If your device is not recognized by iTunes, I would recommend the steps in the article below. Start with the section labeled Verify that the Apple Mobile Device USB Driver is installed > For Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 8 > Update the Apple Mobile Device Driver. If the issue persists try all remaining steps.

Does a little box come up seeing the iPad as a camera? That doesn't impact iTunes as much as it confirms that your computer sees the device. If your computer doesn't see it then iTunes doesn't know it's there.
If you're plugged into a hub or extender, try plugging it directly into the box or main part of your computer.
If you're using an extension, stop and just use the included sync cable.
Try using a different USB port.
After you installed iTunes, did you restart your computer?
Usually what's needed is the 'apple device driver' which installs automatically, you just need to sometimes trigger the install, using different ports helps with that.
If the simple trouble shooting doesn't help then you can search on the Apple Device Driver and there's more detailed trouble shooting on the site.

TS4062 I am completely frazzled! My iPhone 4s says I'm over my GB's so now I can't even delete ANYTHING, not even my texts! also when I try to sync with Itunes it says there is not enough room in the itunes library for me to sync. What do I do now?

First off try and go into your IPhone manually through My Computer and cut photos or anything you can through the device to be able to free space up so that you can continue to do what you want to do with ITunes. This way you will be able to create a backup or do what you have to do to manage your information, photos and texts on your device a little better.

TV Show Not Tranferring From iTunes to iPod When I Try To Sync-Please Help!

Hi, I am sure there is a simple answer to this but I am new to iTunes/iPod so I cannot for the life of me figure out what I am doing wrong despite scanning thru iTunes help and forum topics. So, I purchased an episode of Big Love (I know, like you care), and I have tried multiple times to sync my iPod (3rd gen) but I cannot get the show to appear on my iPod. I have tried both the automatice and manual sync options to no avail. When I hit sync, iTunes says it is syncing but stops after a couple of seconds. If you can help me out I would greatly appreciate it!!

The first of the video capable iPods was the fifth generation 30 GB model that came out in 2005.
The last generation Nano (aka fat Nano), 3rd Gen, was also video capable but that doesn't appear to be what you're referring to.
In case you do have the right iPod but are just confused about which generation try the following :
If you bought the HD version iTunes also downloaded the SD, standard version, as well and that's what you sync to the iPod. Right click on the show and scan down the menu till you get to 'Version'. Click on it and select SD.

Dolphin / Kde 4.10.4 kex error : did not find one of algos zlib@openss

When I try to sftp:// via Dolphin into my Android slate I'm seeing this error:
kex error : did not find one of algos [email protected],zlib in list none for compression algo client->server
I can sftp without any issues in the terminal.

This problem connected with proxy-setings.
As the first steps you should try:
       1. export system env variable:
http_proxy=http://www-proxy.ru.oracle.com:80
https_proxy=https://www-proxy.ru.oracle.com:80
no_proxy=127.0.0.1,localhost
and you can also export
    export OS_TENANT_NAME=admin
    export OS_USERNAME=admin
    export OS_PASSWORD=root

Server could not find any Meta-Data devices!

Our MDC dropped out and the backups did not engage.
On a reboot of the MDC we were able to mount the volume, but all files (QuickTme movies, FCP projct files) could not be opened with an "unknown file type error".
We shut all the clients down we checked the volume and (cvfsck -nv) and while "dirty" it did not report any errors.
Stopped the volume and ran a cvfsck -w which gave us:
"Server could not find any Meta-Data devices!"
Checking Xsan admin logs shows us:
"PioOpen: no such device.
Fatal: Cannot open stripe group "md" - Operation not supported by device
Fatal: Physio_init failed."
Where "md" is our metadata storage pool.
We shutdown all switches, RAIDS, clients, etc, but bring them all back up and checking with one MDC or another is the same result. Volume will not mount.
All fiber connections seem good, checked in RAID admin and on switch.
Ideas?

Hi guys. When I try to sync my iPhone 4 to my iTunes on my computer it tells me that it can't find the files. So I'll manual dint he song and identify it for iTunes. iTunes will then ask me if it am identify the rest for me but it never can. Playlists on my phone have disappeared because I can no longer sync the songs because iTunes can't find them. This all started when I put ringtones from iTunes onto my phone. Maybe it somehow deleted the music library because I get is exclamation marks by all the songs which no longer play ( which is most of them)
Please help me this is so frustrating!!

The last thing you want is a second iCloud account. Try logging out and back in in System Preferences. If that doesn't work, I'd get AppleCare on the line.
