I think the title says it all really. I am looking to buy my brother in the UK an ipod touch so we can have a good chat via facetime as I find it better than Skype BUT I want to have the conversation on the tv rather than all the family trying to cram around an ipod touch or the ipad. Is there a way of hooking the devices up to the tv so we can acheive this? It would be great if we could. I know you can hook up an ipod to the tv to watch films etc if it jailbroken so the technology is there but do Apple utilise it all the way? If not why not? No, sorry. It's Only for the 5 gen. But you can always trade in your old iPod Touch into apple and use that money towards the new iPod Touch

I am using IOS 4.1 in Ipod touch. I would like to take my data back using icloud. I am not able to enable icloud in to my ipod touch. please help me for the same. Basically I am trying to take back to upgrade my ios to 5 or 6 version.
You can't back up to iCloud until you update to iOS 5 or higher. You will have to back up your iPod on your computer using iTunes. Update iTunes on your computer to the latest version, then connect your iPod to your computer, open iTunes, if iTunes give you a pop-up asking if you want to update your iPod, decline. Then click on the name of your iPod in iTunes, go to File>Devices>Transfer Purchases to transfer any purchased media to your iTunes library. Next, go to the Summary tab of your iTunes sync settings and click on Back Up Now to back up your iPod on your computer.
When it's done backing up, click on Check for Update (or Update) on the Summary tab of your iTunes sync settings. Allow your iPod to update, and leave it connected to your computer. At the end, it will restart and give you the option to restore to the iTunes backup you made earlier. Choose this option to restore your backup and sync your apps and other iTuens media to your phone.

Help me!!:( I wanted to buy an app, but it turned out that i had to get an iOS upgrade. My iPod Touch is a 3rd generation, and it hasn't got iOS 5. I've tryed allmost EVERYTHING to upgrade it.... I've downloaded the newest version of iTunes, tryed to get some help in Apple Support, and that is too complicatet for me to understand, because english is not my languege. They say I just have to connect my iPod to iTunes, and iTunes will do the rest... IT DOSN'T!! I search for an upgrade, and it says; "This is the latest version of iTunes"! I KNOW!! But what about iOS?!?!?!?!?! HELP ME!!

- What version f iTunes do you have on the computer. I need the versin number, not just thatyou have the latest.. You need iTunes 10.5.x for iOS 5
- If you have 10.5.X and you are stuck at iOS 4.2.1 then yo ally have a 2G iPod. Those can only go to 4.2.1. If yours is an 8 or 16 GB one, it is a 2G. Apple only made 32 and 64 GB 3G iPods. A 32 GB one can be either. To identify yours see:

. As Apple said in June, iOS 7 is not compatible with the 4G iPod.

Hi Pez,
iTunes in the Cloud is not iCloud. Any songs that you have purchased but have not downloaded (or have deleted), go to iTunes in the cloud. The setting I mentioned will show all of your purchases in the various views in the Music app, whether they are on your device or not. If you turn that setting off, you will only see items that are actually on your device.
Glad to hear the second sync worked! But if they all start appearing again, make sure that setting is turned off
