The first thing would be to determine what type of Tv you have. If its relatively recent, it should have HDMI inputs.
But make sure by looking at the back fo the TV. It should have a port that looks like this:
In any case, both the Apple TV Box or the Lightning Digital Av Adapter require an HDMI input to work.

I actually have 2 adapters and have tried them both with the same results. Both adapters work as intended on my HDTV. However when I attempt to use them on my HD projector I get White Noise/Snow/Static.

The projector finds the source fine but then displays the static instead of the iPad screen. The iPad screen will flicker into view every minute or so for about 1 second. Then back to the static. I have used many other HDMI devices with these projectors (I have 2 and they both do the same thing with iPad).
Has anyone else experienced this issue? Has anyone had any luck using the 30-pin to VGA adapter?

I have an iPad 3 and Sumsung HD TV with an HDMI input. Is their a cable out there that will allow me to connect my iPad to my TV so I can stream video/pictures, etc. to my nice big screen TV? My iPad has the lightning jack and I don't see any HDMI to lightning connectors to support this connection. Thanks for your help with this.

if you have a 6th or 7th gen classic, you'll have a have the video out cable from apple. only the 5th gen will play with a generic 3 connector video out cable.

Can I connect an ipad to a different computer than my iTunes library

I have a quick question.
I have an ipad that I purchased and used for a while in my home. I synced it with my library on my computer.
My sister was looking to buy one for her son who has austium. I gave her mine and left it synced to my library because of my kids I had alot of Apps that would be useful for her.
She wants to transfer some photos to the ipad for her son to use in certine apps but does not want to have to email them all to the device just to get them on the device.
So my question is can she connect the iPad to her home Computer and transfer the photos to iPad without loosing the information that is already on the iPad. such as if she were to download iTunes onto her comp and sign in using my account info that she already has for purchasing apps.
Reason for asking is that I live in Connecticut and she lives in Georgia, so the easy trip of handing the ipad back to me to sync doesn't work well.

Why are you putting scanned copies of valuable identity information into a computer than can be hacked, stolen, lost or compromised by a dirty tech?

If it's iTunes music, it has your personal ID embedded into the song files. Most IT techs know this though.

Too late now, all you can do is not worry about it.
Take your personal info out of the machine and if you need it, burn cd/dvd copies, a few USB thumb drives, Iron Keys or self encrypting external storage drives with key and/or keypad.

I know, you can have multiple email accounts. i have 3 on my iphone 4. But if my wife, daughter, and I all use the ipad. Can you set up email to ask for what account to load?
Again, i know you can switch after the fact. I am trying to avoid the scenario where I may see my daughter email, or my wife may see mine. Not that we have anything to hide. But if i order flowers or something, i wouldn't want here to inadvertently see the conf email because ipad defaulted to my account.

Perhaps consider setting your family up with Gmail accounts. Gmail (Google's email service, even though you probably already knew that) is totally free and has an awesome web interface, especially on the iPad. Then each member of your family could log in/out of their Gmail accounts using mobile Safari.

Is it possible to have multiple ipads on one account and share info, but also allow the individual users to have personal email that is not seen on the other ipad's? We have all ipads on same icloud account because we all need to see the same ical. It seems like that's the problem. If it IS related to icloud then if we have separate icloud accounts, how would we share the main ical otherwise? Sharing the ical is very important for this business so everyone can access the daily schedule. Of course each user still wants to have private email.

you could set up the main icloud itunes acount for ical and not have in setup on the devices
and share the calandar with the other itunes accounts on the devices
or only have it on one device
devices have the users indervidual itunes icloud setup
they should be able to access the shared "main" itunes icloud ical account once it's shared
