Click here for one free example that may do what you want.
There are others that offer different features.

Open PhotoBooth in the Applications folder. I believe Command- T will trip the shutter. Check in the Menu bar.

The troubleshooting steps for the camera on the iPad are similar to the iPhone: I've highlighted the pertinent steps below:

If the screen shows a closed lens or black image, force quit the Camera app.
If you do not see the Camera app on the Home screen, try searching for it in Spotlight. If the camera does not show up in the search, check to make sure that Restrictions are not turned on by tapping Settings > General > Restrictions.
Ensure the camera lens is clean and free from any obstructions. Use a microfiber polishing cloth to clean the lens.
Third-party cases can interfere with the autofocus/exposure feature and the flash; try removing the case if you have image-quality issues with photos.
Try turning the iPad off and then back on.
Tap to focus the camera on the subject. The image may pulse or briefly go in and out of focus as it adjusts.
Try switching between the front and the back cameras to verify if the issue persists on both.

I recently bought a Foscam FI9821W Wireless IP Camera to work along side my image comparison VI.
Is it possible to connect to this Camera through the VI by changing the "Select Camera" funtion or something close to that?
Any help would be appreciated,

Do you have the camera file for your camera in the correct folder? Every camera used with National Instruments software requires a camera file (with the suffix .icd) to work with NI software. NI's vision software comes with many camera files bundled, but it seems that yours is not part of that lot - you can view the camera files in the National Instruments>>NI-IMAQ>>Data folder. You will need to either (a) get a camera file or (b) create one yourself.
a) Many companies have the camera files for their cameras to work with NI hardware. Contact Foscam and see if they can send you the camera file for this camera. This is pretty common. If not...
b) You can create the camera file yourself by using the NI Camera File Generator. You will need the specifications sheet for your camera so you can input the correct data it needs. You can find more information about the Camera File Generator here: http://sine.ni.com/nips/cds/view/p/lang/en/nid/14207
Once you have the camera file, make sure to save it in the data folder I showed you above, with all the other camera files.
If I am mistaken and you already have the camera file, then we will need to get your camera showing up in MAX. Please let me know if this is the case and we can continue troubleshooting from there.

Taking picture with the back camera causing iphone to reboot

Hi,
I've purchased a brand new Iphone 4, whenever I try to take picture with the back camera, it causes the Iphone to reboot. I tried rebooting it multiple time, resetting all the settings, but it doesnt solve it.
Any Idea on how to solve this ?

If a Reset and a Restore from backup and as a new iPhone or not from backup does not resolve these two issues, time to give AppleCare a call, or make an appointment at an Apple Store if there is one nearby.

I use my Galaxy Note 2 as a monitor when shooting with my 60D. The phone has a program I uploaded called DSLR Controller. This program allows me to use my phone not only as a monitor, but a remote control as well. I do some real estate photography where I elevate my camera on a 20 foot pole and can see and fire the camera using my Note 2.
I also have the software that came with the camera to use a laptop for the same functions, but I find the Note 2 is not as bulky when taking a shot and moving to another location and shooting again.
So LOTS of options are available!

Try a reset. Hold the Sleep and Home button down for about 10 seconds until you see the Apple logo. Ignore the red slider.

I can't take pictures with my iphone

I can't take pictures with my iphone b/c it says I don't have enough storage. I only have 120 pics on the phone now. My settings show I have 14.6 GB available of a total 15 GB. Why can't I access it to take pics?

Have you tried a Reset...
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Release the Buttons.

Why can't I take pictures with my iPhone 4?

In some strange way i'm not able to take pictures with my iPhone 4 since a couple of days ago. In the begining it said that there weren't enough storage in iCloud something.. (it just suddenly stopped letting me take pictures, even though I was able to take one just a few hours ago, the same day.. I'm able to take print screens and it looks like this when I'm trying to take a photo). After some reasearch I do have enough storage at iCloud and also in my iPhone, which now makes me believe the storage isn't the problem.
I've also restart my phone a couple of times, reseted it by pressing and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time (until the Apple logo appears) and updated/connected it to iTunes on my computer. What's next?
