinstall the software without having to revert to restoring your ML backup. I have two clones and if you have such I would attempt to do that through that rather than through Time Machine - that is of course if you have a cloned drive.
