My iphone has lots of musics, that were synced from my Windows computer. Some musics were purchased from itunes and others loaded from my CDs. I had to reinstall the PC and to format the disc, losing all the data information. Now, in the music area of itunes I only have access to the musics purchased from iTunes. I want to add one new CD music to iPhone so I have loaded to itunes bur now the problem is that it seams to me that if I do the sync I will lose all the previous songs loaded to iPhone that are not anymore in iTunes (CD musics). Is it possible to sync only one music (without losing the music that are in the iPhone but not in iTunes). If not, is it possible to recover all the musics from iPhone to iTunes, so I can reload everything against with the new music? Thks

sync to iTunes as your music should be in your iTunes media library.

First, read Wyodor's post about changing the publishing settings HERE.
You can create the extra folders in Home Folder/Library/Application Support/iWeb or, as I do, in a folder named iWeb in the Home folder.
Create a folder for each website, give it a suitable name and paste the Domain.sites2 file with all the websites into each.
Open each one in turn, double click the Domain.sites2 file to launch it in iWeb, delete all the sites except the one whose name is the same as the folder name, save and quit.
Now you can launch any site individually in iWeb and sent a copy of the appropriate folder to the client.

Transfer just one item from I-pod to computer

I have some movies on an I-pod that I seem to have lost from my computer hard drive after transferring my entire collection to a newer external hard drive (they were I-tunes purchases). I would like to move just one or two items from my I-Pod to the computer, not all my purchased items. When I do "transfer purchase items" it seems to begin moving everything. Is there a way to only upload one item at a time? It doesn't have to go my my libary if that makes a difference--I can always do that afterward.

Transfer just one song from iPod nano to mbp

Hi,
I have an 6G ipod nano and I wanted to trasnfer just one song onto my boyfriend's mbp (which is not synced to my nano). There is a transfer purchase option, but it transfers everything, is there a way to transfer just 1 song?

Not unless you put only one song onto your device. Purchases can't be separated into single items to choose and transfer.
And remember that songs are tied to the account they were bought with. You might have to authorize the Mac, to be able to play the music.

How do my wife and i share just one music account?

Ive had an iphone and an itunes account for a long time, and now that im married my wife also has an iphone, but with a seperate itunes account.
i have thousands of songs, she has only one album.
it seems dumb to me to have to purchase all that music a second time so i can install them on her phone.
so what do we do so we can share the music ive already purchased?

When you hook up your wife's iPhone to sync, you need to go to the Music tab, and select "Sync Music". Then, within that tab, you need to select what music you want to sync. The easiest way to do this is to create a Playlist that has all of the music she wants on her iPhone. Then, when you go to the Music tab, you tell it to sync to selected Playlists, Artists, Albums, etc., and then just check the Playlist that has her music.
You can create regular playlists, where you just drag and drop whatever music you want into the playlist, or you can create smart playlists that will automatically put new music in a particular playlist if you want it to. Regular playlists are the place to start. Try one out for her, and later, if you want to get more fancy, you can look into creating smart playlists.
My husband and I share an iTunes library, and i have created several smart playlists. One for my "Workin' Music", one for my "Nano", one for "Christmas Music" etc. as well as ones for his iPod. Then, when I sync, I just have the normal playlists sync with my iPhone, but, at Christmas, I also check the Christmas Playlist to sync so I have it for the season. Once the season is over, I uncheck it, and it is taken off of my phone until next year.
As long as you have both signed on to the iTunes library you are syncing with, and as long as you have both authorized that computer to your iTunes sign-on, you can share (or eliminate) any music you wish from your individual devices.

How can I transfer just one "group" of contacts to my Prius handsfree/bluetooth?

Apple had to replace my iPhone 5S because of a hardware problem. I had created a list of about 100 contacts to be transferred to my 2010 Prius onboard contact list. I did that in late 2013 by deleting all my contacts, importing the one group, transfering that to the Prius- then adding back all my contacts.
Having spent 1 hour on the phone with tech support today, I was told that with the new IOS- that can no longer be done. I can't believe there is no work-around. I only need 100 of the contacts out of my 3000+ to go into the Prius contact list. Entering over 100 manually will take too long- so really want to just sync via bluetooth. HELP!!!!!

I upgraded to the iphone 4, i got home backed my 3 up and transferred everything. At first my apps wouldn't switch to the new phone along with the music on my ipod on the 3. I got the apps finally on my new phone but i still cant get the iphone 3's music to my iphone 4s ipod.

iTunes includes an option to import iTunes content from an iPod, iPad, or iPhone that was purchased/downloaded from the iTunes store.
First you need to re-authorize your computer with your iTunes account with iTunes if you haven't already done so.
With your iPhone connected and without syncing, at the iTunes menu bar go to File > Import Purchases From > the name of your iPhone.

How to play just one song?

How can I get my iPod to play just one musical piece--to not automatically go on and play every song after it continuously? I listen to classical and symphonies can be 40-60 minutes long. I would like it to stop after one so I can then choose another. Can I set it to stop after each selection?

What happens if you go into the artist or album lis and juts pick the one album it is on? I am fairly sure that when you play an album, it plays everything in the album and then stops.
So if your symphony is a single album, you should be able to pick the album and play it that way (vs. going in and searching for the song in the big song list).

What happens when you try to redownload them ? What you can re-download (the types of content that you can redownload varies by country) will show under the Purchased link under Quicklinks on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page on your computer's iTunes, and the Purchased tab in the iTunes store app on your iPhone (and similarly for apps in the App Store app). If you still have your old phone then you should be able to copy your iTunes downloads from it over to your computer's iTunes via File > Devices > Transfer Purchases

I have two apple id's one from my old laptop and one from my iPhone. I saved my iTunes library to my external hard drive and then tried to transfer it to my iMac. My music skips like a scratched cd now and I can't add any to my iPhone. Help please!

Of what did your old Mac die?
It sounds to me like you have some file corruption somewhere. Either in the transfer of your library to the external or the external itself is flaky if it keeps ejecting.

You should be storing everything on your computer. Just sync it to the iPhone of your choice from your computer.

So I just upgraded to an iphone 5 from a 4s becaused the screen did not work any longer, however, my 4s still works so I've got everything still but for some reason it will only transfer half my music to itunes so I can't get all my music onto new phone

So I just changed from an iphone4S to an iphone 5 because my screen didn't work any longer on the 4s but the phone itself still works so I managed to get all my contacts etc BUT for some reason I can't transfer all my music across to itunes and therefore I can't get it onto my new phone, it only transfers about 50% of it.
Then when i go into music on the iphone 5 it shows the music but won't let you play anything and just flicks through all the songs without playing anything.
Can anyone help please?

Thank you - I thought that might be the case BUT why doesn't the music play that I have bought from itunes - do you happen to know please.
All that happens is it just flicks through it all and won't play any of it???
As in I select the song and it just flicks back one screen (if I am making sense).....
I am really stuck and cannot work out what's gone wrong that's all.
Considering a reset of my new iphone and trying again but done that once and it's still the same.
