  • I Need product key to activate windows my Device (HP Pavilion x2)

No one here or at HP will know your product key. It usualy comes stickered to documentation of your product (if it was factory refurbished it will be included. Seller refurbished may have opted not to include it if it was lost). There were ways of extracting it if you were still in windows 8 but it seems you are beyond that now. It also probably would have been included with the windows 8 backup you should have had windows make before updating to 10.  At this point you are probably out of luck and should make the most of windows 10.

Hi Team  I format all device data and after install win 10 i facing  issue in my tablet X2 so i need to back it to win 8.1 and after that upgrade it to win 10  smoothly so i need product key  of win 8.1 becasue installation of win 8.1  not start until write the key.please note when i buy it i see already has gunion win 8.1 . give me the activation win. key  becasue this is urgent  and if you need any information about Device let me know so i will give to you .  Thanks a lot

  • Need product key number for installed Robohelp HTML

    Hello,
Can anyone tell me how to determine which product key number
for Robohelp HTML X5 is used on a particular machine?
We have two X5 licenses here, but I only want to upgrade one
license on one machine. I do not know which product key number was
used to install X5 on either machine.
I'd like to maintain older projects using X5 and upgrade one
license to develop new projects using Robohelp 8.
From what I understand--and PLEASE correct me if I am
wrong--I can run both versions on the same machine as long as I
    install in different folders.
    Deb

I don't think there is any way of telling but suggest you
phone the activation people. If anyone knows, they should.
    http://www.adobe.com/activation/phonenumbers.html
You can install RH7 on a machine with X5 but you will have
issues if you need to use RoboHelp for Word in X5. Importing Word
docs and printed documentation will still be OK.

Sir Huffer, you used windows 7 to install. Our **bleep**ing company technician used windows 8 pro to reinstall on my pavilion ultrabook 14-b109ex when he messed up with its shrinking of c partition and did not made a recovery disk. I read elsewhere that it reflushes the firmware bios and thus changes the embedded original windows 8 home or basic to windows 8 pro cracked version compared to installing windows 7 only. Is it true that bios embedded original product key windows 8 is reflushed by windows 8 pro cracked version? Or is it true that only a desoldering of the bios can change the embedded product key by resoldering new physical bios chip? If windows 8 home can be flushed away for good by windows 8 pro where on earth can I find my original bios embedded product key. Some say the sticker is on the power supply, but wouldn't want to check because I just bought this ultrabook and have just used it for a month or two. The way it goes is that this would be a classic example of paying for a product key and throwing it out for nothing. I don't think hiding the product key is an advantage for everybody, there's always an exception. And if there's just a paid version for getting back my product key, what's the use of having a one year warranty? Thank you for hearing my grudges. At least it relieved me a lot, even there's no solution to my problem anymore.

  • Need product key for windows 8.1 recovery, have only windows 7 key in bios

    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

windows 7 product key is not in bios, the machine shipped with Win 7 are already activated with Volume License Key. If your machine isn't shipped with Windows 8, then you need to purchase the key yourself.

  • Reinstalling win 8/8.1 need product key

ordered a recovery disk for Windows 8 1 and don't have a key product key to reinstall it
    This question was solved.
    View Solution.

    Hi,
You may need to explain this issue a little further.
If you ordered the Recovery Discs from HP, they will be for the version that originally came with your notebook - Windows 8 - and activation should be automatic.  You would then need to do the free upgrade to 8.1 again.
If you've ordered media from another source, they should also provide you with a product key.
    Regards,

  • Need product key for my Satellite C55-B1061

    hi
    my English not good
    I have laptop c55-B1061
can you tell me where can find product key of windows ?????

Please check this Toshiba FAQ doc:
Windows 8 has not been automatically activated after the first boot of your new Notebook
    http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/TSB2A03ET0000R01.htm
Usually the system will be activated automatically if internet connection has been established during the first boot.
So please connect the notebook to internet in order to activate the system.
If it will not work, follow the workaround described in the Toshiba document.

  • Worn out label ; need product key

I am using HP Pavilion dv6-3216us Entertainment Notebook PC
I formatted my  C drive to install fresh Win7 as the recovery manager failed to update  , but the product key on the rear got worn out , some of the product key characters are not clear.HP team would be able to provide me the product key???

    No they won't.
Best solution is using a tool like Windows Loader that will simply add the OEM cert files to your install making it validate to your genuine SLIC2.1 BIOS.
More manual way is in link below:
    http://techdoors.wordpress.com/2012/09/26/activating-windows-7-oem-way/
    HP won't help you & MS won't too .
People with stickers want take pic when new & email it to yourself or duplicate the serial on a sticker & put it in battery bay.
The standard new OEM stickers are very poor quality ...

  • How to Find Product Key

I recently took over as a Tech Coordinator at a K-12 school. I have group licensing for Adobe Captivate 3. My predecessor wrote the product key on the outside of the case with pen and now it is smudged. I sent an Email to Adobe support but they said that they cannot find the serial number in the registration database. Is there any way to find the product key? Perhaps through the registry? Thanks in advance for the help.

If your notebook came with the English version of W8 64 bit you can download the correct W8 ISO file and use this tool to make a bootable flash drive to install it, and it should work just fine.  You need a 4 GB flash drive.
    http://download.cnet.com/Windows-7-USB-DVD-Download-Tool/3000-18513_4-10972600.html
Below is the link to get the W8 ISO file you need.  See Huffer's post.
    http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Hardware-e-g-Windows-8/Need-Product-key/m-p/2592907#M96681
If you do not have the English version of W8, then you will either need to buy recovery disks for your specific model or purchase W8 OEM for the language your OS came in or buy Windows 7 and we can probably try and find the drivers you need as W7 is not supported by HP in W8.
Recovery disks from another model will not work. Has nothing to do with the product key.
    The product key is there.

I need my product key to enable to activate windows vista home premium and i can't see it on Certificate of Authenticity label

Once the label is worn, you cannot get another key for free. You are better to order a recovery disc set from HP, then you dont need a key
You can order HP recovery media below, or call HP on the phone to order 1-800-474-6836

  • Do i need a product key for windows 7 to make a partition on my iMac?

I want to borrow a Windows 7 install CD off my friend to make a windows partition on my
iMac 2008. Do i need an unused product key with that CD or can the same key be used more than once? The CD in question has been used once before to install the system onto my firend's laptop, but its not an upgrade CD. Thanks in advance. Tom.

Wrong forum, depending on how you are installing (Boot Camp, Parallels, Fusion etc) you need to  post on one of those forums. I'm guessing you may be using Bootcamp, that link is
    https://discussions.apple.com/community/windows_software/boot_camp
Good luck. BTW you may want to consider buying  your own license of Windows.

  • Do I need the XP product key when restoring from the backup CD's?

I bought a Thinkpad z60t about six years ago from a computer dealer on the internet.  It came with Windows XP and Microsoft Office installed.  The first thing I did when I received it was to burn the backup (restore) CD's (eight of them, I believe).
There is something wrong with the computer:  it sometimes takes about two minutes to go from a request to shut down to the window popping up to select 'shut down' or 'restart'.  I am thinking of formatting the hard drive and restoring the computer from the restore CD's.  But before I do...
will I need the product key for XP and / or Office?
will I be able to get service pack 3 for XP somewhere?
when I created the restore CD's, did they include Office, or does it only include XP, drivers, Thinkpad software, etc?  Is there any way to tell what's in them?
    Thanks in advance,
    Ron

The Recovery-CDs contain the pre-installed product key, so no activation will be needed. Xp Service pack 3 will be installed by running windows update.
The MS-Office is an add-on, which you won't find on the recovery-CDs. With AIDA32 you can read the product key for the next installation (and the XP-key). Additionally you'll need to save the directory, where the uninstalled MS Office can be found.

  • Need To Find Product Key For Windows 8

It's my son's laptop and I bought it brand new in January 2013. It crashed two months later. I tried to get help through HP but to no avail. They told me to update the BIOS, which I did, and it worked for maybe a week and crashed again. I had a friend wipe it and start over twice after that because it just kept crashing. I then called HP, since it was still under warranty, to have them send me a new one since this one was obviously defective and the lady with whom I spoke said she would have someone call me back to help me. This never happened. I just gave up on it and bought another laptop in March 2013...the same exact brand, model, specs, etc. and have had absolutely NO problems with it since. I've since decided that it merely needs a new hard drive, which I am more than happy to purchase and install. It is the only thing my son has asked for as a Christmas present this year. The problem I have is that I don't have the product key for the OS. It came installed with Windows 8 and I have read through several other messages and understand that it is not something you can buy, however, I do believe, and feel that I am entititled, to have the product key so that I can properly fix my son's laptop. After all, it was a defective laptop/hard drive with which to begin and since HP support was actually of no support whatsoever HP should be willing to help with this situation. I have only ever used HP for desktops and laptops and have since 2001 and this is the first product I have purchased that was probelmatic.
Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you.

    Hi:
Microsoft did away with OEM product key stickers starting on all PC's that come with W8.
The OEM product key is now encoded into the BIOS in order to prevent it being used on other PC's.
So, your notebook does have a product key.
You just can't read it and if you order recovery media for the specific model notebook, or use a Windows 8 OEM installation disk you won't need the key.
It will automatically enter itself during the installation.

  • Do I need to buy a certificate or a product key in order to sideload a LOB Metro app?

Do I need to buy a certificate or a product key in order to sideload a LOB Metro app?

As far as I can tell you will either need an Active Directory Domain + Windows 8.1 Enterprise or you will need a sideloading key. In addition to that you will always need a certificate but you can generate one yourself and use that (provided you install
the public key of your own Certificate Authority on all devices before installing the App).
A good overview can be found here:
