  • Okkk sooo.... How can I copy the music from my old ipod to my new 30GB???

I just received my 30 GB ipod and I would like to put all my old songs from my ipod nano onto the ipod, before I start putting new songs on the new one!!! =] Is that possible??? I tried dragging the music folder and stuff like that to my my ipod but that didn't work of course!!! lol =] Are there any suggestions, please let me know, it would be greatly appreciated!!!!! =] Thank you in advance!!!!!

Since the songs are in your itunes you can just create a playlist that matches whats on your nano. Then sync the 30gb to that playlist.

  • HT1329 How can I move my music on my old iPod to my new computer, when I no longer have access to the old computer.

How can I transfer the contents of my old iPod to my new computer. The old computer is no longer functioning .

    - Transfer iTunes purchases by:
iTunes Store: Transferring purchases from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to a computer
    - Transfer ther music by:

Note t transfer iTunes purchases you have to know the account ID and password for the account that purchased them.  Also, if you did not purchase the music, you are not entitled to use the music.

  • HT1296 How can I sync the content on my iPad 1 to my new computer without losing anything?

My old computer (a PC) is crashed and is no longer usable. I hadn't synced my iPad to that computer in several months. Now, I have a Mac Air and when I plug my iPad 1 into it, I get a message that states the iPad is synced with another iTunes library. I'm given the option to Erase and Sync, but that will mean that I'll lose what's currently on my iPad. Is there a way to avoid that?

This will work with all purchased content on the iPad.
If you have synced photos on the iPad that you want to transfer to the Mac, you will need a third party app like Photo Transfer - or an application like TouchCopy, that will transfer everything into the new iTunes library - if you care to check that out.
    1) Without connecting your iPad to your laptop, start iTunes. Click on iTunes. Click on Preferences. Click on Devices. Check the box next to "Prevent your iPod etc. from automatically syncing." Click OK.
    2) Now connect your iPad to your MBA and start iTunes.
    3) When iTunes starts, right click on your iPad under Devices in the left column. Select Transfer purchases etc.
    4) After it finishes transferring all your apps to your new MBA, right click on your iPad and select Backup your iPad.
    5) After it finishes backing up your iPad, right click on your iPad and select Restore etc.
    6) After it finishes restoring, left click on your iPad , then click on the Apps tab on top, and check the box next to Sync Apps, then click on Apply below.
If everything on your iPad looks good after the sync, go back and click on iTunes / Preferences / Devices and UN-check the box next to Prevent your iPod etc. The only other thing you may want to check is if your contacts, bookmarks, etc. are syncing correctly now. If not, go to the Info tab after connecting and make sure you indicate which features you want to sync with what sources.

You can always download apps again at no charge as long as you use the same Apple ID. This will explain how to download past purchases if needed.

  • Can I copy the content of my Apple TV to a new Mac?

I have lost my entire iTunes library from a house fire, but I have my Apple TV with over 14,000 songs on it. Most from my also lost cd collection.
Can I copy the content of my Apple TV to my new Mac? If so, how

Not without doing things that void the warranty. You can always disassemble it, put the hard drive into an enclosure and copy things off it that way. Not for the faint of heart.

You'll need to copy the music from the old iPod back to iTunes first before you can transfer it to your new iPod. • How can i take the pictures from my old ipod and transfer them onto my computer without deleting anything

How can I take the pics from my old ipod and transfer them onto my computer without deleting anything?

Pictures on an iPod are stored in a special format, optimized for the iPod's small lower resolution screen, to save storage space.  iTunes puts them into that format when syncing.  There is setting in iTunes, on the iPod's Photos screen (where you set up syncing of photos) for Include full resolution photos.  If that checkbox was checked when you synced the photos to the iPod, THEN you can Enable disk use and find those photo files on the iPod in the Photos folder.
Otherwise, you cannot get your photos back, using iTunes.  There may be third-party utilities that can extract individual photos from the iPod, but they will still be lower-resolution versions of the original photo.

AAll of your iTunes purchases can be re-downloaded again. Log into iTunes Store, select the Purchases tab for Apps, Music, etc.
if you've been syncing your old iPod with iTunes, you can restore everything to your new iPod from the old backup.

  • How can I transfer the contents of Local Folders in Thunderbird from one computer to another, if both computers are already running Thunderbird?

On my old (Win XP) computer I had saved hundreds of messages in Local Folders.
I got a new Windows 8.1 computer a few months ago. I installed Thunderbird and have been using it ever since. But I would like to copy the contents of the Local Folders from the old to the new computer.
Is there a way to transfer them on a memory stick and get them loaded into Thunderbird on the new computer?

On the XP computer, select Help/Troubleshooting Information, click Show Folder to open the profile folder in Explorer. Open the Mail subfolder, then the Local Folders subfolder. There, you will see files with the name of your folders, but with no extension. These are the mbox files that contain the messages; copy them to the memory stick.
On the other computer, repeat as above to open the profile folder, exit TB, and copy the mbox files into the Mail/Local Folders directory. Open TB, and you should see the folders under Local Folders.

Exact same way as razmee209 stated earlier. The sync process for the iPhones and iPods is one way from iTunes to the device, not the other way. The 3rd party software is the only solution if the music was not purchased via iTunes.
Simplest way is to transfer all your user data (inlcluding iTunes library) from old computer to new computer.
