I have two Apple products, the Mac Mini and an Iphone. But, I can't transfer the music from my mac mini to my iphone (and vice versa) using ITunes, without losing my songs on my iphone. I really want to add the new songs on my Mac mini to my iphone (I used to sync to a PC that doesn't work anymore). Can anyone hlep me figure out what to do?

So heres the problem, once you sync your iphone with a computer it only lets you get music from that computer and vice versa for security reasons. Otherwise, you could just download music from everyone's computers and no one would even have a reason to buy music anymore, causing huge problems for the music industry. If you bought all of your songs from Itunes though, you can download those to your mac mini and then resync your Iphone with that pretty simply. If you need help with that, just comment, and we should be able to help you.:)

Happy with my iPhone 4s so far, no battery issue's and an excellent phone but there is one thing I dislike with a passion.

This is the dumbest feature of the iPhone in my opinion and makes functionality a pain.

Put all your music in one computer liberary, network the computers to use this shared resource so that you can add and remove music from any computer on your network. You are then saving space across all your computers and will be able to keep your music archive well organized.
Back up your music on an external hard drive, USB drive, backup drive or cloud storage just like you would anything else you don't want to lose. Having the music on various computers isn't more safe than having it on one computer. If you have it on one computer and it crashes you lose everything its true, but if you have it on multiple computers you will only lose part of your library but the chances of something going wrong are now upped because you're working with 4 computers. Its good to back everything up anyways.

Why can't I sync my notes from my iphone to my iMac?

I wanted to sync my notes from my iphone 4s to my imac(OS X 10.8.2)
So I went to icloud on my iphone, checked the 'notes' box and made a icloud mailaddress, but it never askes me to set a password. But a account was created anyway and I can send and receive mails with it.
I went to my imac, settings, icloud and there I wanted to enter my new icloud emailadress, but it asked for a password. I have allready tried my appleID password but the account is nog being added.
I also tried checking the notes box with the icloud option that was in the left column, but nothing is happening.
What am I doing wrong?

I plugged my iPhone 4s into a 2nd computer I own. Why can't iTunes transfer my music to my iPhone?

Plugged it into my MacBook, updated the iTunes software. But I can't transfer any of the music without syncing! I tried to drag files to the iPhone but it doesn't let me.

i have my iphone 5s plugged into my mac and everytime i try to sync my library with the 5s it tells me that my computer is not authorized to transferred my purchased songs from itunes. it then tells me to go to store>authorize this computer, I do that and I get a message that says this computer is already authorized but then it still wont sync my music to my new phone. Is iTunes on your computer signed into the same iTunes Store account as your iPhone 5s, and the same account as the music purchased on the iPhone 4s?

If you don't still have your PC (copying content between computers) or your content on a backup that you can copy the music from then you will need to get a third-party program for your computer to copy it off your iPad - iTunes will only copy iTunes purchases.

What you could do, is have the Library content on the external hard drive and simply tell your iTunes programme to look on the hard drive for your music etc.. However, once you set that up, that hard drive needs to be connected and ready to read, before you start the iTunes programme. If it isn't ready, iTunes will simply go back to the default location for the music, find nothing and then you'll be back here saying that you've lost your Library.

The way I do it is I hook to my windows computer, it will pop up iTunes. I click iTunes off. The phone will show as another drive on your computer. Click it open then migrate to the photos folder from the iPhone.
Then select all, cut then right click on your pictures folder on your computer or make a new folder on your desk top like I do and right click on new folder and select paste.
Photos will be gone. Just remember to turn off the iPhone sync in your photos folder on the phone or they will come back

iTunes purchased content can simply be re-downloaded to iTunes by using the "Purchased" quick link on the right side bar. Non-iTunes purchased content must be extracted from your phone, using something like this:

The iTunes content sync is one way: Computer to phone. You can also transfer iTunes purchased content by using iTunes>File>Transfer Purchases...your phone connected, iTunes running, without syncing.
Make sure you are signed into iTunes using the same account on your phone, & that the computer is authorized: Store>Authorize this Computer.
