My iPod will not charge and I need it to charge. My charger is one that I got from wal mart and its not the original. My computer will say its not a reconizable device and that it's malfunctioned. My iPod is now completly dead.. It has the charging symbol then goes off when my computer rejects it.. PLEASE HELP ME!

Logic's preference files may have become corrupted:
1. Quit Logic Pro
2. In the Finder, press and hold down the "option" key then select "Library" from the "Go" menu
3. Open the "Preferences" folder
4. Drag the following files to the Trash:
    - com.apple.logic.pro.cs
    - com.apple.logic.pro.LSSharedFileList.plist
    - com.apple.logic.pro.LSSharedFileList.plist.lockfile
    - com.apple.logic.pro.plist
    - com.apple.logic.pro.plist.lockfile
These files will be re-created when Logic is next opened.

Once you have created a PDF file with Acrobat.com, this file will live in your file organizer; if you select the file, you will have the option to download it. You can do this either while viewing the document (by clicking the "Download" button in the top menu bar) or from your organizer (hovering over the file name, you will see a little arrow; click it, and in the resulting menu choose "Download"). In both cases, you will be prompted to choose the location on your computer to which to save the file. Once you have chosen a spot, the file will be saved there.

If you've tried the basic troubleshooting steps (restart, reset, restore from backup, restore as new), and you've tried charging from a wall socket and these all fail, then you have a hardware problem.
If your unit is still in warranty, you will be eligible for a replacement with a refurbished unit free of charge. If you are out of your warranty period, you will be eligible for an out of warranty exchange which will cost the equivalent of 200 US dollars.

Anyone have any suggestions?? I've run iTunes for years now, this last update "killed" the ablity for it to run automatically on my Win7 machine. I've unloaded EVERTYTHING apple on my computer 3x times now, reloaded, as admin - even paid for cleaners to make sure. Run all the Microsoft patches, updates, everthing I could find...NOTHING seems to be working.

This sounds like screen curtain may be enabled. Screen curtain is a feature that allows display privacy. To disable screen curtain while VoiceOver is enabled, you can three finger triple tap the screen to disable this feature. You may need to press the home button once in order to process these steps. How can I manage several ID on my computer, one for my iPhone and another one for the iPad of the family?

Hi everybody
Just have bought an ipad2 and i would like to manage several IDs on my computer (i.e keep my iPhone ID and create another one for the ipad to manage apps for my iPhone (4) and the apps for the iPad).
How can I resetup the iPad to create that new ID on itunes?

If you have separate iTunes accounts for the two devices then you'll need to buy 2 copies of any app that you want on both device - you can't copy or move apps from one account to another (they are tied to the account that bought/downloaded them). If you want to reset the iPad then logout of the account on it (Settings > Store and tap the id on the right-hand side) and then Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content And Settings will reset it back to factory defaults.

Even when I restart, shut it down; or when it runs down to no battery, when I plug in the power cord for a while, it loads up to the same stinking screen!
PLEASE HELP ME!

Restart the computer and immediately hold the option key down.
If the computer boots and you see two hard drive icons, use the arrow key to select the Recovery drive, and press Return.
You will get to a screen that looks like the image here:

Select the fourth item and press Return.
In Disk Utility, select the hard drive in the left column, then First Aid, then click on Repair Disk.
When that is done, quit DU and restart the computer.

I've reread your question several times and am not sure I understand it.
Are you trying to basically start over, as if you just took your iPhone out of the box? If so, do:
Settings > General > Reset > Erase all content and settings

My purpose for copying to a CD or DVD is so that I can make copies and send to friends and relatives. What is the best way to get these files on a CD/DVD with the right codecs?
The easiest thing to do is to simply tell your friends and relatives to copy the files to their local hard drive before playing them. Your basic problem is that data discs have a limited real time transfer rate. Since you say VLC plays the files fine, I might suspect its player is likely buffering the data while the QT 7 Player is not.
Data discs made for playback directly from the CD or DVD are normally encoded using MPEG-4/AVC (H.264) video with AAC audio. This is a modern codec which has specific settings to re-package the data (i.e., must be encoded using the multipass option and then select the "optimize for CD/DVD" option).

sales at AppStore are based upon 'users'= accounts; if the other Mac is running under your account, you can download and install a copy of iMovie 'for free' (the ToU of Appstore allow to install purchases on as many computers you own = running under your account)
If the other Mac is running under a different account, you have to log-in at AppStore under those account, and purchase it it.

That latest update is a removal tool for the Flashback trojan.
One of the ways the earlier versions of that trojan were distributed was through fake Adobe Flash downloaders.
Why are you repeatedly installing Adobe Flash Player? (not iPlayer - that's a BBC thing.)
The only place from which to get the Flash Player plug-in is directly from Adobe themselves - Never Trust a Pop Up that says you have a missing plugin!
Also be aware that the Flash Player is not a standalone player; it's a plug-in which installs in the Library and is available for all the browsers to use.
As for what you do now?
Nothing for the moment - you should be clear.
But to be on the safe side, go to the Prefences for each of your browsers and disable Java (not JavaScript - that's a whole different animal). As Java is the vector used by the most recent versions, that should ensure you don't get reinfected.

That happens sometimnes with jailbreaking.

You can log out of an account (you can't 'cancel' an account) by tapping on it in Settings > iTunes & App Store - any content that you downloaded with that account will remain tied to that account. You can then create a new account via the Create New Apple ID button on that screen.
