Place the iPod in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.
iOS: Wrong passcode results in red disabled screen
If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.

  • What to do if the buttons on your iPod touch 5 don't work?

I have had my iPod 5 touch for slightly less than a year. It has been working great however just yesterday my iPod has not been responding when i touch it. For example i can use the home button but when i try to put my password pin in its like I'm not even touching it, it doesn't work. The weird  thing is only half of the numbers are responding; numbers near the bottom like 0 9 8 7 6 work but not the rest. This is a very big issue because i can't use my iPod. Please answer as soon as possible.
PS i have restarted the iPod a couple times with the home button and off button but it doesn't seem to work

    Hello there, Rawan12.
Sounds like you've done some great troubleshooting so far. The following Knowledge Base article provides some additional steps and recommendations to further resolve the issue you're describing:
iPhone, iPad, iPod touch: Troubleshooting touchscreen response
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ts1827
    Restart your device
Hold the On/Off button until "slide to power off" appears. Slide to power off your device. When it is off, press the On/Off button to turn it back on.
If you can't restart your device, reset it by pressing and holding the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for a least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
Clean the screen with a soft, slightly damp, lint-free cloth.
Avoid using the device while wearing gloves, with wet hands, or immediately after applying hand lotion.
If you have a protective case, or if you are using a plastic sheet or film on the display, try removing them and testing the device without it.
If the steps above don't resolve your issue, please schedule a service appointment with an Apple Retail Store for evaluation. If an Apple Retail store is not an option, contact Apple to find out your best service option or see the Service FAQ for your product.
Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities.
    Cheers,
    Pedro.

  • I can not log on to my itunes account on my second generation ipod but I have no problem with the log on with my ipad.  The password doesn't work on the ipod touch.  Thoughts???

Trouble connecting to itunes store with my password on my ipod touch (2nd generation) but using the same apple id and password on my ipad2 I don't have a problem connecting to the store.
    Need troubleshooting

I have the same thing, same issues.  Just came from Colorado using my iPad extensively with no problems.
Get back home, there is an update on my home computer for Airport Extreme to 7.5.2 which I updated.  Also updates for iPad for 4.3.4 and now last night 4.3.5.
Still does not work.  I have not taken the iPad to another network locally, but my understanding is that it is not a problem with the iPad but with Airport Extreme's update. I have done all the resets, restarts, and turning on and off Wifi on the iPad and that does not work.
I would have to assume Apple is working on it.  Very frustrating since I am on my Mac Pro, iPhone 4, and other things and no problem.

  • My brandnew earpod's controller doesn't work on my ipod touch.

So 3 days ago I bought earpods, when i got home and tried them on the controller didn't work so today I went to exchange them but the controller still doesn't work. I tried them on my ipad 2 and the controller works fine. Is there a way to install them? Is there a problem with my ipod? I bought my ipod in November 2012 it's a 5th generation ipod touch with 32GB.

    - Try cleaning out/blowing out the headphone jack. Try inserting/removing the plug a dozen times or so. There is a little switch in the headphone jack that disconnects the speaker when the headphone jack is inserted.
Try the following to rule out a software problem
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
    - Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store. Seems you have a bad headphone jack or other hardware problem.

  • Apple Radio Remote doesn't work with the iPod Touch?!

In the Future it will be possible to use the iPod touch with the radio remote. About a week before on the apple store site the radio remote was supported by the iPod touch.

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Roberts-ROBI-DAB-FM-Radio/dp/B000WZHJC0/ref=sr11?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1257068810&sr=8-1
    Better than the Apple radio/remote.
Works with my (1st gen) iPod Touch.

  • HT1430 And what if this doesn't work?

My iPhone 4S will only display the low battery screen even after charging it to both my computer and the wall adapter for several hours (over 8).  Any attempts to restart it have failed, and it won't show up in iTunes for a restore attempt.  Is there anything else I can do?

Battery and associated wires Suspect at the first instance ?
You can get iPhone evaluated at Genius Bar for possible causes and remedy.

so let say i want to refresh the memory and the performance of my new iPod
how do i restart the device? there must be a way to restart it right?

i just got my itouch on sat and i put it in my locker for safekeeping on wednesday but at the end of the day i was cleaning out my locker it was gone! my dads gonna get really angry does anyone know what to do?

They cannot and will not block anything.
    You can look for it.
You can report it to the school and police.
    You should change your passwords.
    You can buy another.
    You can do without.
You can buy a different model.

  • If you restart your ipod touch as a new ipod touch will that delete your wifi information completley from the ipod touch?

  • What to do if you've lost your iPod Touch, and it has a Passcode? Please help!

    I need some major help!
My iPod Touch has been misplaced by me. It has a passcode. I have it set to where it automatically asks to connect to Wi-Fi when around the Wi-Fi, but since it has a passcode lock, I doubt that will happen in the lock screen. I put it into lost mode on Find my iPod/iPhone, but it's pending and must connect to Wi-Fi to begin anything I remotely do.
    Can anybody help me out?

    - The FindMyPhone app only allows you to locate one iOS device using another iOS device.
    - If you previously turned on FIndMyiPod (Settings>iCloud) and wifi is on and connected go to iCloud: Find My iPhone, sign in and and go to FIndMyiPhone. You can also wipe the device, and have it play a sound .If the iPod has been restored it will never show up.
    - Change the passwords for all accounts used on the iPod and report to police
    - Apple will do nothing
