I was being super organised and due to a large amount of apps i decided to make a library in windows explorer dedicateded to apps - how can i get the updates put in the same folder. i also put my music and books into a seperate folder (not in the itunes music folder)how do i get new songs / new books put there?

Drag the artwork from the artwork window to the desktop. Then, select the song without artwork and drag the artwork to the blank artwork window.

How did you obtain these apps? All apps are DRM protected & tied forever to the account used to originally obtain them. They cannot be transferred to another Apple ID(account), nor can they be updated using any Apple ID other than the one that was used to originally obtain them.

The template is a document in itself, it is not applied to an existing document whether it is a Pages document or a Word document converted to a Pages document.
You would need to either copy and paste content, using existing styles, or apply the styles to the converted Word document.
You can Import the Styles from an existing document and those imported Styles can be used to override the current document's styles:
Menu > Format > Import Styles
The process is simplified if the styles use the same names, otherwise you will need to delete the style you don't want and replace it with the one that you do want when asked, then the substitution is pretty straightforward.

How can I get page 2 in the same format?

I have just completed the first sheet in Numbers, and I would like to know how to bring up successive sheets in the same format.
To get the first sheet, I went to:

File
New from template chooser
Blank
Now I have filled that sheet and would like to continue with sheet 2.
I tried clicking on Sheet in the toolbar, but got a very small sheet, not full size.

Depending on how your margins are set and the height of your table rows, you will get some number of rows per page. Your only control of where the pages break is with those controls. Margin setting is a Sheet Property and can't be changed page by page, but if there's a particular row that you want to end a page with, just increase the height of that last row until the rows below pop to the next page.
If you have a Header Row, you can ask it to repeat at the top of each page, so you don't have to manually repeat the column headings.
Knowing how to easily change the dimensions of a table, in rows and columns, is amongst the basic stuff covered in the Numbers User Guide. You can get it from the Help Menu. A good read on a Winter's evening.

How can I make move podcasts to the same folder?

I want my "RadioLab" and "This American Life" audio podcasts to show up in the same folder. I want this because when I plug my iPod into my car radio the next button in my car stereo will advance to the next iPod cast of the series, but it will not advance to the next series, for example it will advance through all the RadioLab podcasts, but when it gets to the end it jumps back to the begining, it will not advance to the This Anerucan Life series.

You can make a smart playlist containing episodes of both series and play from that. Podcasts are linked together by the URL they are served from so merging ongoing series isn't really practical.

When I put a song from the internet into an album with bought songs, it doesn't show the artwork for the added song. How do I get it to have the same artwork as all the other songs in the album?

If that was confusing, I'll reexplain it:
S, I bought 2 Lil Jon Kings of Crunk songs from itunes that were on the same album. The album was clean with no explicit sign on the artwork. Prior to buying those songs, before I had money in itunes, I got a song from that album from youtube, and I didn't put in "- clean" in the album name of that song. So, yesterday, I combined those 3 songs into just one clean album (the youtube song was clean also). Now, the 2 bought songs have the artwork without the explicit sign, but the youtube song has no artwork at all anymore. How can I make them share the same artwork?

How do I get citations to reference the same endnote?

I have a Pages document with small uppercase numbered endnotes that reference the same book or artilce in the bibliography at the end of the document. I want it to read something like this simple sample text:
Stars are big balls of hot glowing gas (1). Our sun is an average star (2). Blue white stars are hotter than red stars (1) The surface of our sun is hotter than the center.(2)

The problem is I can only get the small uppercase endnotes in the text to be consecutive 1,2,3,4, 5, etc. I don't want this. I want to be able to have some piece of text linked to the same number in the bibliography at the end so that the text citations could be something more like the simple example above like, 1, 2,3 2, 2, 2, 4, 2, 1, 4, etc.
Can you please tell me how to do this in either Pages or Open office?

Thank you for your reply but when I go to the top menu and insert a footnote or endnote the program does not give me the option of manually putting in a number. The number is put in automatically and I can only choose numbering that is continuous, restart with each section or restart with each page.
I am using Page '09 version 4.3 (1048)
Can you tell me what I am doing wrong or give me another suggestion?

It keeps changing the browser window, some programs in one window, others in another. How do I get everything back on the same window? I want this disabled but not sure how to do it, or how I even got it started.

I'm not even sure what to call this or how it got started on my computer. There is one finder window for firefox, and another for other programs etc. I want them all back in the same finder window, please! What feature is this which got things split up, and how do I disable it?

The Get Info. fields show up gray if the files is locked and iTunes knows it can't edit the file. Make sure the files are not marked as read only and, if necessary grant both your account and system full access to all files and subfolders of your media folder.
You can set Part of a Compilation for multiple tracks from the Options tab of Get Info.

Video mirroring shows the entire desktop on each connected display.
Choose Apple menu > System Preferences, click Displays, then click Display.

How does QtCurve get colors to stay the same? Somehow doesn't w/o KDE.

Basically, the one on the left is qtcurve-qt4 + qtcurve-gtk2 and the one on the right is qtcurve-kde4 + qtcurve-gtk2. I can't figure out what QtCurve is writing to some gtkrc file in order to allow this color synching. Does anyone else use qtcurve-qt4 + qtcurve-gtk2 and get something similar or is there something that I need edit in my gtkrc file in order to have the qtcurve-gtk2 match the qtcurve-qt4 without having to install qtcurve-kde4? (note: I am currently using gnome-color-chooser to adjust my colors. Without it, Qtcurve would be in a blinding white and blue color scheme)

I have just had a quick read. You may not have had much corrupted before you started playing but unfortunately you may have introduced a few extra problems.
You don't appear to have done the thing I would do first: delete the password entry in Keychain for any non-working service - they can get corrupted resulting in silly error messages.
I have checked for the latest Gmail settings and put them below. I advise that you use these with SSL for both incoming and outgoing email.

I would get the accounts working first before trying to move any further items in ~/Library/Mail
Once things are working you could try copying individual .mbox folders from a working computer to the problem one. Quit both Mail applications first.
I use POP on multiple computers and often use one to restore another. I Bcc all outgoing email to myself so all computers have all outgoing messages. I keep messages on the server for 122 days (4months) - slightly tedious to set this on Mail but it can be easily set to a month. I mainly use Thunderbird without any folders except the Archive ones so it is very easy to maintain the same structure on all computers.
You can always download everything on the server again by deleting MessageUidsAlreadyDownloaded.

How do you get PDFs to display the same fonts everywhere?

I have Adobe Acrobat 7 and I'm trying to convert a Word document into a PDF. It is set to embed fonts. The whole point of putting it into a PDF is so we can mail it around and it will look the same to everyone. However, when viewed on another computer (which presumably doesn't have our special font), it displays wrong. No error was displayed during the creation of the PDF. This is becoming intensely frustrating as we create a lot of documents to be printed by other people.
I have tried disabling "use local fonts" to see how it would display on other computers, but it looks identical to what I'm expecting. It's only a problem on other people's computers.

Also, when you say you have it set to embed the fonts, just how did you do that setup and how did you create the PDF from WORD - print to the Adobe PDF printer or PDF Maker, as well as what job settings file that was used. You may have done it all correctly and it is a font issue as graffiti has mentioned, but there are other issues that may have been created with your process that may also answer the question.
Looking to see if the fonts are embedded is the first step to resolving the issue.

How can I get string that is the same as the name show on the Jtable UI

I need to implement the jtable keystore searching feature.
but I face one problem. because in my application, there are many different objects for the data vector in the model of different tables.
in order to using the same class to do the search for all of the tables. I need to get the same string for the items showing in the table instead using
table.getValueAt(r, c) to get a object. threrefore I can compare two strings.
any advice is appreciated.

but the problem is Can we make sure the string we get
from table.getValueAt(r,c).toString
is the same as the string show on the JTable UI.That probably depends on the TableCellRenderer that is asked to render that particular column. I would assume that the default behavior is what you want, i.e. that the renderer uses toString() on the Object.
