HT1473 Where is the 'File' menu? It doesn't exist!

Help please! Just downloadeed the new version of iTunes (yuck) and when I try to add folders of music there is no option! The Help part of the website says 'go to the File menu# but there isn't one!!!!
It's the PC version.

I am a first-time MacBook user and have used a PC for years. I am trying to use the Pages software on Mountain Lion - on my new Mac. I can't find the "File" menu in order to see how to "save," "save as," or especially how to save it as a .doc so that I can use my personal Mac at home to create documents for my work-PC world. You will find things different to Windows but after you have a look around you will find a tremendous amount of consistent simplicity.
One reason that a Mac's screen feels so open and legible is the lack of the clutter and wasted screen of Windows.
There is absolutely no need for all the duplication of menus, ribbons, toolbars and oversize dialog boxes that eat up screen real estate on PCs.
Take the time to either do the Introduction to the Mac on these support pages or attend a familiarisation session at a local Apple Store.

Where is the file menu on Itunes for PCs?

I just did the latest itunes update and I can't find any menus...I see my songs and apps, but where is View, File, etc? I want to be able to choose what songs are on my iphone but it doesn't show up anywhere so I have to keep plugging it in and unplugging and plugging in again....

HT1848 Where is the "File Menu"?

Can anyone tell me where this "File Menu" that will lead me to the "transfer purchases" option is? I just installed itunes last night, and am wondering if these same instructions I am reading everywhere no longer apply to a newer version of iTunes. I am advised to click on an icon in itunes that I cannot find.

I know from the name you would never guess it could do a vertical FlowLayout, but it turned out to be far more flexible than I ever imagined it would be. Are you able to print the webpage to 'Adobe PDF' to convert it to pdf.

In many, many apps Apple has now created a confusing array of "save as..", "export", and "duplicate" all doing essentially the same thing - saving a new copy elsewhere possibly with format changes. Drives me nuts.

The help says that I need to clickon the store menu in iTunes. I do not see any store menu. I can access songs that I purchased a while back, but cannot download any new purchases. Thank you Peggy. Yesterday, I found a lengthy discussion on how Save As went away in Lion and returned in Mtn. Lion. I followed Kurt's instructions for adding Save As... back to the file menu with the proper key combination.
Wouldn't you think, especially with all this controversy, that Numbers Help would include the instruction for using the Option key in it's Saving your files topic? How else would one know, except by coming here and getting advice from people like you?

I just installed Firefox 8 on my Mac that is running OS 10.7.2. When I went to the File menu to import my bookmarks from Safari, the "Import" option was not there.

You can find the Import menu entry in the Bookmarks Manager (Library)

Hello, I just downloaded Firefox 28.0 Beta and I do not have a touch setting option in the file menu. I am using Windows 8.1 on an Acer R7-571. I have the new orange tile on my home screen but it takes me to desktop mode. I cannot see any difference between this an the new touch beta images posted on the Firefox website. Do I need to do something else or is something wrong? Thanks.

So Firefox on Windows 8 remembers the last environment the browser lives. You clicked on the orange button and it launched in classic mode. If you opened Firefox in classic last time, next time it should launch in classic again.
To switch from classic to metro UI, the user need to open orange Firefox menu and select "Relaunch in Windows 8 Touch mode".
